SETTING INFORMATION

City Name: Dascoria

Affiliation: Sith Ascendancy

Demographics:

80% Human
20% Other (mixed species)

Wealth: Medium

Stability:

The city, under the rule of the Sith Ascendancy and it's laws, is a high stable city. The citizens of the city are content, forgoing rebellious ideas in favor of growth. The citizens, despite being under the rule of Sith, are harmoniously happy and pleasing.

Description:

The city is a sprawling definition of labor. Each citizen works diligently to etch out a meaningful lifestyle, knowing if they falter in their goals their rulers, the Sith Ascendancy, would help support them.

The citizens are treated well, and each citizen is willingly to pledge their services to the the Sith Ascendancy in the event of invasion. The overall consensus is that of satisfaction.

POINTS OF INTEREST

Ord Biniir Shipyards: The shipyards occupy the back end of the city, bordering on the forest itself. The yards are massive, accounting for approximately 313 meters with several construction sites built inside the fenced off area. Each construction site houses a specific type of ship produced. In the center of the shipyard, sits the R&D building.

The G'ydor Palace: The palace was constructed on the eastern side of the city, on a 15 meter mountain top overlooking the majority of the city. To make room for the palace, several forest regions where removed adding to the size of the city itself. The Palace is three stories high and has a width of 45 meters. The palace is heavily guarded due to the political environment it hosts.

Cloning Facility: The oldest structure in all of Dascoria, the cloning facility resides in the middle of the city. The building is a massive domed facility that is 17 meters in height and 60 meters in width. Disguised as a science lab, the facility is used to fabricate clones of all species; if the credits match the request.

Industrial District: Sprawling like wild vines on the western end of the city, the industrial district has 13 major complexes and 6 minor complexes; each complex producing various types of materials. 3 of the major complexes work directly with the shipyards, producing two-thirds of the materials needed to build ships. The complexes are heavily regulated in terms of pollution, to prevent the city becoming smog infested. The entire district takes up nearly 180 meters of city land.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Dascoria City was founded 600 ABY by a sect of rogue Mandalorains looking to upgrade Ord Biniir. The planet, covered mostly in canyons and forests, was void of any major cities for the few scattered settlements across the planet. The idea for the city was to create a metropolis that would bring credits, various cultures, and a new identity for the planet; among other reasons. The rogues understood that the survival of the city rested not just with Mandalorians, but with other species as well. However, most of the city is inhabited by humans, from various planets across the galaxy, and mixture of alien species.

The site of the city was erected in a forest area, giving it a slight defensive advantage against ground invasions. While the city slowly began to grow, so did they need for more space. So some of the surrounding forests were cut down to accommodate the expansion of the city.

With the growth of the city, certain landmarks began to crop up. A group of scientists backed by an unknown supporter set up a cloning facility. The facility was disguised as a massive research facility, to prevent uneasiness from the citizens living in the city. Clones, for the most part, were frowned upon since the days of the Galactic Empire; most feeling they were not actual people but monstrosities set upon the galaxy.

A shipyard was established by a group of shipwrights to not only produce ships on the planet, but to bring in credits to help support the financial needs of the city. Because the city held little in exports, this was a means to elevate the wealth of the city; and by proxy the planet.

Soon industrial complexes began to emerge, and the section of the city where these buildings sat became known as the Industrial District. The complexes produce several types of materials, goods, and wares. Just like the shipyards, this was also to bring in credits for both the city and planet through exports, and to alleviate the needs of the citizens by cutting down on the imports required.

The G'ydor Palace is the most recent addition to the city (established 850 ABY). With the planet falling under the rule of the Sith Ascendancy, the palace was established for the housing of the planet's governor.

During the Gulag Virus outbreak and the 400 years of Darkness, the city suffered only slightly due in part the city wasn't fully established during the events. It wasn't until 725 ABY did the city begin to fully grow. However, the city suffered tremendously during the Netherworld event; where the city's population lost nearly 45% of it's inhabitants. After the event concluded, a baby boom took place, and soon the population began to grow. During this regrowth, people began to flock to the city from all over the galaxy to either etch out a new life or escape the wars that were cropping up in the Core and Outer worlds.

POINTS OF INTEREST
I really like what I see, but the above point needs to be fleshed out for the sake of having something in the city's sub in case these are not submitted later.

What I suggest is writing some short descriptions of what the different POI's are and then expanding upon that description later when you submit the submissions for said POI's. A paragraph each should suffice.
