Drios Rapux created this weapon on Panatha as a Sith Knight, months preceding his ascendance to the rank of Darth Sibilus. He had the need for a new lightsaber following the loss of the one he had come to admire in some invasion of a war-torn world for his Emperor.
He built the blade in the Temple of Nereus beneath Mt. Viryzeyr on Panatha, connecting his ancestral links to the old Epicant religion and his new allegiance to the Dark Side of the Force. As such, Drios named the sabre Niriûsottoi in the Sith language(for Nereus) in homage to the God and the Sith, though this is not common knowledge.
The hilt is rather ornamental, owing to his wealth and status amongst the Epicanthix and is slightly curved; enough to allow him to switch between Makashi and Djem So comfortably. It emits a blood-red blade which can alternate between two lengths, a favourite trick of Sibilus being to elongate the blade just when his opponent thinks they have stepped out of his reach.
