Mortyra does not pursue galactic conquest or public power. Her influence spreads quietly through criminal ecosystems, occult networks, and carefully cultivated dependence. Entire operations can fall beneath her control without ever realizing who truly sits at the center of them.

Her true obsession lies elsewhere.

Mortyra is a practitioner of numerous forms of Sith sorcery and magick, specializing heavily in blood magick, alchemy, and fleshcraft.

Through years of experimentation, she has altered herself, created relics, replicated abilities believed unique to isolated Force traditions, and engineered abominations from harvested organic material and alchemically altered flesh.

Sorcery & Alchemy

Mortyra's practices revolve around transformation and invasive alteration. She does not create simply to destroy. She creates to understand how far something can be pushed before it breaks.

Her work draws heavily from blood magick, Sith alchemy, fleshcraft, ritual sorcery, relic forging, and the replication of forbidden Force techniques.

Many of her creations are stitched together from multiple living sources before being reshaped through alchemy and magick into something entirely new. Others originate from attempts to recreate or refine abilities believed impossible according to surviving Sith theory.

Her methods are deeply experimental, and failures are studied as carefully as successes. Knowledge is rarely sought through patience alone. Mortyra acquires it through theft, purchase, excavation, coercion, or direct pursuit.

Her practices evolved further after becoming tied to a clan on Dathomir through her wife. Exposure to Nightsister magick and Dathomiri ritual traditions expanded her knowledge considerably, though her methods remain distinctly her own. Rather than preserve such practices faithfully, Mortyra often adapts and experiments upon the techniques she acquires.

Sith Training

Mortyra was never shaped by a formal Sith Order. Her descent into the Dark Side began beneath a single master, a Sith sorcerer who had long since abandoned institutional doctrine in favor of pursuing arcane knowledge wherever it had been buried, forgotten, or forbidden.

Much of her life was spent in isolation alongside him, moving from one ruined world to another in pursuit of relics, rituals, and forms of magick deliberately lost to time. Her training centered far more upon acquisition and experimentation than ideology. Ancient practices, blood magick, alchemical theory, and techniques abandoned even by many Sith became the foundation of her upbringing.

She had no peers in the traditional sense. No academy. No rivals competing beside her. Only instruction, survival, and a master willing to push both himself and his apprentice into increasingly dangerous territory in pursuit of more.

The worlds they traveled were rarely empty. Mortyra survived encounters with wraiths, beasts, abominations, rival seekers, and the many things left guarding places never meant to be disturbed.

Eventually, she killed her master.

Rather than discard his title, she claimed it as her own. Darth Mortyra was not inherited as an honor, but taken as proof that what he once possessed now belonged to her instead.

In many ways, she continued the same pursuit afterward. The difference was that she no longer remained hidden among ruins alone. Through the Twin Suns cartel, Mortyra carved out a power structure entirely her own while continuing to seek the forbidden knowledge that had shaped her from the beginning.

Twin Suns Cartel

Originating on Tatooine, the Twin Suns cartel expanded gradually across various worlds, embedding itself within existing power structures rather than openly conquering territory.

Its operations span spice trafficking, smuggling, slavery, assassination contracts, black markets, information trade, relic acquisition, and illegal experimentation networks.

Over time, the cartel evolved into something highly adaptive and difficult to dismantle.

The Twin Suns functions less like a rigid hierarchy and more like a living ecosystem. Individual cells, factions, smugglers, enforcers, merchants, and intermediaries operate with significant independence while remaining connected through mutual profit, dependency, fear, favors, and carefully cultivated reliance. Entire settlements can fall beneath the cartel's reach without ever being formally claimed by it.

Because of this decentralized structure, the organization rarely requires Mortyra's direct oversight to continue functioning. The systems she created sustain themselves, spreading organically through instability, economic dependence, and opportunism rather than military occupation.

Violence is applied with precision when necessary, though subtle control remains far more valuable than spectacle.
