PART I: AWAKENING (863 ABY - 866 ABY)

Born the sole daughter of Darth Prazutis and Darth Alekto in a body created through Sith alchemy from Shi'ido stock, Vesta Zambrano never knew the joys of childhood. From her birth, if one could even call it that, the Zambrano was forced to experience early adulthood and forgo the innocence of youth. Her mother, Braith Achlys or Darth Alekto, shed her life essence in the ritual that created her in order for her to be born, while her father imparted much of his will to ensure their child could survive the tribulations she would endure being their offspring in a galaxy that wanted their family dead.

The process her mother underwent to drain her own life force to fuel Vesta's culminated in her annihilation during a fateful duel with Spencer Varanin, which saw that the two mutually perished during the fight, and cemented a deep-seated hatred in the shapeshifter for all parties involved in that conflict, extending even to the families of those present. A hatred that pushed the Zambrano to learn to kill before she could properly speak, a passion that led her to isolation where others might have searched for others to find comfort in, and a drive to create a purpose for herself that, in her mind, started with the revenge killing of Spencer's daughter, Quinn.

Only for her to stumble at the last moment, knife in hand, and for the two to instead fall in love - for a time.

As the Shi'ido would soon learn, devotion was a temporary construct of conscious origin, it wasn't a fact of life. The two parted ways abruptly, either interpreting the desires and actions of the others to be wanting the other to leave, and that hatred she'd buried deep now consumed her. Hatred, now, for herself and her naive trust, trust that led to her self-mutilation and nearly her own death until a timely intervention of her father and estate placed her under house arrest in secret under their property on Maena. Forbidden to have contact with the outside world, and quite literally chained to her bed, Vesta dwindled in both mental and physical fortitude until she was little more than a craven echo of what she had once been.

Until the echoes of Csilla's screams reached her ears.

The Brotherhood of the Maw's actions and their destruction of the Chiss homeworld empowered her enough in the force, as a being that was nourished solely by it at this point, to break free from her bonds and leave behind her family home for a time to discover what had happened in her absence - and to fulfill an agenda that had been forming in her mind the entire time she was imprisoned.

Hell hath no fury -

PERSONALITY
As much a monster on the inside as she appears on the surface, describing the personality traits of Darth Mori quickly turns into a game of opening a thesaurus and looking at the word "cruel". There is no one that escapes the reach of her callous nature, not allies, not enemies, not friends, and certainly not lovers - tell her your greatest fear and fully expect to face it. Power hungry, acerbic, and most certainly deranged, much of this is hidden under the veneer of what might almost be described as an air of politeness - at least when the moment serves. Mirroring her ability to change shape on a whim, she changes her behavior just as quickly to whatever is most beneficial to her, though her true nature is just as one might expect from such a sociopath.

Cold, callous, caustic, and cruel.

      • Faceless: Vesta can change their appearance at will - either into anything they have seen, or anything they can visually imagine, provided their body can handle the change in size or shape. This only alters their physical appearance, and other identifiers - such as scent or their presence in the force need to be masked through the force. It is believed that their original appearance was molded after her mother's original appearance, rather than the strange look of a normal Shi'ido, but the only person alive that might know the veracity of that would be their father.
      • Effortless: Given life through a complicated process that involved taking a fatally large amount of their mother's essence and much of their father's, with a body that was bio-engineered specifically for them, Vesta takes after both of their parents in regards to their natural potential with the force.

      • Light: Due to the unique circumstances of their "birth", Vesta is especially vulnerable to force light which can inflict physical harm to them.
      • Size: Though Shi'ido are able to take nearly any form they desire, there are certain drawbacks in altering one's size too far from the point of origin - shifting to mimic a Hutt or a womp rat, either one, would result in Vesta being stuck in that size for a long period of time, several days at least, before their body can handle shifting back to a more normal size.

PART II: TORCHES (866 ABY - 867 ABY)

The Empire lay broken, Korriban just as much a tomb as the ones that dotted its surface, yet the darkness called for her still.

Darth Mori, as she was now called, took on Aradia Pavanos as her new apprentice to replace the one she had lost to a ruined relationship, and the two left behind the last vestiges of an older Sith regime in search of something greater. For Mori there was a desire for growth, progress, and the potential that her apprentice retained hinted at a future that was far more promising than the one that her previous path had been leading her down. Prestige was not her greatest aim, however; galactic change was. A revolution of the mind, of society, sat in the forefront of the Sith lord's thoughts and at the center of each and every goal she set for herself. Power was something she already had, influence, however, was all that remained for that to be realized.

Darth Solipsis, and the New Sith Order, extended to her the chance she needed to achieve that.

Though she, the pair of them in actuality, remained an isolated cell from the greater order, and the Maw in general, Mori continued to throw her support behind the group in the events surrounding Korriban and beyond. This ardent support in a zealous Sith Order, however, eventually led to a confrontation between the Shi'ido and her former flame - Quinn Varanin. In an effort to destroy the identity she had crafted for herself in the past as Vesta Zambrano, to return to the path she had been intended to be set upon before meeting the Echani, the Sith forced Quinn to witness a gruesome act of self-mutilation before Mori revealed, or perhaps confirmed, the truth of her identity.

This trial over Rhand saw not only the shift in who she was, but also what - her merciless self-harm used to transform herself into a being not dissimilar to the likes of Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus, and in some ways very much a half measure of the lengths that both of these fabled Sith took to assume the notoriety they had been remembered for.

Death, it seemed, was just another role for her to fill.

      • Amorphous: Born without an appearance that was truly her own, and as a Shi'ido strandcast, Darth Mori shares the trait of her species in that she can take on any individual or objects appearance without even the smallest of differences.
      • Silver Tongued: More than just charisma, so much more than just a twister of truths and an effortless liar, Darth Mori manipulates others through words with an effectiveness rivalling her shapeshifting in believability.
      • Sion's Second Coming: During the Confederate invasion of the Maw-held Rhand Mori suffered near complete annihilation from planetary bombardment - but through sheer will, anger, pain, and torment was able to hold onto life through the dark side of the force as Darth Sion once had. Death, now, seems possible only through a limited set of means - most likely the light side of the force or other force-related means, or perhaps just a complete atomizing without a chance for her to reform. Thermal detonators might do the trick.

      • Light: Due to the unique circumstances of their "birth" and the process she requires to continue living, Darth Mori is especially vulnerable to force light.

PART III: FREEDOM (867 ABY - 874 ABY)

Nirauan. Revenge. Failure..?

She nearly showed her hand too soon on Nirauan, the site of a battle that saw the Maw clash with the New Imperial Order, during her confrontation with the man who called himself Imperator. Rurik Fel, like Tavlar before him, was the embodiment of the source of her own injustices - the first card that fell which toppled another and then the rest until they collapse onto her even before she was born. The true ambitious intent she had for joining the Maw and pursuing the path of power and destruction she was on was nearly laid bare as she hinted towards what had then been a secret, Tython. The two dueled and she nearly lost sight of the grander picture when the opportunity for personal vengeance was almost handed to her.

It was a mistake that cost her an arm and nearly her life.

That misstep was one she learned from, albeit brutally, but it was one worth taking when the consequences turned out to provide her with a far greater boon than merely luring the man towards an early grave on the core world ever could. Her rage and the pain which carried it had propelled her directly into the attention of Solipsis once again, only this time he sought her out rather than the other way around. Learning from her mistake on Nirauan, Mori chose to assert her readiness to participate in his schemes while she righted herself and returned to the road she had set out on originally for - one which didn't include the Sith'ari in her vision of an ideal future.

Embodying the hunger for the end wasn't all she was meant to be, however, as an enigmatic Onrai approached her with an offer that was far more dangerous in the Sith's hands than the woman gifting it to her could ever possibly understand. Following a procedure that violated every law of nature that the Jedi and anyone even slightly concerned for the literal persistence of the galaxy itself ascribed to, wherein her heart was cut from her chest and the crystallized heart of a slumbering Typhojem himself was its replacement, the woman was transformed into the very thing she despised - with the express purpose of eradicating all of the rest. Days later and the other half of Carnifex met with Mori on Thule in a fateful confrontation that would determine how the stage for Tython would be set.

      • The Darkness: It speaks to her - the dark side of the force flows through Darth Mori's veins in equal measure to the blood in her body, held so tightly within her after years of falling further and further into the abyss. Personal murders, planet-wide genocide, the consumption of innocent lives and their very souls through indiscriminate draining of the force have stained her presence in the force dark like the void of space, a visual representation of the strength she has hoarded in it.
      • Pain Manifest: To be burned alive is to experience agony, to be ripped cell from cell is to experience a pain unlike any other, and to survive orbital bombardment is something so excruciating that words are difficult to find that could describe that sort of torture - and Darth Mori has experienced all three. To survive each of these increasingly lethal sorts of experiences the Sith turned towards the dark side of the force in its purest expression - a perversion of life. Regeneration fueled by the sheer rejection of expiration, Vesta's body is slowly pieced back together over time - and constantly experiences the full extent of every moment of agony she has ever had at the same time as a price paid to the dark side in return.
      • Pale Rider: To feed on the force is to invite a hunger that is addicting, to drain it from another living thing is to create a habit that cannot be turned away from, but to feed on the lives across a planet is to tear open the force itself in such a way that it must be consciously held shut, to create a hunger that will passively feed on all life around it until there is nothing left. For Darth Mori this entails a gaping tear within her very soul that constantly drains everything around her - only through active willpower can she contain that hunger, otherwise an entire world would be placed in peril given enough time to feed.

      • Light: Born in a dark ritual to force the creation of a child from the force, through the sacrifice of countless lives lost on Borosk, Vesta Zambrano was brought into the galaxy with the cards stacked against her wherever her family's natural enemies were concerned - a murderous sociopath that is hellbent on the assassination of numerous people of galactic importance, willing to tear her own body apart on the molecular level if need be, Darth Mori more than set in stone her permanent vulnerability to expressions of force light and light-side vergences in the force.
      • Power: Sufficiently powerful expressions of the force or weaponry will overwhelm the force-empowered regenerative process her body undergoes, and the presence of ysalamiri outright render this ability inert while in close proximity. Void stone and other objects which interfere with the ability of force users will additionally slow down and sometimes require direct, conscious, focus on the process to keep it going.
      • Synergy: The consequence of hoarding all of her power within herself and not relying on the assistance of others means that techniques such as force melds and direct empowerments can turn the tides of battle even when all hope seems lost.

PART IV: CINDERS (875 ABY - PRESENT)

Death.

She reeked of it, the stench of it following her wherever she went - men and women of power, of ambition, fell like dominoes in her wake with or without her direct intervention. Whether it was her willful disregard for her predecessor's survival on Tython, or her execution of the guildmaster of the Mandalorians, or a Jedi that peered too closely into the abyss, anyone who got too close in one manner or another found themselves dead. A steady curb on the influence of those that controlled the galaxy most, a last ditch effort to measure the worth of the galaxy's denizens in hopes that the ultimate goal might be averted at the last, but as the Alliance redoubled its efforts on a weakened Brotherhood it was made clear to her that there was no second chance - not for a people that refused to learn.

War had preceded her, in the way of Solipsis, and as the mantra of the Maw emphasized it so she would be it, and the stars', ultimate death.

Her leadership as the Dark Voice within the New Sith Order was marked by confusion - her decisions seemed erratic, impulsive even, as though the old motivations of a bygone era were absent in her. She guided the Sith, and the Maw behind them, towards what she considered a salvation; there was no eventual victory in her eyes, only a punishment for all. A galaxy without the Sith, one that would never need the Jedi to come about in the first place. Solipsis had desired a new galaxy made in his image, she desired one deprived of her own filth; seeking to draw her enemies ever inward, collapsing the might of her allies as they drew towards her, so either they could realize her dream with her when they believed that she was at her weakest - and they, their strongest.
