SPECIAL FEATURES
  • A master-crafted Sith robe that has several fibrous materials painstakingly entwined and sewn together to provide specific resistances
DESCRIPTION
Darth Excidium spent four days painstakingly weaving two separate materials of expensive and delicate threads, combining armorweave and shell spider silk into an intricate interlaced pattern that was carefully compacted on an even finer level with precise applications of the Force. By seaming the two types of fibrous materials together, on an almost molecular level, the result was a flawlessly interwoven fabric capable of providing benefits from both source materials. On the third day, Excidium began a second exact copy of the same interwoven material, going through the same process, applying the Force to bond the two fibrous materials into one fabric. The time, concentration and effort were extreme, ensuring that every inch of both pieces of newly crafted cloth were identical.

On the final day, Excidium applied the cortosis mesh, weaving it artfully to the measurements of the interwoven fabric, matching exactly to the seam edges; and when the mesh was successfully sewn into the first layer, he then carefully applied the second fabric length, surrounding the mesh within. To ensure the cortosis mesh didn't sag or shift, Excidium sewed along the expanse of the robe, crossing and patterning it, securing all of the fabric fit together perfectly.

The result was a Sith robe suitable for a Sith Lord who's dedication to creating items and relics was apparent in the result...

Strengths:
  • Blaster Resistance: The combination of armorweave and shell spider silk threads offers a particularly high blaster bolt resistance (and deflection - see below)
  • Cortosis Mesh: Having the lightsaber resistant material weaved into the fabric layers allows for lightsaber blades to short out on contact
  • Deflection: The shell spider silk thread allows for deflection of vibroblades and blaster pistol bolts
Weaknesses:
  • Material can only sustain several lightsaber strikes, from cortosis impervious blades, before failing
  • Offers little resistance to elements
  • Offers no kinetic resistance
  • Offers no solid projectile protection
