Using the history of the galaxy Mythos came across the plant named bota and went to great lengths to procure and begin cultivating it in his temple of Obredaan years ago while he ruled Atrisia. The effects of the herb were interesting however he found that although it increased his connection to the force, once the darkside of the force took control that effect wore off, so he devised a plan to crate a stem of the plant that would suit his needs. Using sith alchemy he prepared a special kind of soil drenched in blood and the foulness of sith magic. Using this soil he planted a single plant of bota and watched it grow just like all the others. The result was the first Dark Bota created in the galaxy, to none-force users it is indistinguishable but to dark side force users it is very enjoyable and almost instantly creates a boon to their abilities that lasts for hours. Mythos did not test it on light sided force users but has theories on what it could do if a jedi were to ingest it just like he ingested normal bota.
Bota is illegal in many systems, still considered a drug in some systems and being as this is indistinguishable it could also have those same problems however, bota is a very rare drug that some systems have no idea it even exists anymore. There is a market for it but the means of production to create it is very hard and it cannot be mass produced at any level. The materials to crate it are very difficult to come across, same as creating sith spawn and the like is. Assuring the quality is also very difficult given the fact that the plant does not react well to preservatives. Perhaps a massive Tier company could produce it a a substantial level but due to the massive cost and materials and manpower needed to do such a thing it is very unlikely a company not specializing in agriculture and plants would even be able to produce it any level let alone distribute it to the specific market it is intended to.

- Average Growth Cycle: From planting to the growth of the fruit, which is the bud, it can take anywhere from 6 to 9 months. More powerful and potent fruit can be attained with longer time, geo-manipulation of growth and nutrient injections.
- Viability: It is very fragile, it cannot survive much sunlight needing very little for it to survive. It needs damp, moist soil and near pure darkness light as well as cold temperatures. Most importantly in order for the taint of the darkside to affect it's buds it needs to grow in the soil near or directly in contact with a dark side force nexus.
- Description: It is a small shrub, identical to normal bota at first glance but upon further inspection the tips of the flower are white and the blades inside them are a dark shade of purple.

- Distinctions: Spring, summer and fall it will be indistinguishable from your common bad weed. During winter when it blossoms it will spark up it's petals and give off it's fruit, the buds, which are shining and purple with white tips.

Dark Boon: When consumed, preferably in the form of smoke it increases the connection to the force of dark side force wielders in the same way that normal bota does for jedi that can last anywhere from 4-8 hours. (the more you use it, the more you need it for effect to continue and last. After a year of constant use the effect might last an hour.)
Zen: The effects it does once this is taking place allow the force user to concentrate more and focus on the task at hand. Not tunnel vision but a form of zen and focus that allow the user to execute incredible feats

Weak and fragile: Cultivating it is a very difficult process requiring a lot of money invested in rare and niche equipment only found in certain parts of the galaxy. It needs maintenance year long just so it can be harvested once a year.
It needs good land: It needs a force nexus to grow, this herb will almost never grow without hands catering to it.
Addictive: It creates dependence if used often.
Bad trip: If a lightsided force user ingests this herb in any way they will be induced into a trance like state that could last for hours and it is very unpleasant.
