STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Darion is strong willed, charismatic in his own way and focused.
But he lacks in physical strength and is untrained in any areas of combat.
APPEARANCE:
Darion is an elderly male who has seen his prime a long time ago. He wears traditional red robes of his family household and the Blackstaff crest embroided on his chest. He speaks with a raspy voice and is sometimes considered a bit disoriented. But behind the facaxde rests a clear mind and a will power beyond the normal.
BIOGRAPHY:
Darion was born and raised in the upper level society of Pengal. Brought up to be a name he was early on trained and schooled to involve himself in politics. something that he has given his entire life to.
Directly after his academical studies were finished he was drafted into the officer school on Pengal and succesfuly served in the planetary defence force for a number of years. During this time he saw battle and faced the down side of war for the lone soldier. But even more, he saw the cruelty that was brought by those who cared little for the system.
His military career was however only a step in the career paved out for him as he after leaving his service went on to support his family\s political party.
At first he only managed medicre success, hampered by his mind molded during the years in the army to find swift and direct solutions.
While this was perhaps not practical means to lead a people it did however give him popularity and at the age of 32 he joined the Pengal government as one of the youngest ministers in the planets history.
Serving with an attitude that meant that what he did was what he was Darion brought up an impressive popularity as the hard working man of the people. This in turn gave him not a few local enemies who saw this young upstart as a future threat.
With time Darion learned to play the political game in a much more refined way and as his opponents wanted to get rid of him he saw an opportuinity to both take his own next step and gain the appreciation of those that were his enemies back home.
He offered to be the next candidate for the Republic senate, representing Pengal in the arena. An important position but also one that placed him far away from Pengal.
The election was a land slide victory as both the people and his political enemies saw benefits.
And so, at the age of 53 Darion Blackstaff left Pengal and travelled to Courocant where he started his career in the Galactic Republic.
There he, along with many others endured the great wars against the sith and their different faction, slowly loosing world after world to the brooding darkness.
Time had however made Darion change his perspective on things, he no longer merely sought career, but to bring a halt to the darkness that seemed unstoppable. To safe guard democracy and the republic against all odds.
Hence, as an elderly man Darion still has an agile mind and a life time of experience roaming the hall ways of the complex political arenas of the Galaxy.
While recent years has been focused on the war versus the one sith and their allies Darion has never stopped. While most senators have left, been changed or even outright killed Darion has stayed loyal to the republic foremost.
