SPECIAL FEATURES:
  • Weapon uses a three-fold damage type (e.g. powerful ion damage, kinetic, and intense thermal energy) to disable enemy ships, weapons, equipment while simultaneously offering considerable destructive power.
  • Based on Umbaran weapons technology used during the Clone Wars, these weapons can easily blow through blast doors and other heavily-resistant barriers and armor, wreaking havoc and destruction across a battlefield.
STRENGTHS:
  • Powerful enough to have been known to punch through blast doors or similar heavily-resilient barriers and armor, making them capable of destroying vehicles, fortifications, and even lightly-armor starships in most cases.
  • In addition to powerful thermal energy and kinetic damage, the weapons produce a terrifically potent ion blast, capable of knocking out heavy vehicles, weapons, and other systems temporarily, leaving them vulnerable to further damage and eventual destruction.
WEAKNESSES:
  • Though incredibly powerful, these guns are not easily able to punch through extreme armored fortifications, ships, or vehicles which have been reinforced against thermal and kinetic damage, meaning that they may have to concentrate fire on such targets for several seconds, even minutes in very extreme cases, slowing attack momentum and leaving the vehicles or ships they are on vulnerable to enemy fire.
  • Those facilities, ships, and weapons which are especially hardened against EMP/Ion-type damage may see reduced effects from the ion portion of the weapons’ strength, and in some cases where extreme-level resistance is found, may not even ‘feel’ effects after several volleys.
  • Taken collectively, the previous two weaknesses combine to ensure these weapons are not the best-suited for breaching exceptionally heavily-armored defenses such as very large military-grade capital ships, super-fortifications, or similar targets, and will require being augmented alongside heavier weapons systems/types to achieve any measure of success against them. Taking a bunker or knocking out a heavy tank is one thing, but taking out a heavily-shielded facility or ship is quite another.
DESCRIPTION:
Designed to lay down an impressive amount of damage against a fortified enemy’s position, such as a bunker or generator facility (See HERE for reference) or else to lay waste to heavy tanks, artillery emplacements, even to pound into the hulls of military-grade corvettes and frigates, the Dardanelles Cannon is a juggernaut weapon to be sure. Capable of inflicting intense thermal energy and kinetic-type damage, as well as unleashing a powerful ion effect to temporarily disable vehicles, ships, and facilities, the Dardanelles can act like a ‘tidal wave’, overwhelming enemy forces in its path. A vicious assault cannon, it has the power to rip through most conventional kinds of armor, even the reinforced armor of blast doors!
This unnervingly epic level of damage and capability however if not without limit. Anyone thinking these guns to be sufficient against say, the hull of a star destroyer or the ultra-reinforced walls of a major facility or base which has been hardened against orbital bombardment or devastating artillery barrages will discover their faith in the Dardanelles to be misplaced. The Dardanelles is not designed for this kind of onslaught and against such resistance, it will often find itself underpowered enough to make any real success against it unlikely. Instead, it is meant to be primarily used aboard heavy walkers and tanks, or on assault ships at the vanguard of an invasion fleet, where it can begin to take down enemy resistance, annihilating forward bases, artillery emplacements, defense perimeters, bunkers, heavy tanks or walkers, or, in space, to punch through an enemy’s picket lines and help drive an assault into the heart of an enemy fleet.
Taking its cue from the Separatist weapons used by Umbaran forces in the Clone Wars, the Dardanelles can – if used correctly – make a direct assault all the more powerful and turn momentum and prevalence to the side of friendly forces, driving an enemy force back. The Dardanelles is the weapon of a ‘blitz play’, capable of raining down intense damage and devastation against a foe, weakening or destroying their defenses and rapidly taking the initiative to gain position and momentum quickly and decisively.

Kinda leaning heavily towards calling damage here. Please can you soften the language accordingly.
