DESCRIPTION

Da'Razel is almost never seen outside his sanctified armor, the Reliquary Furnace, a gilded fortress of Ultrachrome and Dallorian alloy that serves as both life-sustaining sarcophagus and shrine.

Once flesh and bone, now entombed and sustained within this living machine-body, he moves as a sanctified engine of war and worship.

The Reliquary Furnace sustains the broken body within. Beneath the sanctified shell lies a network of coolant tubes, artificial veins, and bacta membranes that keep what remains of his charred form alive. The hum of reactors and respirators is constant, a choir of machinery accompanying his every breath.

When the internal heat rises beyond tolerances, the Saint exhales streams of steam, plumes, and tongues of fire that hiss forth from his rebreather, whilst any step he takes is accompanied by the searing sound of his melting footprints.

The armor's plates are darkly burnished gold, layered with heavy crimson robes, mantles, and furs embroidered with the sigils of the Church. Molten light flows through open crevices where ligaments and joints, gears and bones are crafted into one.

Chains of relics, prayer beads, and scorched talismans hang from his pauldrons and waist, clinking softly with his every motion.

Only in the depths of his meditation chamber or within a bacta tank is the Saint ever seen outside his armor and even then, only by his most devout attendants. What lies beneath the shell is a ruin of scorched flesh and grafted limbs: a body that should have perished, now bound by devotion, Sith alchemy, and a machine spirit.

Before his transformation, Da'Razel wore the vestments of the Church, layered crimson robes, hoods, and cloths that concealed his features. His former body bore the hallmarks of a Devaronian: tall, broad-shouldered, powerful. His horns, once long and curling, were deliberately sawed and filed into blunt stubs, mimicking Zabrak cranial ridges and Sith Pureblood features a ritual act to imitate divinity. His crimson skin was marked by scars and burned flesh, remnants of self-inflicted rites of faith and pyrokinetic outbursts.

Now, that mortal frame is encased in sanctified steel. His voice issues from a synth-mesh vocoder, melodic and reverent, overlaid with the static rasp of restraint.

Da'Razel is the incarnate saint and weapon, a monument of gold and agony, the Saint of Flame, reborn in gilded ruin.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Da'Razel operates in a state of near-perpetual religious trance and focused calm. His synthetic voice is low, melodic, and deliberate, rarely rising above a liturgical cadence.

However, this serene control is deceptive and fragile.

Under emotional stress or in the presence of ideological opposition, profound internal friction emerges. When triggered, Da'Razel transforms into a volatile maniac, unleashing violent pyrokinetic meltdowns that consume friend and foe alike.

These emotional extremes are regarded by the Church as part of this asset's arsenal, a volatile instrument of divine wrath. Considerable resources are dedicated to his spiritual governance, including strict containment protocols and post-battle sanctification procedures to restore his composure and prevent collateral desecration.

He speaks primarily in Ur-Kittât, the liturgical tongue of the Church, and is known to recite scripture mid-conversation. Despite his theological obsession, he is a practiced and passionate linguist, fluent in High Galactic, Imperial Basic, Bastion Standard, Huttese, and recently Atrisian, allowing him to preach the gospel of his God-Emperor among various populations across the stars.

He suffers deeply from species dysphoria, rejecting his Devaronian heritage.

This has been further amplified by his recent containment in armor after suffering horrific burns that have left him virtually unrecognisable. His self-image is defined by reverence for Sith icons, especially Zabrak warriors, Sith Purebloods, and the mythic Sith'ari ideal. His aspiration to transcend flesh and become flame incarnate was advanced after his catastrophic battle with the ancient Sith Lord Darth Carnifex, after which a life-saving treatment saw him entombed in a fortress of Ultrachrome armour equipped with a full medical suite whilst also greatly increasing his pyrokinetic power.

He honors the modern Sith as divine figures champions of the Second Great Hyperspace War and the Core Wars whose apocalyptic campaigns have elevated them to prophecy within the Dark Pantheon.

The holiest of these deities is Darth Solipsis, the God-Emperor of the Galactic Empire, the single divine figure of the Church and the supreme focus of his worship.

Lesser prophets of this caste include Darth Vinaze, XXX, and XXX.

But the pantheon of the Sith is vast a history spanning as long as measured time itself. And while he even considers some of them direct opposites of the Galactic Empire he treasures, he still prays at the altars of gods of old such as Darth Carnifex, Darth Mori, Darth Empyrean, as well as their lieges like Darth Ophidia and Darth Prazutis.

He grew up venerating battlefield legends whose names became sacred in the aftermath of the First Core Wars, such as Khamul, Tu'teggacha, and The Mongrel.

This worship extends beyond individual Sith to the greater forces they served the Final Dawn, the Mawite Avatars, and all dark manifestations that burned through the galaxy in prophecy's name.

Each is honored in daily rites, whispered prayers, and battlefield chants.

STRENGTHS

Zealot's Endurance: Da'Raze is nearly immune to doubt or fear, his will fortified by divine certainty.

Living Fire: His pyrokinetic control has evolved beyond raw combustion. His will invokes forces flames, he shapes heat as breath, pressure, and radiant fields, using temperature as a weapon or shield.

Cult Polyglot: Fluent in multiple regional dialects across fallen Imperial space, aiding infiltration, persuasion, and intelligence gathering.

Unbreakable Belief: Indoctrination stripped him of hesitation. He executes orders and doctrine with machine-like certainty, immune to temptation or doubt.

WEAKNESSES

Overconfident: Believes himself a chosen vessel, often underestimating opponents or overextending himself in battle.

Doctrinal Naivety: Shows blind trust toward figures of religious authority, making him susceptible to manipulation by those who claim divine legitimacy.

Emotional Meltdowns: Despite spiritual training, emotional spikes can trigger massive and uncontrollable outbursts.

Faithlock: His power depends on ritual order and spiritual focus. Disrupting his litanies, relics, or creed fractures his concentration and weakens his control over the flame.

HISTORY

Born in 876 ABY on Devaron, in the shadow of the Second Great Hyperspace War, Da'Razel never knew peace. His homeworld was caught between collapsing empires and rising Dark Side sects. As an infant, his family was captured and processed in a Mawite raiding campaign.

During routine scans, his latent Force potential was discovered. Separated from his kin, he was rerouted to Gehinnom, a world-ship within the Maw partially controlled by the Church of the Dark Side. There, he was broken and reforged, subjected to years of experimentation, punishment, and indoctrination.

At six years old, he incinerated a training overseer in a spontaneous burst of pyrokinetic rage. Rather than execution, this act was seen as revelation. A ranking cultist on pilgrimage claimed the child as a divine instrument and brought him to a Church sanctum on Bastion. Raised as the foster son of a Magistrate of the Church, Da'Razel was reshaped through brutal doctrine: ritual recitations, Sith theology, and martial instruction under zealots who would later serve the Dark Side Elite.

His gifts grew more uncontrollable but more powerful. By twelve, he was performing pyric rites before congregations; by fifteen, he was declared Saint Peterius, the Saint of Flame, believed to be a reincarnated martyr whose fire would one day cleanse the galaxy.

When the Final Dawn collapsed and the Sith legions fell to infighting, Da'Razel and the Church's remnants took to exile. For half a decade, they drifted aboard cloaked pilgrimage vessels, avoiding Republic and Imperial patrols, spreading whispers of prophecy through the ashes of lost empires.

Their return began with Operation Cinder. To Da'Razel, it was no Imperial stratagem, it was prophecy manifest. He preached aboard the fleets of loyalists, sanctifying bombardments as holy purges and converting officers into adherents of the Dark Church.

He resurfaced publicly during the Galactic Empire's campaign on Coruscant, where he fought amid the ruins of the Senate Rotunda. His infernal displays caught the attention of the Church hierarchy, and he was elevated to witness the consecration of Empire Day, chanting among the kyber pyres as captured and slain Jedi sabers were burned to fuel faith.

Later, while the Empire fought a brutal war in the Core Worlds, Da'Razel, alongside Vireth and Kelig Ward, was sent to Ord Lithone, leading the Church's zealots in a highly classified data heist. They successfully extracted blueprints from the depths of an old Imperial droid factory in aid of the secretive Project Stardust, the Empire's third heralding of a Death Star.

In the aftermath of the campaign through the Core, his preaching on Archais drew the attention of Darth Vinaze, who recognized his potential and brought him into the Sith's greater fold. There, Da'Razel served as both missionary and weapon, spreading the Church's reach through conquered cities.

He was later invited to the First Sith Conclave by Darth Solipsis, standing among the chosen apostles of the Core Empire as living saints. A bloodbath ensued, during which the Saint confronted a god of old, Darth Carnifex. Da'Razel reached his apex and the breaking point of his power. Locked in battle with the Dark Lord, he overextended his control, his body consumed by his own inferno. Flesh seared, lungs boiled, and armor melted around him. His defeat should have meant death. Instead, it marked ascension.

Recovered by the Church's agents, his shattered body was entombed within the Reliquary Furnace, a life-sustaining sarcophagus forged from Ultrachrome, Dallorian alloy, and Lignan-fueled reactor cores. There, the Saint of Flame was reborn: a living reliquary of gold and agony, revered by the Cult of Saud, and worshiped as both man and monument.

In the ensuing years, Da'Razel and his followers fought at the Battle of Death Star III, alongside loyal compatriots like Vireth and Deionis Laphar, defending Solipsis's ritual from the encroaching Jedi, Alliance, and Sith forces.

Now, wherever the Church's banners burn, the Saint marches at their vanguard, his every breath a sermon, his every step a hymn to holy fire.
