Dara was adopted by human parents, who raised her on Corellia. Her parents were Imperial sympathisers who believed they were ‘rescuing’ Dara from her people. The whereabouts or identity of her birth parents is unknown.

Dara’s parents were kind, but misguided. They attempted to enlist her into the Imperial Navy but she was quickly removed for her behavior. She left her parents in teenage, antifacist rebellion and wound up in various street gangs. It was during this period she became a reputable slicer, dabbling in fraud and embezzlement. Dara was betrayed by her peers and arrested. She spent her late teens and early adulthood in an Imperial facility. During a prisoner transportation, she was freed by members of the Alliance and recruited to the cause.

Dara eventually became an engineer enlisted in the Alliance Navy. She played a key part in servicing starship systems and droids. This was until a chemical spill resulted in considerable brain injury. Dara’s recovery was delayed due to an ongoing conflict that strained the medical resources of the ship she was assigned to. She survived with heavy scarring and was taken out of service to undergo various reconstructive and surgical procedures. Dara is no longer active within the Alliance and her official whereabouts is unknown. The accident has affected her speech and motor skills, making the precise manual dexterity required for her previous occupation a lot more difficult.

Medical History
Dara speaks with the assistance of a vocabulator which streamlines her natural voice to make it clearer. Her voice is a mixture of synthesised and natural tones, generally making her sound monotone. The vocabulator is an implant within her larynx. A small scar is visible on the neck from implantation.

Left hand/forearm is cybernetic, but functions poorly due to the resources that were available at the time of her injury. The neural link between her hand and brain is impaired, often causing her hand to twitch.

Dara’s lekku/headtails are heavily scarred and patches of skin are replaced with mesh grafts. The symptoms of her brain injury involve uncontrollable twitches, occasional seizures and memory issues. Her sense of balance is impaired.

Now, Dara struggles to get by and takes on low-risk jobs. She self medicates, poorly, with salvaged stims. Dara was last seen on Nar Shadda, stranded after a deal gone wrong. Dara makes a sub-standard living by slicing for hire (occasionally for her own benefit, or credits) and selling salvage.
