HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Daoba Hotel is one of the oldest hotels still extant in Coronet City on Corellia, as it was opened nearly five thousand years ago. It first came to the historical forefront when the Empire initiated a hostage crisis, which was ultimately resolved by the launch of Operation Concierge by the Republic, led by Colonel Tott. After the Republic won the greater Battle of Corellia, the owners at the time signed a deal allowing the Republic to install a dual heavy turbolaser turret on the hotel's base, in an attempt to recoup the costs of repairing the hotel that were not covered by insurance. The turret saw use thereafter in virtually every battle that took place before the Four-Hundred-Year Darkness. In the millenia following the battle, the hotel operated uninterrupted as a five-star hotel, changing owners several times over the course of those years; the most significant changes in ownership took place in both First and Second Galactic Civil Wars.

In the Plague years, the hotel was barely hanging on, and became a shadow of its former glory, and only saw growth in its occupancy rates again after Brokellia was restored and became Corellia again, but only superficially. At this point, it was used by the Ta'jar Blood Gang as a means to launder money through loans. It was bought by Varindar when, as a result, the hotel was auctioned off when the Ta'jars had the hotel seized from them.
