WEAKNESSES
 • Force Light can damage or destroy the sword.
 • Quite heavy, despite its good balance.
 • The dark side of the Force is strong around the sword, easy for both Jedi and Sith to perceive unless concealed in some special way.
 • Obviously enough, even the owner will have trouble manipulating the weapon with the Force.
DESCRIPTION
Moran modeled this nimble two-handed sword after a large, ancient example of a Tapani duelling weapon associated with the Mecrosa order of dark side assassins. Over cores of brylark wood, the grip is drahrr’jor-hair cord and the tooled scabbard is drahrr’jor leather, retaining the predator’s Force resistance. Moran carried the same property over to the metal blade and furniture by quenching them in fresh drahrr’jor blood.

The edge and point, painstakingly honed with high-grade Svolten rhyolite, refuse to roll or chip no matter how much mundane armour they shear through. The blade is slim but flat-ground, with enough rigidity to punch through light mundane armour by thrusting. The supernatural durability of alchemical metal allowed Moran to sacrifice incrementally more bulk through the distal taper (i.e. gradually thinner cross-section), which maintains strength at the forte without unnecessary mass around the foible. That’s important for maneuverability when dealing with the high density of expert alchemical alloys, which typically double or even triple any given sword’s bulk. The slim and tapered blade, in this case, allows for a reasonably agile sword despite the dense metal.

Bottom line, it hits things real good. Also it's named after the Tapani term for a male ballerina.
