Dangerous times call for the best tools (Danger/Maelion)

This one would make an HRD that looked exactly like Number Six just for Danger, but alas her writer already has an alt who looks like that! Fortunately there was still Number Three...

"Please follow me, Ms. Arceneau," Moira said politely and then led the Trade Empress along with Maelion out of the room. They passed through a few corridors, which had more minions going about their business like good cogs in a machine, before they reached a special chamber that was well-guarded by both 'common security guards', in actuality HRDs, and Legionnaire-class combat droids. After all, in times such as these quantum tunnelling villains was a thing and so it was important that your clients were protected.

Moira attached her eye to a retinal scanner and within a few moments the machine had received confirmation and granted her entrance, the heavy blast doors opening with a hiss. Inside they would find a white, very clean room that was dominated by a series of rather complex looking machinery, the most important of which was a scanning device that resembled a high-tech MRI tube into which the subject, in this case Danger, would be wheeled into. Likewise there was a device that would enable their client to pass the time by selecting a holonet channel to watch while her brain was scanned. After all, just lying inside a weird machine with nothing to do was rather boring.

For instance, Channel II would have Naboo's Next Top Model on. Millions of sentient beings across the Galaxy were waiting with baited breath for the grand finale between Arsinoe and Helena! Likewise she would be able to choose from various shows ran by the Abregado-Rae Holovision Network. Such as Cosmo Battles: The Vong Wars, Cooking Time With Iron Chief or the popular Misadventures of the Iron Knight and the Ever-Colonel Kerrigan!

"Please lay down on the bed. You'll be wheeled in and we'll begin the scan," Moira spoke, indicating the device. Was Danger's Twi'lek assistant actually with them at present? Presumably we can just assume she was and handwave any discrepancies. In any case the bed quite looked comfortable and Danger would get a nice pillow. Yes, we mean actual pillows, not some sort of thinly-veiled metaphor for a lady's frontal assets.

And low and behold, making herself all comfy on the chair that looked akin to a dentist one. At least she wasn't going to say 'aahhh'. So, while everything was set, she went about to see what was available to view.

Where did she end up at? Well, the auction house holonetwork that is!

They were so courteous! Hmm, wonder how long it would take before she would get her Wookiee HRD options...

It was a bit unfortunate that machines could not really love auctions. Oh, they obviously understood the profit that could be made by hosting them, but the concept of haggling, of bargaining and of driving the offered price up agan and again to upstage the other was alien to them. For the simple reason that to their mind a price was either logical or not.

However, Danger would be able to enjoy the auction show now, for without further ado she was wheeled into the MRI-tube-like device. As the subject was pushed inside Moira walked over to the command console to put in the necessary commands so that the scanning process could begin, with the machine quickly being powered up and working its magic. Presumably there was a second machine and so to save time Danger's assistant would likewise be scanned, unless there are objections to that.

The process involved was rather complex though the concept itself was rather simple. The machine would perform a purely physical scan that would map the entirety of Danger's body in order to ensure that her HRD clone would perfectly mimic her in appearance down to the seemingly most minor detail. Oh, and, yes, rest assured that the mechanical clone of Danger would also have her bountiful assets, for Archangel fake was the best fake credits could buy. Thereupon the machine would move on and carry out the mental scanning to map Danger's brain. This was the more intricate and complex part of the operation, for an organic mind is a delicate thing. Once this was concluded, hands had been shaken and Danger had left, the entechment-powered super computer that controlled the processing device would face the task of bringing order to the chaos of an organic mind and create a droid brain that could accurately imitate Danger's mannerisms to a point where it would be almost impossible to tell the difference, yet would still be the mind of a machine that could simulate emotion, but was ruled only by logic.

Now might have been the moment for our two mechanical villains to carry out a 'sudden' betrayal and use this chance to turn on their client, but they happened to be Lawful Evil. Abruptly turning on your client because it seemed convenient at the moment was not particularly logical. And so the brain scan would take place as detailed by Moira during the dinner conversation. The massive stream of data exerted the full power of their equipment, the machine was more than up to the task and held up to the strain. Once it was concluded Archangel would have the information it needed to manufacture a HRD version of the Trade Empress for her. Perhaps one day it would end up beating up bounty-hunters who might come gunning for her. This one thinks that the price on her head was insultingly low. The process would require approximately an hour, after which the machine would switch off, with the necessary data having been gathered, and Danger would be wheeled out of the tube.

Whilst Moira handled that side of things, Maelion handled another side. There were some things which were not determined by genetics and had to be gotten live, as it were. Accent and vocabulary were two such things. There were also details such as piercings for earrings, tattoos, scars, marks, everything which did not come from birth had to be accounted for.

To this end there was a quite hefty checklist and survey to fill out, detailing all manner of reactions and thoughts they might have. There was also a five minute speech featuring all manner of odd and complex words so the processor could get an exact feel for how Danger and her associate spoke. Accuracy was vital, so once this and the survey were complete, combined with Moira’s brain scans, they were ready to go.

“Thank you so much for your time, ladies. We have everything we need. Do you have any further questions about matters before you go?” Maelion asked, smiling as she took the surveys from the two clients.

"Excellent. A pleasure doing business with you, Ms Arceneau," Moira said warmly and so they parted amicably. Now that the processing machine had worked its magic and scanned everything that needed to be scanned and Maelion had completed her evaluation, the only thing left was to build two machines in the likeness of Danger and her assistant.

This part of the process was easily accomplished and very soon the factory had churned them out, within the time span that had been specified. No one except Danger and the directors of Archangel would know the difference. Both HRD clones would utilise the lighter polymer, so metal detectors and the like would not be alerted.

Manufacturing a Wookiee HRD was more of a challenge. Mind you, not the part about acquiring one. Presumably Danger would not want to know how Archangel got a Wookiee to volunteer to serve as a template. Suffice to say some individuals can be very grateful after being rescued from Trandoshan slavers. Especially if your rescuers are very, how shall we put it, persuasive. However, it was a formidable challenge to adjust the processing device and the super computer that directed it in order to accommodate the mind of so feral a creature as a Wookiee, whilst giving it the precise logic of a droid. On a more mundane level, the mechanical walking carpet also needed to be able to speak in the Wookiee language. Nonetheless...it was accomplished and the result was fascinating.

There was a bit of a delay due to the experiments needed and so the Wookiee HRD was delivered two weeks after the HRD clones, but then Danger could call herself the proud owner of a couple killer robots. So everything ended shiny and happy. Danger got HRDs and in the future there would even be HRD Companions at a discount price for her, Archangel got the assistance of ATC in promoting its products and lots of credits to make...even more death machines. Capitalism was truly fun!
