  • Force Imbued: The blades are imbued with a small amount of telekinesis, not enough to levitate boulders or x-wings, just enough to levitate small objects or unleash a wave of telekinetic energy. As long as the cane is held in your grasp, the blade can be manipulated and moved within a 1m distance.
  • Fancy: Stained wood and polished metal, the cane wouldn’t look out of place at a high society event.

  • When a sword isn’t a sword: The blade is wrapped in a cushion of telekinetic energy, no matter how sharp it looks, no matter how hard you try, no blow from this blade will be more than a gentle tap.
  • Force Null: Stepping into the presence of a Ysalamir or a Voidstone nullifies the effect of the force imbuement leaving the fan as well, nothing more than a sharp sword.

The inhabitants of Diavolin loved to play tricks, loved pranks and humour, it was one of their fondest past time, to see what they could get away with. Imagine their joy when they found those in the outside galaxy who shared their affinity for creating one thing that was actually another.
Take the simple cane.
A tool to walk, to rest and to beat idle layabouts with and the inhabitants of Diavolin loved watching that. Then they found out about the sabercane, a sword hidden within a cane? What wasn’t to love about that? What looked like an innocent cane was actually a deadly weapon. The sabercane became a popular icon amongst the tricksters, and when it came time to develop their party gifts, what better to add to the list.
Only...they couldn’t let it go without a trick of their own now could they? The blades were wonderful and tricksy but...so ordinary. So they added a little force magic of their own, imbuing the blades with a touch of telekinesis. It certainly isn’t enough to perform any of the wonderful tricks that a Jedi or Sith are well known for, however, levitating small objects nearby, or unleashing a weak wave of telekinesis is not unheard of. However...there was a final trick the Diavolin trickster’s played. The blade itself was wrapped in a shroud of telekinetic energy. While the blade might catch the light, the edge sparkling and sharp, it would never reach you. Any strick by the blade would be cushioned, ending up as little more than a tap from a soft pillow.
After all, the galaxy was a scary place and they wouldn’t want their guests to hurt one another.
