STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Damos is at his core a strategist; Having learnt the craft of patience and tactical acumen during his younger years as an agent of the Bothan Spynet through its active service to several of the galactic players. This has led him into further expansion as he integrated into the High Republic military as a security advisor, where he was actively called upon for assessment and opinions.
A well respected leader and member of the security council, his past does make him come across as brash and almost constantly angry or over cautious. However he is at his heart a servant of the Republic and will ensure it’s continued survival.
APPEARANCE:
Standing at a little over six foot Damos is overly tall for a Bothan. His aging body however shows the history of an athletic build with broad shoulders and strong arms. His dark hair is matched with sharp hazel eyes that carry the accusing weight of a Bothan who can tell if your lying. His features are harsh, littered in evidence of times at war, a scar here, a cut there; each tells a different story of a galaxy that has not and will never be devoid of war. He is usually seen in the military garb of the Security Council, worn as a proud symbol of his rank and a reminder to himself of the responsibility he holds.
BIOGRAPHY:
Damos Rennar was born to a minor intelligence-linked family on Bothawui, educated with a focus on xenopolitical strategy. Recruited by Naboo's early intelligence branch as an interstellar analyst, he rose through the ranks during the formation of the Royal Intelligence Bureau. Known for engineering the exposure of multiple Sith-aligned insurgencies and defusing a dozen potential sector wars, his record of quiet wins eventually earned him the directorship of the newly-formed Republic Intelligence Service following the Republic's reorganization.
After overseeing the largest coordinated intelligence web the High Republic has ever fielded, he was elected by the security council to take on the mantle of Chancellor in an attempt to put one of their own on the Senate chair, yet upon receiving no votes the decision was made for Damos to receive a more public and respected role, one he quietly took; now he sits as the Chair of Defence and Intelligence Security. A single Bothan who has the command of the entire High Republic Military, army and navy as well as his oversee of the Intelligence branch and connections to the infamous Bothan spynet could be seen as un-necessary overreach, yet Damos knows as much as anyone that times are changing and peace may no longer be possible…
