• Intent: To provide Dagobah with hostile inhabitants in which the Rimworld Trade League will have to deal with once they land.

• Role: The Cult of Dagobah are one of many dark side worshippers who are "blessed" with the power provided by the Dark Side Cave. They worship the cave while they patrol the swamps of Dagobah killing outsiders or kidnapping them to have Dark Side Cave convert them by corrupting their minds through the darkside cave.

GENERAL INFORMATION

• Unit Name: Cultists
• Affiliation: Dark Side Cave
• Classification: Ragtag group of dark side infected people
• Description: Once the survivors of a freighter that crash-landed on Dagobah, the cultists of Dagobah are now twisted and ravaging beasts, slaves to the Dark Side Cave's influence. The cultists are now grotesquely scarred individuals with diminished cognitive abilities. They possess supernatural strength, speed, and endurance and can even perform basic force pushes. The cultists use whatever weapon they can get their hands on and rely on guerilla tactics to ambush take down their targets.

• Equipment: Blaster Rifles, Shotguns, Vibro-ax, Grenades
• Combat Function: The cultist like to use guerilla tactics such as ambushes, setting up traps, minefields, and other deadly traps. In a straight up fight, the cultist prefers to go in a standard formation. The larger cultists or the one wielding a melee weapon will charge at the enemy absorbing as much hits as possible while the others will circle around and take potshots.

Strengths:

• I don't need brains, I got family!: The cultists are a tight knit group and will stand up for each other even in the face of danger.
• WHY WON'T YOU DIIIIEEEE!: Empowered by the Dark Side of the Force, the cult of Dagobah are very durable. It'll take many shots to take one down.
• The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities: Whatever the Dark Side Cave did to the cultists, it had infected them with mutations that increase their strength, durability and even grants them a small degree of Force Ability.

Weaknesses:

• Me fail English? That's unpossible!: The transformation of the cultists came at a cost to their intelligence. Reasoning with them is tough and they rely on beast level instincts to survive.
• We don't got much people!: The cultists rely on the Dark Side Cave crash landing ships, freighters, and even starships so they can replenish their numbers through sacrificing them to the Dark Side Cave. As such, the numbers of the cult members are limited.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION

Around 424 ABY, a large freighter carrying Lothal refugees from the Yuuzhan Vong war found that they were billions of miles off course from their destination. After a few jumps, they end up in Dagobah's orbit where the crew had an engine malfunction and made an emergency landing onto the planet's surface. While constructing the beacon, the survivors were drawn to the whispers of the Dark Side Cave promising them freedom and salvation. Many went inside the cave enthralled by the Dark Side and each came out looking different, stronger, more feral but otherwise grown attached to the planet. The survivors who resisted, either were killed or were forced into the Dark Side Cave. The unofficially named: Cult of Dagobah roams the planet feeding off the energies emanating from the Dark Side Cave. They await for the cave to bring down more ships in which they will capture and convert survivors to replenish their numbers and worship the Dark Side Cave for opening their minds.
