Zagara smiled, opting not to say another word and simply raising the Baragwin in a high defensive stance, with the blade pointed upward and close to her chest. Thought I was done with ethereals, she thought to herself quietly as she closed her eyes quickly, instantly recalling to the conscious mind everything she had studied about Teras Kasi, the ancient Palawa Martial Art that peoples of old specifically crafted for dealing with this sort of thing. As far as she was concerned, the Force was beneath her - at least in terms of if she should consider it. Those days were over.
"Recall that the mind is a concept, ad'ika. It is not real, but only exists when deduced as the sum of all the senses, the volition and the spirit. No more. Mind is nothing, nowhere, and if these emotions, dispositions and tendencies exist only in the mind, then they cannot exist either."
The interesting thing about Teras Kasi was its precious gift of teaching even an individual not trained in the Jedi arts, the art of shutting one's mind down to external mental attacks. Besides teaching how to anticipate physical ones with impressive accuracy and forecasting, this was precious, for it leveled the playing field for anybody with an insufficient Midichlorian count, or did not have access to proper Force training. A few seconds, and it was there - instant serenity, and a void where the conscious ego once was. Things do not change, she thought again as she know opened her eyes, smirking at the Meran mechanic and chuckling a bit before giving a long, drawn-out exhalation of the breath.
"I will", she answered in reply, stepping forward and maintaining about ten pace's distance between her and her 'Alor. "I am a Mandalorian, Alor' Damien Daemon", she continued with a stoic smile. "I swore to serve you, the Mandalore, the clans and our people. Big words and Force wizardry are nothing in relation to me. I will fight you with the strength and guile of the mythosaur and the basilisk. No more, but certainly no less."
