Daemon Recruits

Damien stood still, arms folded, statue still amongst the trees of Kashyyk. There was no hidden meaning to his meeting two new recruits to his Clan, no connection to recent problems to be had. Rather it simply was a place to meet. There were places to train, beings to converse with if they wished to learn their techniques. Whatever the need could be, he felt this would be agood way to reach them.

As it was, he had already sent a request to them to meet him there. He would have their fealty to his people before moving on.

Make a good impression make a good impression Make a good impression make a good impression. Don't screw this up.
Kalis has already been booted from the station for... well she ruined a contract by being topless in front of a client.
this was an opportunity for a new start.
Shr approached [member="Damien Daemon"] slipped tripping over her baggy trousers pulling them down and exposing her underpants to her new boss.

Damien arched a brow at the woman, chuckling when she fell, pants now around her ankles. Averting his eyes upward, he cracked, "I have a wife, so no sweat. If I didn't though, that might be a fun sight." A hand sent the Force underneath her, lifting her to her feet, "But, as it is, you'd better make sure my wife doesn't find out that I saw your ass. She is... well, dangerous."

Next he looked at the lithe girl, chuckling again, "You're very small for a Manda aren't you?"

[member="Kalis Affassa"]

" Im Kalis not Mandy. umm im im not soo.." a hydrospaner fell from her hand " umm oops let me ge.. " she fumbled standing up and nudging [member="Damien Daemon"] " sorry im.. i prefer to be in a garage to you know out here. umm i have a few plans for future projects. Powerarmor walkers a few tanks droids and a 1000 meter tank. i call it STEVE."

"Manda, not Mandy. As in Mandalorian? Are you Manda? I was under the impression." Damien said, but once more looked upward as she bent over, considering she had not yet pulled her pants up, "Anyway, I am willing to accept you into my Clan, to give you all the access to materials you could need to build whatever you want. Should you swear loyalty to me, to join my Clan, obey its laws, and better the Mandalorian people."

[member="Kalis Affassa"]

" Oh yeah im Mandalorian i just yeah i grew up in Meran we tend to drift to larger clans. i sort of developed a mechanical skill. not that i'm making a good first impression i was hoping to join your clan. it is the balor one isn't it. " oh god she was screwing up she new it. give her some thing to do and she was a genius make her interact socially and well she was a clown.
" But yeah i swe.. oh my trousers are down... yeah i swear," she said adjusting her trousers.

The walkways of Kashyyk were an interesting sight for sure - long, wooden highways that scurried about from great tree to great tree as they connected the mighty Wookie settlements that defied this planet's harsh jungles. Only fifteen minutes after docking the Mynock at the nearby spaceport however, and Zagara was already beginning to question - surely it was no surprise that a Mandalorian would ask to be met on a planet in the middle of nowhere, but that did little to take the sting out of how vexing a task it remained.

With little more than rags for clothing and a Baragwin assault blade to her name, she finally made out two figures - a proud male, standing tale and seemed to radiate with the very energies she had sought to suppress in herself, but could not deny that she had to understand if she were to ever stand a chance against it, and another female, perhaps another one like here - who dreamed of a life sworn to honor, filial piety and the glorious horror of battle.

Already sweating bullets with her fabric clothing drenched in moisture, she finally stood before [member="Damien Daemon"] as she rested her blade on the wooden flooring.

"I don't suppose you could have picked a better place?", she joked in between pants as she wiped the sweat from her hairless forehead with her arm.

Damien perked an eye toward the newcomer, "No." He said simply to her question. Turning in place, he eyed her, taking in her posture, attitude even. There was a decent fire within, one he could allow to blaze for the betterment of the Manda, "I brought you here in case of one thing: should you both swear fealty to my Clan. Upon this course of action, you both will begin training. Here seems as good a place as any.

"Now, for a true, honorable, commitment. Kneel, and swear upon the very blood in your veins; you will honor my name, attempt to bring it and the Clan representing it grace and good times. You will fight to protect her people, and those of her fellow clans. You will never prey upon weak nor innocent, but obey every command given by myself and the Manda'lor."

Zagara said no more as she simply nodded and listened to what the clan's leader had to say. She was defiant, brash, but she knew when to give respect - especially where it was due. A Mandalore clan was as hard as they came - even the Jedi or the Sith at times struggled with the brutal training regime these warriors were subjected to day and night throughout their lives. Can't complain, she thought to herself, it's this kind of thing that breeds people who win, and live another day to defend what they cherish.

While keeping one hand on the hilt of her BAB, she knelt on one knee without saying another word, looking down at the ground but taking care not to look sheepish or that she was passively submitting - no, that wasn't the Mandalore way. She kept her shoulders flared, even as her skin glistened with sweat, and little beads dropped from her face and headtails to the floor. She had to prove she was tough if she wanted to belong - to this Clan, or any Clan. It was her one chance at finding, let alone discovering the real meaning of kith, and what it meant to fight for it. She'd studied the language, learned the culture, even met a few Mandalorians over games of Pazaak or betting at duel rings in the outer rim worlds, but this was different.

"I swear on the very blood in my veins to honor your name, [member="Damien Daemon"], and to always attempt to bring it and the Clan representing it grace and good times. I will fight to protect her people, and those of her fellow Clans. I will never prey upon the weak or the innocent, buy obey every command given by you and the Manda'lor."

She then looked up at him with a steely stoicism, saying nothing, but listening intently for what was to come next.

Kalis looked over at [member="Sonorous Daemon"] " Suck up. " Was all She joked. sniggering she looked at [member="Damien Daemon"] "ok are we in or do you want to make us kiss a Womp rat while wearing one of those big hats Duros tend to wear? Cause i actually own one of those." she asked anxious to get in to a garage and out of the clamminess.

Zagara (Sonorous) looked up and to the side at [member="Kalis Affassa"], smiling smugly as if she knew something the mechanic didn't. "It's not sucking up, Sienn (Twi'lek language)", she said with a wink. "But the Mandalorians take any casual or familial behavior to sacred vows or oaths as the deepest of slights against them."

She reckoned she wasn't wrong - in her dealings with individual Mandalorians in the past, she often found that your word, your honor, was priceless compared to any currency you had - any banthabreath nerfherder could earn a living, but only the brave and the honorable even qualified as Mandalorians.

" I know that but the Meran's have been providing Mechanical wore to other clans for Decades.having a Meran join a clan is like adding a notch to your belt at Lifeday. its a common thing. you joining is significant. me on the other hand? its like asking the guy unplugging the refresher to swear a blood oath. i fix Swoops and make Bantha pens. i'm armed with a Servo wrench. " Still [member="Damien Daemon"] putting on a show made her feel special for the first time in her life.
The girl was right about the honor part though but honestly. that was more a bloke in Beska thing than.

"Are the Meran always this casual with the other Clans?", Zagara then asked, amused and admittedly curious.

[member="Kalis Affassa"] [member="Sonorous Daemon"] ((Btw, no I'm not mad lol, but this is honestly how this would be reacted))

Damien turned his gaze to the clutz, "Its an honor for me to greet you? The Daemon clan is over 5 millennia old, I have been Alor for two thousand years. By no means is it simply because of you, or your past Clan, that you are accepted. I was advised by a friend to take you on. I could just as easily have ignored you. Yeah, you all have some classes in engineering." Damien said, then he tapped into the power of Bound Spirit of the God King, Master Zaiden James-Greyson, alongside the two dozen other spirits. His eyes began to glow lavender as the very air became static filled, the air swirling harder and harder, until they felt like they were inside a hurricane; he took a single step forward, "Daemon's are known as Killers. Kyr'am Vod. Death's Soldiers."

He released the hold he had on the massed energy, letting the area die back down to a gentle breeze, "Remember, respect. It is of the resol'nare. Yes, I want a true fealty oath. Simply saying I swear is nothing. You must truly mean it, to get it."

"Zagara, behind tree is a weapons stash. Grab whatever you feel best suits you, this will be your set. I will train you in it to the best of my knowledge - which is extensive." Damien said, eyes never leaving the other, "I recommend that path. Learn something greatly, then move on."

Zagara went through the extensive weapons cache as instructed, but found that making up her mind as which weapon to use, particularly in the face of so many choices, was harder than expected. Blasters, rifles and ranged weapons were straightforward, and you had to be a complete nerfherder not to grasp how grenades and detonators worked.

Melee weaponry it is then, she thought, as it seemed to be the trickiest of all weapon classes to master. Part art and part science, there were fewer, more gallant ways to prove yourself in combat. Ranged weapons were simple - point the end with the hole and shoot, and a decent hunting background already gave her a personalized idea of how to operate high-power blaster rifles. Sure, melee weapons were all about hitting the other bantha breath with the pointy end, but there were an infinite shades of grey between that and wielding a vibro - you yourself getting skewered being in there as well.

Ah, and there it was.

Her simple scoundrel's jacket, trousers and utility boots almost insulted a weapon so grand - almost mythical back on her homeworld of Ryloth. It was dirty, but so long as you weren't causing too much collateral damage in the grand scheme of things, it couldn't have been too bad. A Baragwin Assault Blade, Zagara thought to herself as she picked up the heavy, somewhat cumbersome weapon with both her hands and got a good look at it. Essentially a vibro, but better - it allowed for post-production upgrades and hacks, and the capacitators on it, along with the power cell, could release a burst of energy upon contact.

Imagine that. Just when your day couldn't get any worse - your opponent's Vibro can blow up in your face, burn your skin off and leave you looking like a Rancor.

suppressing an eye roll of what she viewed as an out dated macho posturing culture.
" I swear fealty to Clan Deamon and renounce any past allegiances my weapon is the clans my armor the clans my skill the clans. any weapon i make will be in your honor [member="Damien Daemon"] ." She swore honestly wishing to get this over she hatted people they made her uneasy. but with the shoe of power she wanted to do tests. but her mouth was still working.

Damien nodded, "Good. Now, though you will be a mechanic, you will also need to be able to defend yourself, so your training begins as well - pick a weapon." As he spoke Damien held out a hand, and seemingly growing from a small dot on his hand, grew a massive broadsword emanating darkness. Tantibus. His Masterwork weapon. Luckily it's sheath was in place, so he could explain what would happen.

"This is Ak'hanz'a Tur'ohna, the Sword of the Night, or Tantibus as I call it. I warn you now, this behemoth has an imbued fear. When i unsheath it, the aura of an ever increasing fear will begin. It's bested Masters, and at one point covered a range of several miles. You cannot outrun it, and most can't fight it. Those that can, luckily don't die from heart aches, but it does still make them wary.

"I will use this, oonly this." Damien said, swinging the large blade around, the Force increasing his strength so he could wield it in a single hand, "Who will attack me first?"

it was in dead a mighty sword.
Kalis drew a spanner. " I call this a spanner ii's used for spannering. she said"
she calm ly walked up to Damien and bagan masking Ewok noises and waving her arms in a mock Martial arts style.
she then kicked him in the groin.

Zagara smiled, opting not to say another word and simply raising the Baragwin in a high defensive stance, with the blade pointed upward and close to her chest. Thought I was done with ethereals, she thought to herself quietly as she closed her eyes quickly, instantly recalling to the conscious mind everything she had studied about Teras Kasi, the ancient Palawa Martial Art that peoples of old specifically crafted for dealing with this sort of thing. As far as she was concerned, the Force was beneath her - at least in terms of if she should consider it. Those days were over.

"Recall that the mind is a concept, ad'ika. It is not real, but only exists when deduced as the sum of all the senses, the volition and the spirit. No more. Mind is nothing, nowhere, and if these emotions, dispositions and tendencies exist only in the mind, then they cannot exist either."

The interesting thing about Teras Kasi was its precious gift of teaching even an individual not trained in the Jedi arts, the art of shutting one's mind down to external mental attacks. Besides teaching how to anticipate physical ones with impressive accuracy and forecasting, this was precious, for it leveled the playing field for anybody with an insufficient Midichlorian count, or did not have access to proper Force training. A few seconds, and it was there - instant serenity, and a void where the conscious ego once was. Things do not change, she thought again as she know opened her eyes, smirking at the Meran mechanic and chuckling a bit before giving a long, drawn-out exhalation of the breath.

"I will", she answered in reply, stepping forward and maintaining about ten pace's distance between her and her 'Alor. "I am a Mandalorian, Alor' Damien Daemon", she continued with a stoic smile. "I swore to serve you, the Mandalore, the clans and our people. Big words and Force wizardry are nothing in relation to me. I will fight you with the strength and guile of the mythosaur and the basilisk. No more, but certainly no less."
