Description:
The concept of D1-Detonation Cord is actually incredibly simple. It was created as a manual way of setting off multiple explosives instantly while also creating a precision explosive that could be used in a jam.

D1-Detonation cored can be however long is desired, usually purchased in length of 20m coming with 20-30 detonators. The Detonators are simply plugs that fit into one end of a cut piece of the cord and can then be triggered by nearly any communication device as long as the proper frequency is given. It is suggested that the frequency be kept secret for each detonator.

D1's primary use is in mining and military operations. During mining D1 is used to take the place of wireless detonators where timers are simply not an option. The explosives are buried deep underground and joined together by a massive length of D1 cord. When the D1 cord is set off, all explosives attached to it simultaneously explode due to the instantaneous nature that D1 explodes in.

For Military use D1 is mostly the same, albeit the explosives are often used on bunkers or the like. However, the Military has also found an alternate use for D1 primarily thought of by some clever Sith Troopers. When coiled around itself two or three times and then covered in regular military issue tape and placed onto a wall D1 makes an effective breaching charge for less durable materials. An example of a breakable material would be thin(less than 1'') Durasteel plates, Duracrete walls, wooden doors, and things of that nature. D1 Cord has also been used to thoroughly destroy computer's and other things of that nature.

Curiously, some more evil minded folk have taken to using D1-Cord as restraints on prisoners, Though that is hardly the extent of what D1-Detonation cord COULD be used for.
