Prior to the Gulag Plague, Czerka Arms gathered renown across the Galaxy for its production of the HK-series Droid. These innovative units combined the military-grade processing power of a combat droid with the social and cultural interface of a protocol droid. This union resulted in an assassin droid capable of masquerading as a mere protocol droid! With this rich history of innovation as a standard, the modern day Czerka Arms pooled its resources in order to produce a droid brain that could triumph over its former achievements whilst competing on the militant, Galactic market. Thus began the production of the CZ-HKD Droid Brain: one of the most advanced droid brains in the Galaxy!
The opening chapter in the construction of the CZ-HKD Droid Brain began with the replication and mass production of a rare and powerful resource: the Gabonna Memory Crystal. Famed for its exceptional processing speed (due to its unique, crystalline structure) and the unparalleled sum of information it can store, the Gabonna Memory Crystal was the only choice acceptable enough to make a droid brain that could stand above the rest. With this advanced memory device driving the brain, any droid built with a CZ-HKD Droid Brain would enjoy the benefit of processing information at lightning-fast speeds, in addition to have the memory banks to handle a wide variety of upgrade modules.
With the aforementioned processing speed and memory banks afforded through the Gabonna Memory Crystal, Czerka Arms was then able to install a selection of modules to effectively "flesh out" its operations. To begin, an advanced droid interface was installed, thereby providing the CZ-HKD Droid Brain with the means to effectively bypass computers or other security systems at a level which matches that of espionage droids found in the pages of history. What's more, the CZ-HKD Droid Brain is fitted with a Warfare-grade Central Processor, which affords an equipped droid with an alternative to traditional training. This is due to the processor's ability to allow the droid to learn an an exceptionally swift rate; thereby creating especially talented droids in whatever fields they are placed in.
These keynote components aside, the CZ-HKD Droid Brain is equipped with a suit of standard equipment found in practically all droid brains. These consist of a motivation actuator which controls the droid's movements, a cognitive theory unit which houses the "personality" of the droid, and a protocol chip which houses the social/cultural information to allow effective interactions with organics. Lastly, the whole of the droid brain is housed in a duraplast shell lined with an agrinium mesh; thereby providing protection against the elements and the basic threats of a battlefield. As a whole, the CZ-HKD Droid Brain is an exceptional piece of technology, poised to effectively compete on the droid market.
