Originally designed as a means of keeping records of important information, Mariya discovered the blueprints for a cybernetic implant that could provide more than just an organizational benefit, one that would allow an individual to relive precious moments of their life, or to understand how they could have better handled a situation, or perhaps read more into a moment in time where subtleties may have been lost. Regardless of the intended use, each cybernetic must be surgically implanted in the wearer for safe use. Attempting to remove a CMS without proper medical training and a clean room could result in life threatening injuries including coma, brain damage, or death. While each cybernetic is rated to withstand moderate EMP in the event of catastrophe, there is high likelihood that the implant will be compromised if exposed during playback of a memory. Each implant is unique to its wearer, and has no means of hacking without the complete removal of the chip embedded within an individual's skin, just behind the ear.
