  • Drastic Increase in Strength: The cybernetics allow the recipient to crush permacrete with their hands, smash through walls, jump higher, and move faster. Limitations are evident, but they are still drastic increases (Ability to Bench roughly 500 kilograms, run 35 km/h, and jump 2 meters)

Masters are able to overcome this with significant training in this area of expertise. It should be noted it provides no defense against attacks from the Force
Description:
The intricate system is connected to the muscles throughout the body via a synth-net neural interface mesh, allowing the brain to control the cybernetics and to continue to have sensation within affected areas. The synth-net is far more expansive than normal cybernetics, extending through the majority of the body. This increases the amount of neural nodes within muscles allowing them to operate more efficiently, increases the number of neuronal signals sent per second on one motoneuron. The system is designed to increase this amount by 50%, allowing for faster muscle contraction, more force to be output, and more advanced neural synchronization. Coupled with cybernetic enhancements on joints to assist muscles, spinal and skeletal reinforcement to increase the user’s maximum load, it increases the user’s physical capabilities in almost every field, except flexibility. Although the system draws most of its energy from the body’s natural bio-electrical system, in order to maximize the increase in physical potential the system must also be powered. This is accomplished with a dual power-cell located around the shoulder are on the spinal implant that can be replaced easily. Its backup power on programs are protected and shielded from electrical overload, EMP, and Ion weaponry, ensuring that the emergency power on sequence functions properly. This process will take a few moments and even once power is restored the power-cells will be depleted or unusable. Similar to the Cardio-Muscular enhancements of old this system similarly enhances the heart, lungs, and diaphragm to work harder with less effort, assisting the muscles allowing the recipient to continue maximum output for longer periods. Other than the exposed spinal reinforcement, the system is located beneath the skin, though many of the nodes and servos can be felt upon close inspection.

An exterior spinal reinforcement is the central focal point of the system, and damage to this can cause the system to lose power or cause severe muscle spasms. The reinforcement takes pressure of the spine, allowing the user to bench press up to 500 kilograms. This is also the conduit of the synth-net neural mesh, increasing the user’s muscle’s abilities to this maximum. The skeletal reinforcement allows the bones to survive under the increased weight and muscle strength, and provide resistance to bone fractures. Joints are reinforced and assisted by cybernetic to protect them, particularly the wrists and knuckles, allowing for punches to be thrown with additional force. Without the additional Power-cells the capabilities of the strength enhancement are roughly halved.

The cybernetic enhancements increase reaction speed of muscles significantly, allowing punches to be thrown at approximately 12 meters per second, extraordinarily fast, but not necessarily inhuman. The speed and strength behind said punch could smash through permacrete and splinter bones, making unarmed combat with the user extremely dangerous.

Finally the cybernetics similarly increase the muscles and joints of the legs, allowing someone with this enhancement to run at incredible speeds, roughly 35 kilometers an hour, matching most unaltered human athletes. This also increases their ability to leap and jump, both vertically and horizontally.

The system is vulnerable to electrical overload, causing the system to shut-down or cause muscles to spasm, due to being made from metal. This increased conductivity lessens the ability to resist electrical damage of the body, as the system is spread throughout the body. The spinal column features capacitors and electrical resistors near the base of the skull to protect the brain and backup system from being overloaded, but this only keeps the brain from being more easily fried, not reducing the damage it would take normally. Furthermore, due to the increase of cybernetic systems in the body, test subjects have shown a lessened ability to use the force to increase their physical attributes. It is believed that Masters of this type of Ability may be able to overcome the limitation but it seems unlikely they would need this as they are capable of truly inhuman actions. A problem with the cardio systems is that prolonged over use can be known to cause minor brain trauma as the increased heart rate and blood pressure can cause minor bleeds in the brain. These will not cause death, but can cause migraines, headaches, and bouts dizziness.

Like all cybernetics, they can have minor psychological effects on the recipient, like dependence, loss of identity, or even forms of psychosis. The exposed components were limited to reduce this, but as with most ailments, it varies from person to person.
