Ran Serys Ran Serys
A carnival seemed a little too juvenile and loud for a first date, at least for Solaria's tastes. Instead, she had requested that Ran join her for a quiet afternoon touring the Dubrillion Aquarium on the planet Dubrillion. Afterward, they would attend an early dinner at a nearby venue, offering them a pleasant note to end the venture on.

Solaria dressed modestly for the evening in black pants and a soft white blouse with frills. She had styled her long hair up and back into a high ponytail, keeping it a fair bit shorter than its true length. She wore minimal makeup, mainly having focused on moisturizing her skin and adding a few nice details to draw attention to her eyes.

She waited out front, having already purchased entry tickets for them both. Finding partners through an application was an odd sort of thing for her, and after spending some time sifting through it, she had decided it was best left for those looking for quick get-togethers rather than long-term or serious partnerships.

An exciting afternoon of plans was laid out before Ran Serys and she couldn’t help but smile. There was an aquarium, an early dinner, and a beautiful woman, actually two beautiful women if she counted herself, which she often did when it came to a crowd. Ran also thought she’d cheekily slip in a walk through the park between venues as there was one on the way from aquarium to restaurant. Her outfit was also too good to be wasted on the inside of a speeder, as for the date she had forgone her usual Jedi garb for a pair of black high heels, a long and flowy white linen skirt, and a black backless cami, in addition to a plethora of gold accessories that dotted her fingers, wrist, neck, and ears, and a black pocketbook large enough to fit her lightsaber and almost nothing else. Ran also slicked her hair down and back for a chiquer look than she usually went for.

It had been some time since she’d had a date, even more so with someone she had actually been attracted to. So when she matched and messaged with a one Solaria, she had been grateful for the temporary lapse in judgement she made when she decided to once again look for love on the HoloNet. And Ran became grateful again as she ascended the front steps of the aquarium and saw Solaria in the flesh. She was everything her profile had advertised and more. There was an elegance and a confidence in the way she stood. Ran smiled at the woman who had been waiting for her even though they had both been on time.

“Hello Solaria,” Ran said in a marginally softer voice than she usually used as she approached her date with a small wave.

“Thank you for purchasing the tickets. I’ve really been looking forward to this outing.” Ran’s smile barely faded from her face. “I hope you haven't been waiting long for me?”

Solaria smiled seeing how finely dressed Ran Serys Ran Serys was, appearing quite pleased with her choice of attire for the days events.

"Greetings, Miss Ran. Your ensemble looks beautifully curated for today's adgenda," she offered softly. "You are quite welcome. I appreciate you indulging me with a quieter venue; It was the least I could do after requesting a change of location. Thank you for obliging me."

She glanced briefly toward the entrance before returning her cerulean blue gaze and all her attention back to Ran.

"No, I haven't been here long... It did take my chauffeur a little time to locate the aquarium. Sable isn't accustomed to technology this far from home, but we left with plenty of time to ensure we arrived punctually."

With one smooth, sweeping motion, she gestured toward the entrance with a manicured hand.

"Shall we then~?"

Solaria stepped forward, the thick heels of her boots sounding softly against the polished stones below. Her pace held a languid ease, inviting Ran to join her for a leisurely stroll rather than hasten after her, perhaps keenly aware of the woes that some heels might present. At the threshold, she presented their tickets to the attendance droid and waited for the scanner to wash across them with red light, before proceeding beyond the gates.

The name of the Dubrillion Grand Aquarium was displayed in an arched above the interior concourse in lustrous golden colored lettering, it's image reflected across a dark polished floor to resemble still water.

Beyond it, the building opened into a vast central gallery enclosed by curving panes of reinforced glassteel. Deep blue lighting poured through the surrounding tanks, casting shifting patterns over the floors. Schools of bright, shimmering fish passed overhead through a suspended tunnel, their scales catching the light like glittering coins beneath the sea.

Farther within, immense shadowed shapes moved through the larger deeper exhibits with a slow sort of unhurried grace. Beds of violet and red corals rose from beautifully sculpted rock walls, while delicate fronds swayed beneath controlled currents. The muted hush of circulating waters, lent the aquarium a sense of reverence.

Solaria slowed near the entrance to take it all in, her gaze lifting toward the creatures gliding above them and shifting across the venue at large.

"This seems far more agreeable," she murmured. "I was uncertain whether an aquarium might seem too subdued for a first meeting. Though now that we are here, I think we chose rather well. Have you visited any aquariums before?"
