BIOGRAPHY:
Cul Laaster was born into a wealthy dynasty, his family boasting control of a corner of the spice sector on Oba Diah. Though, where the Pyke Syndicate flourished in spice overall, that corner was considered modest by most. Nonetheless, to an outsider's eyes, the Laasters held power, and such power did not derive solely from their money.
Growing up with the notion drilled into him that he was born for better and the best, Cul grabbed the bull by its horns and helped his mother and father in steering the family business forward. The Syndicate largely operated on individuals, each one banding together to see that the group as a whole prospered and had their peace undisturbed as much as possible.
Some contingents upheld these ideals by serving as enforcers, for no Pyke was afraid to fight, but the Laasters did so by serving as bankers until their fall from power. Cul Laaster controls the family's interests now.
PERSONALITY:
Cul is a shrewd businessman and politician both, having found no reason to separate the two. Born and raised on Oba Diah, a world where no Pyke is unfamiliar as to its government being amalgamated with its economy, Cul wasted no time in climbing the ladder both within his family's organization and the Pyke Syndicate overall.
Cul is calculating, intelligent and ruthless. He has dedicated what remains of his life to restoring his family, the Laasters, to their rightful place. He will see that the Pyke Syndicate reaches the stars to do this.
