Crystal Hunting ( PM to join )

A planet near Byss

The tall and rather intimidating form of Rexus stands outside of an equally if not more frightening cave entrance. Clipped to his belt is the saber he was given at the academy. After today, He would be so much more closer to fashioning a blade of his own make. For now, the one he had would have to do. Rexus had not come to the planet alone and was recently separated from his ally, A Kaleesh he had met on Glee Anselm. Irritated, Rexus steps into the cave in order to get a better look whilst taking care not to go very far in. He had to ensure his ally knew this was the place and furthermore, Rexus was expecting nothing less than to have to fight for his prize.

Rexus notes some architecture and also some rather inert crystals nearby. He had heard that the natural crystal he sought were attuned to the force and that was what made them effective. He wasn't the greatest nor most well trained of the Sith but he could tell those were definitely not his quarry. Additionally, the occasional yelp and howl of the caves resident beasts are enough to solidify his assumptions about fighting.

Rexus exits the cave and once again takes up his vigil. Sooner or later, his ally would arrive and they would get to acquiring what was destined to be theirs.

The Kaleesh traverses the dusty canyon gorge located on the planet Byss. The grains of dirt and stone form ghostly spiraling dances in the wind as this agent of death walks through and past them. To his right flowed a small stream of crystal clear water, revealing the smooth oval stones resting on the bed of the tiny body of water. The sun above didn't bother the Kaleesh as much as he expected it would, since he was already hardened to the humid jungle climate of his homeworld of Kalee. Under all of his clothing, surely any other being would suffer a heat stroke, without a doubt. Approximately 100 meters ahead of him, surrounded by shriveled and weathered desert shrubs, lay the entrance to the cave where his compatriot would be waiting for him so they may begin their hunt for the crystals needed to power their Lightsabers.

Attached to a cloth cord wrapped around his waist is a small burlap pouch containing the parts required to assemble the lightsaber once a suitable crystal was found. In addition to these parts, he also brought some decorative pieces to personalize his weapon once he brought it to working order. Well aware of the potential dangers in the cave ahead, the Kaleesh managed to bring along an old friend that had come to serve him reliably: His old hunting spear he had crafted many years ago out of strong wood and scrap parts. It was no Blaster or lightsaber, but it was a weapon he could count on and one that he was familiar with. The spear would be firmly strapped to his back by a makeshift drab brown bandoleer that kept it pressed against his back, but also allowed it to be drawn at a moment's notice.

The Kaleesh could feel the drop in temperature as he stepped into the dark threshold of the cave and out of the blistering sun. His eyes quickly adjusted to the lower levels of light as he ventured further into the maw of the cave. Quickly scanning the surrounding area, he spotted Rexus pacing just up ahead. The Kaleesh cleared his throat to get Rexus's attention, but ended up making more of a loud cough before speaking up.

"I have arrived as you requested. Shall we begin our quest?"

" Our path to power begins here. "

Wasting no more time on words, Rexus turns and heads into the cave. He was, despite all of his malice, an oddly inspiring figure to follow. He walks with a confidence and poise resembling something between a warrior and leader. The cave they were entering was full of creatures twisted by the Darkness that plagued this world and many in this particular sector. Rexus was assure of this and yet he still continues onward. He takes in many of the sights including a closer look at the structures he had noted previously. Who or whatever had made what appears to be an archway that stands before of him were quite the architects. The glyphs or writings of upon the perfectly hewn stone are unknown to Rexus. At the top and center portion of the archway is a crystal that, despite it's low glow, was just as inert as the ones currently surrounding them.

If Rexus and his ally were going to acquire their prizes, they would need to delve even deeper into the cave system. A fierce howl can be heard as something apparently approaches the two from one of the varied entrances. Rexus said nothing and his only actions consisted of the drawing and activating of his saber. As soon as that was done, he began to approach the source of the noise.

The Kaleesh would nod in agreement before following Rexus into the bowels of the cave where hundreds of crystals lie in wait, ripe for the taking. The Kaleesh warrior's anxiousness grew with each step he took inside the cave; he eagerly awaited for them to stumble upon a patch of Kyber crystals in order to construct a Lightsaber he could call his own. He already had his own that was provided by the Academy, however for this particular task he chose to bring his trusty spear for one, final journey before he would have no more use for it. Upon hearing the same howling noise, the warrior would reach behind his back with his right hand and firmly grasp the neck of the spear before pulling it from it's quiver. He would then pull the spear over his shoulder and bring it to bear, following Rexus towards the source of the noise. He would scan the area with a sharp eye, however there appeared to be no immediate danger. The atmosphere of the cave had him on edge, however. Had he maintained a shred of emotion left, he would consider this place "creepy". However all those superficial feelings had been replaced by an unbreakable drive to achieve his destiny.

The Kaleesh's grip tightened around his spear, the muscles in his left arm tensed; the actuators and servos in his cybernetic right arm where primed and ready to thrust the spear forward at a moment's notice. Suddenly the Kaleesh's senses, honed by decades of hunting in the jungles of Kalee, picked up the presence of another being in the cave. Non sentient. Most likely the source of the noise. The Kaleesh prudently chose to alert his companion of the danger.

"There is something ahead. It would be wise to exercise caution"
