Forge
Every good Jedi Temple had a workshop-turned-forge that you could work on things in. For example, you could take the time out to finely craft your lightsaber hilt and crystals, making your weapon into the deadliest and most personal expression of self possible. You could make new gear, like camera droids. You could even forge new armour, which very few Jedi opted to do. Zane Watts was very few Jedi.
...
Okay, that made way more sense in my head. Of course he's very few Jedi. He's just one. Duh.
So, we have Zane Watts, clone extraordinaire, Jedi Knight and protector of the Galaxy. At this point in time, Zane was very happily standing around with his new, pristine-white armour sitting on the table, robe folded neatly on top of it. Unsurprisingly, it was a re-creation of his existing armour as part of Jedi Strike Ops; he liked the way it looked and had every intention of keeping it that way. However, he'd made some modifications to it in order to make it better for him as a Jedi Knight to deploy into battle carrying some big guns while keeping his mobility. Basically he was going to make himself more badass, as usual. He'd spent the better part of a week building his new kit, testing the plates, shaping it to his body, what have you; he'd worked long and hard on his new armour, and it showed.
However, it was a little strangely incomplete. Sitting in the back of the wrist plates were two massive holes. In Zane's hand were two raw lightsaber crystals and sitting on the bench were all the tools needed in order to implant said crystals into medallions and put them into the armour. Here was the problem: the Sith had access to amulets, which amplified their power, which were essentially tuned crystals. The Jedi, in theory, could do the same thing, right? Right. So, if a Jedi Knight could tune the power of the Force and replicate the effect, they could make something identical to Sith Amulets and get on the whole idea of making shiny toys to counteract the Sith.
The only downside to this: Zane sucked at the Force. He'd need a little help.
