Special Features:
Sm. Crystal Fused Engine: While not as large as the fusion core that sits in the Furious-class Crystal Corvette, the Crown-type Crystal Defender does have a miniature version of this core providing a small boost to its engine and overall system efficency as the Crystal Fusion Chamber within the Engine enables it to act as a heatsink drawing heat away from the more critical components of the craft. Manoeuvrability Rating: 3
Speed Rating: 3
Hyperdrive Class: 1

Strengths:
[+] Stronger: Tougher and more durable than the average starfighter, the Crown-type utilizes the familiar x-wing shape and combines it with Imperial technology. Allowing her to take more punches, while dishing out her own return fire.

[+] Efficiency: With the CFE Engine in mind, the Crown performs more efficiently than that of her type more importantly the extra performance is routed into her charged shield plates making them more capable of sustaining damage.

Weaknesses:
[-] Cold: Because it has a smaller variant of the CFE, means it also suffers the same drawbacks. Including the possibility of a complete system freeze. Which could spell trouble for any pilot who sits in one of these Crown-type Defenders. A system shutdown freeze cripples the Crown-type considerably as the pilot must wait for the engine to warm up again before being able to work with it properly.

[-] Charged: While the FOCIE may have brought back the charged shield plating, the plating has a vulnerable spot near the forward toward the transparisteel viewport. Shots to her belly will cripple the plating, shots toward this area of the vessel will cause the plates to malfunction; shutting down both regular shields and the technology behind the charged shield plating as well. As this is the main ‘charge box’ for both systems.

[-] Torpedo Lock: As a consequence of the CFE-G1, the torpedo launchers may malfunction - this is due to the placement of the torpedo launching system within the craft itself. This in combination with the CFE-G1 may result in the complete freeze of torpedo launchers. Meaning the pilot will have to wait for the launchers to warm up, and if they don't they'll have to rely on their ion cannons until they can make it back to hangar.

Description:Taking from the Alliance, the First Order Corps of Imperial Engineers created their variation on the S-Fold, and crafted them onto the oculus section of a TIE Fighter. What started out as a model turned into something more. Over the course of a year, the design was tweaked and worked until the final product was approved. With the idea of a TIE-X in mind, it came down to applying the craft into a role, and that role was defense. A heavier craft with the ability to use Kyber crystals.

Creating an engine to use the Kyber crystals was another matter, thankfully the FOCIE had already been working on this with the Furious-class Kyber Corvette. However the larger-scale wasn’t working as they had hoped so they switched focus to the Crown. This enabled them to create a smaller core, or fusion core as they later named it and from there it was a matter of replicating this into a larger core for the Furious.

Given that the Crown-type was not built with turbolaser weaponry, the smaller variant of the CFE-G1 provides an added boost to the engines. Acting as a heatsink, the engine pulls all of the heat away from the more critical components of the craft. Enabling the Crown to perform more efficiently than other craft of her type, with the improved efficency the Crown's shield charge plating are able to soak in more damage and recharge at a faster rate than that of its predecessors.

I would like to see the specific strengths and weaknesses of the Crystal engine made more clear in how they effect this particular sub. For example, you mention how they boost the power of turbolasers, but this particular fighter has no lasers at all.

Remember that each sub should stand on it's own, so please hyperlink the Crystal engine under 'Special Features' and indicate how it effects specifically this type of ship.
