Strengths:

• Redundant Shielding provides two layers of protection before the hull should take any significant damage.
• A reinforced hull guarantees a modicum of safety even if the shields on the ship were to be knocked offline.

Weaknesses:

• The Crown-class frigate is not designed to be an extremely combat oriented ship, it has a very light amount of armaments at its disposal.
• The Crown-class is also both slow to move and slow to turn, having low maneuverability and speed.

Description:
Following the defeat of the One Sith on Coruscant at the hands of the Galactic Alliance, Lily Kuhn - empress of the Empress Teta systems - quickly surrendered her system to Alliance control. In return for the voluntary entrance to the Alliance membership, the system was given freedom to continue self-governance with Lily remaining at her position as royalty. However, and mostly due to her voluntary surrender, Lily has become a target to rogue Sith and other former allies to the One Sith. Because of this danger, Lily has commissioned a large ship with an impressive set of defenses. The Crown-Class Frigate, named for the person who would be using it, boasts both a reinforced Durasteel and Vardium hull as well as redundant shields. However it also features majorly reduced armaments and reduced speed and maneuverability, which are certainly disadvantages in combat - although Lily does not plan to ever place herself in a combat position. By and large the ship is mostly a non-combat ship for roles such as long-term travel and business.

The closest frigate template reference ship, the Starbolt, has an armament rating of 4 as well, but has 20 turbolasers and 30 quad lasers. The Crown has 30/70, or almost double the gun exchange points. The escort frigate example ship has a rating of 5; if you shuffle some things around with the gun exchange chart, you get 30/60. So basically, your options are either tweak the gun count way down or boost the armament rating to 5.
