Crossing Paths with a Cat (Kitty)

Zira put her hands up and said "Don't worry. I only wanted to see if I could trust you first. Apparently, since I'm still alive, I guess that means I can." She gave a reassuring smile before explaining "Right now I'm only worried about finding out about this bio-weapon. If you're truly instant on it then we can fight later. But I think even you want to know too. Why else would you be brought here?" She reached out and patted kitty's shoulder and finished with "Even from a scientific point I know things aren't as black and white as they say."
[member="Kitty"]

"Thank you and yea I want to find this bio-weapon. They could have killed me and the Vors I guess. The idea that their using food to hurt people just upsets me. So what do we do now? We know how the bio-weapon is being used but we still don't know who is behind it. Do we spy on the animals or something? Seems like it would be really hard to keep track of them all."
[member="Zira Wi"]

With that question in mind Zira went straight in her posture and tried to think again. She paced a bit, mubling to herself, looking around and then glancing back and forth at the village and [member="Kitty"] . It was clear the wheels in her mind were turning like crazy as she tried to figure something out. Eventually she stopped in front of Kitty as if an idea sprang to mind.
"I....have no idea." she finally said. "I won't really know until we at least figure a cure. From there we'll have to put more pieces together." she knelt down until she wound up sitting on the ground in a stump, saying "For now, I'm just stuck."

Looking back to the village Zira said "I think they've known. They just wanted to be difficult and not let outsiders get involved." She sighed and commented "And I thought we kaminoans were isolated. At least back when we made clones. Entire armies of them in fact." After that she turned to look at [member="Kitty"] and commented "I'm glad to see you're not the type of Sith who intimidates before asking questions. At least that's half the stories I hear about the anyway."

"Thanks I guess? I can understand why they do it though their just trying to protect themselves through intimidation. And now I have another reason to dislike the Vors. Freaking make us go through all that work when they could have just told us."

[member="Zira Wi"]

Zira huffed in agreement before saying with a positive tone " [member="Kitty"] , you're a lot nicer than I thought you'd be. I mean for a Sith. I mean you're the first one I've ever met and I mean that in a good way. I...I'm just trying to say that I don't dislike you or anything just because we're on different sides. I know it might've been different if we were knights or something, but I'm glad I know there's at least one nice Sith out there."

"I'm glad there are jedi out there that won't turn me in or attack me just at knowing I'm a sith. I'm afraid to admit most sith aren't like me. I actually don't like sith but I agree with their code and I don't with the jedi code. I just don't like what the sith do. I hope I can change them."

[member="Zira Wi"]

Zira smiled when she heard [member="Kitty"] explain herself, making her say "That's commendable. I'm glad to hear that, Kitty. I mean the fact you want to change things. As for myself I don't exactly seek change, just potential. And having the force means there's lots of potential for my future. Same as you with yours." She reached out and this time found her hand on her furry head. "I think it's sweet of you."

"Thank you." Kitty said before a hand was placed on her head to which Kitty closed her eyes and leaned into said hand. A quiet purr began to emanate from her.
[member="Zira Wi"]

Given how she purred Zira giggled a bit. It was like dealing with an actual pet, yet with a deeper connection than just something around the house. Her fur was a great sensation against her skin. Zira found it hard to stop, being that she really enjoyed the touch. Her mind started to wander again about [member="Kitty"] and how nice it was that she and her were becoming friends. She wandered to far to where she didn't realizing how long she'd been petting her.
She pulled away awkwardly and said "Oh, sorry....that was....rude of me."

Kitty stopped purring and opened her eyes when [member="Zira Wi"] pulled away. She looked at her with sadness at her pulling away. "No I like it. I think of it as like a hug only a lot better. Don't stop." Kitty said earnestly.

Zira was relived to hear this and, at first, reached her hand back to pet her more. She stopped herself, however, as she seemed unsure about something.
" [member="Kitty"] I...I don't know if I should." she began. When Kitty would ask she said "Because...I think there's something wrong with this. I mean hear we are, a sith and Jedi, getting along and petting each other and..." She stopped herself again and shook her head before adding "And we're both females. I...I don't if it's right....?"
(This isn't her rejecting, just showing her confusion on how she feels.)

Kitty could understand her confusion. She didn't entirely know how she felt about the situation either. The young feline decided this would be an appropriate situation to use her unique form of meditation. Kitty would meditate in the force while talking at the same time amplifying her emotions and also subjecting those around her to them. The first thing that came up was Kitty's sadness over the separation and hatred between the jedi and the sith with it also came Kitty's intense dislike of the jedi code and the way they brain wash their jedi into not making attachments and breaking those they have previously made. On the flip side was her intense dislike of the way the sith mistreat people and use their code as an excuse to be selfish. "Why do we have to comply with what the jedi and sith want us to do. I don't want to be enemies but both the sith and the jedi want and teach us to. I wish we could just discuss and accept our differences and not fight over it. Both sides basically saying conform to the way we think or die. We should serve as an example of how things could be.

Next was Kitty's love for her new friend and gratitude for having her here. In the background was her initial hatred of this place but over shadowing it was her new love of it and her desire for it not to end. There was also her frustration in trying to sabotage to trip but being able to figure out how. Then there was her fear of recent developments that everything that made Kitty who she was, was driving her new friend away, that no matter what Kitty did there was no way she could keep her new friend and the worry if she wouldn't be able to have any friends at all. "I don't want to lose you but I can understand if it doesn't work. I've always been weird from the day I was born, inside and out." Kitty said accidentally bringing up all her painfull memories from her childhood and how it didn't matter how much she cared for them they didn't like Kitty and didn't think she belonged, her parents even taking their side making her nothing but a burden. Kitty's eyes were starting to water up real quick and she felt bad for having accidentally subjected [member="Zira Wi"] to her pain.

Zira felt bad now for having said what she did. Especially when [member="Kitty"] mentioned how they shouldn't have to be afraid of the Jedi or Sith for having a relation together. Her head went down, leaning forward as she tried to make sense of it all. As she continued to hear Kitty she perked when she could see her cry and began to feel her pain through the meditation. Feeling so sorry for her she leaned over and hugged her with one arm while trying to comfort her.
"It's alright. My life is not exactly the best either. A father who wanted to tell me how things were done. My mother dying when I was just a infant. No one taking my work seriously. Only being a Jedi seemed to be important, but my father forbade me and told me to stick with science like any other Kaminoan. And we've never had any of the same gender having relations among our people. I think it's forbidden actually..."

Kitty was comforted by [member="Zira Wi"] hug and listened to her discomfort with her own history. "This is why I chose the sith over the jedi. I refuse to let anyone invalidate how I feel. That and the sith would kill me if I defected. They did get to me first." Kitty laughed trying to lighten the mood. "Lets find those bastards that poisoned my meat and made those Vors sick. I feel like knocking some heads now." Kitty said getting up and walking off with purpose. She had no idea where she was going or what she was doing though."

Kira stood and followed before saying "Uh, sure. Though we have no idea where to look. Maybe if we..." she paused as she looked out over the horizon and asked "Question, did you bring a droid? Because I know I didn't." She then pointed to what looked like a probe droid hovering about out in one of the fields. Looking to [member="Kitty"] she jokingly said "I think I know where we should look now."

Kitty stopped walking in a random direction at [member="Zira Wi"] question. "No why?" Kitty asked before looking in the direction she was pointing. Kitty grabbed her lightsaber and had it ready in the reverse grip but did not ignite it. "Last one to the droid is a rotten egg." Kitty said taking off towards the probe.

Just as [member="Kitty"] called for a race Zira was caught off-guard by it, calling "Hey! Wait!" As she ran, her long legs managing to keep up with Kitty's nimble cat-like ones, she heaved to herself "I really hate running." The probe could see the two approaching and at first tried to fly away. It turned and hovered off, only to constantly look back and see the two chasing after it. It beeped and wheed with anger at the fact it had been spotted by outsiders.
