As soon as Allyson left the tent, Kat felt her heart sink since she felt certain that Allyson had left and she wouldn't see her again for another few months, possibly years. She spent several moments cursing herself, "you went too far Kat. Pushed too hard." She had promised to be cool and let Allyson feel comfortable around her as a friend or whatever Allyson wanted them to be. She just hoped that Allyson would enter her life sooner than later, so she could apologise for being too forward once again.

For now, she sighed heavily and gathered her notes. On the off chance that Allyson did stick around and she did return, Kat couldn't be seen moping around and looking like a sad puppy. Life had to move forward and she was working on this mission before crossing paths with Allyson so she needed to keep on track and if Allyson was sticking around, she needed to prove to her friend that she could maintain professionalism no matter what happened between them. That what happened today was nothing that had a lasting impact of their connection in Kat's eyes.

Several hours had past, Kat had a stack of annotated notes and conversations she had either had or overheard from her recon mission on the planet. There was a long, slender pen in her hair that held it in a bun, she was slightly chewing on a nail as she scanned over a final piece of paper. It had been a long few hours, her eyes had frequently drifted to the tent doors in case they flapped open and Allyson appeared. However, she was starting to suspect that her Jedi Shadow companion had gotten offworld and heading off who knows where. Kat just prayed that her friend would be safe and return safely into her life.

Then Allyson appeared in the tent.

Kat rose to her feet. "Hey, erm, I was able to gather some..."

"Why do you always do this to me?"

She blushed and looked down, afraid that they would be heading into another fight. That Allyson was upset with how Kat ruined the good mood she had. When Kat had found out about Taiia, she had not handled the situation well, there had been plenty of problems of Kat not handling Allyson being with others well. Even when she tried putting on a strong front. So she was aware that Allyson could be upset with her over that. Kat was prepared for her to be shouted at and told off for creating problems for Allyson.

What she did not expect was what actually happened.

"I'm sorry... I..." Was all Kat could whisper back to Allyson before they kissed. Surprised, Kat didn't give into the passion as deeply as she had before, but after that split moment, she fell into Allyson's arms and kissed her deeply again. Her arm wrapped around the Jedi Shadow's waist and gripped her clothing tightly. Her heart racing as they kissed, there was no boundary that Allyson could try pushing that Kat wouldn't follow. She loved the Jedi Shadow and she couldn't help it, and she refused to fight it.

Once they broke the kiss, Kat bit her bottom lip, feeling her heart flutter in joy and excitement. Hearing words she had longed to hear for years now. Words she felt certain that she would never feel. However, it was not a promise to be forever, it was something for the moment, for the day. "I love you today. I will love you tomorrow but I am never going to cage you, Allyson." Kat whispered back, not holding back her feelings any longer but also accepting Allyson's terms open heartedly. "I will take the days you love me when you can share them, as long as you can tolerant me loving you the days you don't feel the same."

There was fear she was surrendering too much of her heart to Allyson, but Allyson was the one who had claim of it and had for years now.
