Description: After the death of many commanders during the civil war, as it appeared as if the rebels had a high frequency for targeting any officers they could pick out in the midst of combat or during ambush, the High Command of Crina's Royalist forces had quite enough when even the famed and revered Lord General Tiberius fell to rebel ambush. With the death of their most effective leader during the civil war the Royalists worked tirelessly to ensure they did not suffer such losses again. Having already taken the opportunity to push expenses to increase the quality of their soldiers armor so they would not suffer defeat at the rebels hands so easily in a similar manner, the engineers and developers at CRI worked to develop an armor for their officers as well.

While lacking the same level of shields as those of the royal infantry armor, the Royal Officer Armor makes up for it by utilizing thick layers of durasteel and alusteel plating to withstand blaster bolts more effectively than the ballistic and plasteel the infantry armor used. Though this did result in the Officer's armor becoming heavier, the Crinan Engineers worked to turn the set into power armor to slightly increase strength as well to ease the wearer's burdern as well as to make an officer more capable in close ranged combat where they are at most risk.

Sadly as they did feel the need to keep an officer's face exposed to prevent rebels from stealing a set and hiding their face, it leaves one open to headshots from the front, a considerable threat in close quarters or where snipers are present. Thankfully it does have the light shield unit, but it drains quickly, faster than the infantry's armor by a large margin, as as such is integrated more into the layers of the armor should the plating be breached, rather than on top. The one spot the shield is the only protection is the face, hopefully an officer won't be caught by a high energy or ballistic round that can break through the light barrier. This likely is a significant threat with offworld weapons being more powerful on average than Crinan sniper rifles.

*Now I know I used the same dev thread, but the real way I'm hoping to pass this armor is by making it minor and giving it the weaknesses it has. The dev thread just has the excuse in it for them for making it. I know I can't use the same one twice to cover things. . . .I think? Not without adding more posts that is.

I haven't gotten a chance to evaluate this yet, but you are correct: you cannot submit the same thread, regardless of additional posts, for two submissions - they only count as one.

I know, like I said I was just linking it though for the story element as it does provide a reason for its existence. Hence why I mentioned it isn't really for the submission's approval.

For that I lowered its production, used standard materials, and gave ample weaknesses.
