Creation of Life, and Sabers.

I took a hold of the chair's arm that I sat in. Rather nice looking, made of a darkened Alumabronze, the throne that sat on the bridge of "Imura Dai'layion" Named after a man who I once knew long ago and was once part of my family. Sitting in the fiery bronze throne, made simply of a solid chair with different utilities should I need them. Coming to a lull in the Hyperspace, I stood.

Facing my men, I nodded, letting them know that I would be back. I turned and left the Bridge. Heading towards the armory where I had sent my new apprentice to train in combat with her twin Katanas. I knew that she was a formatable warrior, and a good duelist. I just needed her to be ready for whenever I would have to give her a true training excersize. Not that having her fight 5 battle droids with the same fighting style that of a seasoned warrior was not hard, but there were other things that needed to be addressed.

Walking into the armory, I hoped to find that she was preforming her task well. In the back of the armory was a sealed environment room, where she would train against the droids that would only stop fighting with my say so, or they were utterly destroyed.

((OOC: Sorry about it being late, I have been very busy!))

Elvira had been told to train with the droids, not destroy them...

... Which destroying them was what she was doing.

There lay one droid with an entire katana stuck in its mechanical brain at the very edge of the training ring. Meanwhile, she was just dealing with the next two. She snuck behind one of the melee bots and slashed at its throat. After the head fell she pulled it in front of herself just as another bot shot some training bolts towards her. The droid got it instead. Then, Elvira generated a powerful Force push when sent the beheaded bot colliding with the other.

Elvira couldn't help but smirk; this was so much better then grabbing rotten food out of a dumpster in the streets. She could actually say that training was fun. Why? Well, because she found it fun to unleash her inner monster and absolutely demolish these things! ... However, they were just training bots.... Which she completely forgot within the ten minutes she had spent here.

The main reason why she had suddenly gone berserk on them was because of how long this was taking. Being used to taking long fights to the shadows or quickly ending it in the open, this was not the style of combat she was used to at all. The second reason was because of a string from the first one: she was rather tired. As fun as she found this, the sweat beads trickling down her face and her soaking wet back explained the other half of things. The third reason was because of her excitement; she was so jerked up having become the apprentice of a Force user, she wasn't thinking as clearly as usual.

The fighting style she had been using the entire time pointed evidence to what she had never even told her old master - it took a good impression off the lightsaber style Ataru. It was claimed to be the most aggressive and physically demanding lightsaber form out there, and it was the one that Elvira had been taught in while she had formally trained in the Jedi Temple. She had been away from the order for several years under the second half of her lifetime now, so she barely remembered the details of her home, but Ataru still flowed naturally through her - even if it was in the use of just a katana blade instead... She had chucked her first blade into the first droid, and her spare katana was laying elsewhere in the room; thus she had to use one blade alone. She entered an open Ataru stance in front of the two droids, both melee based probes, and prepared to make the next move ...

... Then she felt a certain present through the Force. She didn't have to look back to note him, "Master?" She smirked in amusement as she heard footsteps behind her, "-Oh! ... Sorry for killing some of your droids..."

It was very interesting to see her fight these droids with her katanas. I used a sword myself and even a chain whip to go with it at times. But the Ataru form that she took was almost second nature to her. She moved with a kind of grace that only a warrior that had seen battle after battle could appreciate. The droids were being desolated by her. They simply had metal swords for melee training. These droids were more so for the men that were under my command. because at my stature and strength I could destroy them all in one swoop. So sometimes I would challenge myself to only used one weapon, or only used my hands. Each being more difficult than the last, mostly because I was fighting two dozen droids at once rather than just a small group.

Seeing that she was already accustomed to fighting and was rather well at it, I would only have to push on her training in the force, and later in actual lightsabers when she created her own. As she turned around the droids came in to attack her. And before she could even blink and eye, I already moved onto the training field. my hand lashed out to simply slam into the chest of the first droid. His head and limbs fell as the durasteel chest was embedded into the wall. My left hand then lashed out at the droids head and it followed after the chest of the first droid.

I shook my head and turned to Elvira with a question on my face, "Don't turn you back to a foe, Rule one." I called on the force and the destroide pieces came to pile themselves up behind me, and the two katanas were now in my hands being handed to my student. "Now, you are find in taking the droids on, Infact I wanted to see how you would react and you did well. All you need to do is use more of your force powers. Don't be completely reliant on your skills with a blade alone." I took a few steps back and drew my own sword. The black blade was just over 3 feet long and rather simple looking. "Since I don't want to loose anymore droids, How about you try and pass my defenses?"

Elvira took the weapons and watched him draw his own sword out. It was much different than a katana in both color and size. She kept her ataru stance, this time in a duel-blading style, and kept herself open. She hoped that this duel would be snappy, as she was really tired already. However, if it took longer it took longer - maybe he'd pass some tricks down to her.

Thus, she charged.

She steps were quick, but given that she wasn't using Force Speed her pace was still human. As she came up to him, she aimed one blade to throw away his sword and the other towards the arm his sword was in. She knew that while striking in two separate areas was hard to block, it was a predictable move. One of the very first things she had learned on the streets was to always do the unpredictable - whether it was clever or not. Use a classic, clever move over and over again and the unpredictable was now predictable. So while she was aiming at the same area, one blade was still doing one thing while the second was doing the other. Another trick she had beckoned up her sleeve was to change the course of her second blade right before impact. Instead of hitting his arm, the blade would hit his shoulder. He had armor from one of his Force companies to cover the blow, and she knew it. However, she never wanted to hurt her teacher. This opening blow would just prove where her brains were in the operation. Hopefully, she was being (un)predictable enough...

With twin blades, it was expectable that she would try to pull attacks from both sides at once. or even feint an attack. Having fight against some of the greatest fighters in the Galaxy, I could predict movements fairly well. But that does not mean that this girl could get lucky. My blade was thicker and would be slow to swing, but as hers were made out of a simple metal, mine was made of Phrik. A very light and very durable and very rare metal alloy that could withstand lightsaber strikes, and even deflect blaster bolts.

Her blade came for my sword arm, or right side, and with a simple step back the tip of the blade swung just in front of my clothing. scratching the leather jacket as the second strike was blocked with a flick of my wrist. Simple and effective the motion could block attacks far longer than any person could dish them out. If she was going to simply take me over by sheer strength or number of attacks, then she would tire out very fast.

As her blade was smacked away by my own, my left hand lashed out grabbing her tunic and pulling her towards me, then pushing her back. It was just to shake her up and show that she was easily taken over and could have been killed at that moment. "If you dare to attack once, dare to defend twice as much." I then brought my sword at the ready once more for her to attack.

Elvira growled at the fact that he had blocked her double attack so easily. Now several paces back from him, she attempted to develop another plan. Seeing how she had lived off of scraps for the several long years of her life, she quickly came up with one.

It would demand a lot of physical movement, but luckily for her she was agile enough already. She raced up to her master again, playing off the role of charging to him and swinging headfirst. However, another lesson from the streets was when and when not to look like an idiot and how to use deception in the process… Just before it seemed like she would hit him she ducked, swerved to his side, and aimed one blade towards his waist. The other blade she kept ready to block a blow from him. Afterwards, whether she hit him or not, she had skidded to a halt several paces behind him.

The attack was one of those “catch you off guard” moves where right before it seemed like she would make one attack she would snap into another. Using moves like that one had worked how many times… on droids? A lot. She had used it on common bounty hunters too, but she had mostly used her vibro-knives to perform these sneak attacks. She barely used both her katanas for such moves, but it was worth a shot…

I smiled as the woman charged me again. She was a scrapper. A type of person that sees if something is not working, they do something unexpected. Hit from the side at a place that is not normally hit. Or even a straight kill swipe. But as I was her master, I doubted that she would try for the kill. If she could kill me, well then I had to rethink my now dead life.

because of this knowledge, I knew that her charge, was not really a charge attack. She would do something different to take me out, and as she came towards me, My left hand already formed a force barrier around it. Ready for her strike.

She came around my left, my "unarmed" side as she did so, I swung my arm down as she ducked under an invisable sword. It was good, but with experience against many masters at the same time, One with a scraper attitude would not be difficult. As she came to be almost behind me, I used my momentum to swing from where I stood around to my right. Where as most would follow their opponent, which meant going to the left after the "trail" that she had left, I moved to the right. It was different and unexpected as well.

My black sword whistled as it came towards her chest, and even then, at the last moment, I drew my sword in, so even if she didn't try to block the sword, it wouldn't hit her, instead I sent my left hand out as my right crossed her body with a fist aimed to her face.

*!

Elvira fell back at the collision of her teacher's fist in her face. One of her eyes now twitched as she silently lifted her hand to her face. No sound came out of her but a hushed "Hey..." She had been focused on just blocking the next attack - her teachers blade. However, she had decided to give her a taste of her own medicine... The punch was completely unexpected!

She had dropped both of her katanas, but she quickly got up, grabbing them again. Unfortunately, Ataru was currently the only style of any melee fighting she formally knew. Given that Ataru was so upfront and intense, and she had gotten used to a different form of fighting back on the streets; she honestly felt like this was hopeless. She honestly felt like quitting...

... But only for a moment.

Her purple eyes formed a glance of determination. She wanted to prove herself to her new master! She just wanted one more try... She sighed and got up, "I'll admit", she told him, "I didn't expect even you to pull such a move off." She blinked, a silent form of admitting that she had been too cocky. However, she smirked a moment later, simply trying to keep herself confident in pulling off another round.

Her eye was still twitching, and it simply reminded her of her current task. All she needed... was one hit. She raced up to him again - half way. Elvira ran to the side and behind him before zooming in. She then did a rather 'hands off' move and thrust one of her blades towards him from where she was. From there she used the Force to increase her speed and raced straight up to him. With both hands on her single, steel weapon, she aimed the blade towards his chest. Once again, pulling off the similar deception act, she lifted one of her hands off to give him his own medicine. A punch in the face.

Elvira barely respected people despite her kindness, but this man had gained her surprisingly quick. Same for his fighting skills. Within the last two times she had failed to strike him, he had proven to her once again of how experienced he was in fighting. And while Elvira had to scratch for food and fight for freedom down there, she still wouldn't be able to match up to him with her current experience in a while. She didn't expect even this next move to work, but like the other times she simply wanted to show him that she had something in her. She had something.

I smiled as I saw someone in her. She reminded me of someone who fought for life on the streets despite having almost nothing. This man literally grew up from the age of nine to nineteen to where he returned home and began his training once more. Me.

I smiled as I could see in how she thought that the move would work on me. Her style was already traveled by myself. I already knew the law of the streets. Hell, I survived not that far from where I had picked her up from. Even now, I could see that this woman has so much potential, that I don't know where it may take her. Already she was better than most of the students that I had taken under my wing. She could fight, and I knew it.

I smirked at her comment of not expecting that. By standards of swordsmanship, I was pretty good, but no where near the best. I used no formal form because I took a piece of it from here and there. Creating my own. If I were to go toe to toe with any other Master ranked person, I would probably lose. But on terms with the force? no. Thats where I excelled. Being a Ex-scraper I still had little blips in my fighting and speaking even to where it showed I grew up differently. And seeing Elvira be almost like this, was almost like seeing a long lost sister, or even a Daughter. Though I would never say this to her out loud. "Expect me? Ha! Not even my friend expects an attack when we Spar."

Once again she did the unexpected. With as much that she threw the blade at me with possibly the aid of the force, as it shot straight to me. I lifted my left hand and the blade tip slowed down to the point where the sharp tip of the blade touched my hand and was then dropped to the ground as she raced to me. I could see how the blur of her body was from the force being fueled into her and out to her blade as it came up and blocking from the potential attack, Came her fist.

Most of her attacks were with a blade, however with this one, she changed it up. Brought the game to a whole new level. As her fist came closer, time seemed to slow down as I reeled my head back. With my height advantage against her, the knuckles of her fist came to touch my nose, and I could smell the scent of sweat on her hands. Her reach was oh so close to giving me a full blow. I smiled as she did so. Her hand then left my face and back to herself.

Instead of resuming forwards, I took a step back to allow some space between the two of us. I held up my left hand for a stop. "Now that is something different." Usually an apprentice would think that having two blades was better because of the idea of more weapons, but this woman, a woman from the streets of courscant, changed the whole outlook of what was thought about apprentices. She gave up her weapon, to fight only with the single blade and her fist. And she got closer to attacking me than any apprentice to this date. Well unless you counted one that I happened to be with.

This was good. I shook my head at her and smiled as I did so, I put away my sword into the sheath along my back, "Have you ever used a lightsaber?"

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira smirked when she saw how close she had actually been to hitting him! Only by... maybe a milometer... did she miss. What was even better was the way he had smiled at her. Was this approval? Elvira thought so. However, the next thing he did pushed her confident mood completely towards the opposites. For one, she felt disappointment when he had put away his blade. While indeed, Elvira was close to her limit now, she still had a bit left in her. It was the second though that completely put her off... "Have you ever used a lightsaber?"

Elvira's eyes widened at that, she even began to shake. She knew the answer right off the bat, and she felt some dread in ever releasing a bit of detail on it. However, Morna had done enough for her. Heck, he even seemed to respect her. She closed her eyes and let out a shaky sigh, it was time to tell him the truth. "I-I not only used one..." Elvira shook, "I constructed one." She opened her eyes again, attempting to fight off the sense of insecurity on this topic, "In fact... From the age of three to nine I trained at the Jedi Temple as a youngling." She sighed again, this sigh was much quieter. "Certain... things ... Cause me to leave... Whenever I did go though", She finished, "The training lightsaber I had built when I was six stayed with them."

The way she had said that last word dripped with an emotion that would probably come off as something new from her to her teacher... Dread. There certainly were reasons she had left. The way she had particularly said 'them' was filled with feelings not that of somebody who had been a past caretaker. It was filled with the way somebody would say 'them' as in a group of bullies who just wouldn't leave you alone or the group of soldiers that belonged to a cruel emperor who had just taken one's husband away for no good reason. It was that kind of 'them'. Bringing up her personal life as a youngling was too much for her. However, like all younglings, when she reached the proper age she was taken with the rest of her clan to Ilum to construct her first lightsaber. Since then, up to the day she had left she had kept with her everywhere she went - she even slept with it under her pillow.

The only thing she could hope for was that her master whom had already earned her respect would not develop any hard feelings just for her back story. She hated that chapter in her life. With anything else she could say, if it came to it she would admit something: The Jedi Temple had seemed more like a prison to her than anything else.

@[member="Morna Imura"]

Oh could I tell that she already could use one. I was somewhat familiar with Ataru as I have a friend that tried to teach me. But I didn't want to learn from him. What I wanted was the answer to why she didn't have a lightsaber. As a Jedi she would have been given one at a young age. Just a simple training saber until it was swapped out with a real one. If a Sith, then she could have been given a lightsaber by now as well. Even then I was silent as she spoke. Wanting to be careful about offending me. Though I was not.

She spoke of being at the Jedi temple, and by the sounds of her voice, I could tell that at the time, she was almost in love with the training saber. I knew how that felt. Even when I had fought Chronos in those stupid caves, he tried to take my lightsaber. But it was mine. and mine alone. It was partial to me because of the way it acted, and even now, I could see the way that she was wanting to get that back.

Ho there was much venom in her voice that I could almost see it drip from her lips and to the floor. Though it may not be the venom of a real and true hate, it was there. She did not like the Jedi for taking it away because she left. and that's why I hated the Jedi as well. I helped them, and all they gave me in return was a backhand. They paid for it later though when I had stopped them from blowing up a building with my own body. But how I was not torn to shreds was a power of the force. I let my face become blank as her last words were spoken. I nodded my head and took out my own lightsaber. tossing it to her, "You want to make a real one now? That no one can take it from you?"

I walked towards her and spoke in a whisper as though others were around me. ANd saying it with a smile, "Tell me, For I can help you make your prize."

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira blinked, she had expected a Sith to get cranky with even a former Jedi, but instead he... took her side.

Build another lightsaber... She blankly looked at Morna with question in her eyes. From the outside world, it would have looked just like their first meeting in a Corusant alleyway. And Elvira's perspective was exactly the same. Well, almost the same... This time, it didn't take her too long to react. She blinked, some sort of deeply engraved look of harshness in the gaze she kept locked onto something in the distance. "A new lightsaber?" Elvira looked up at her master, who of course was smiling. "... Sure. I mean-" She blinked, "Yes! - Yes, I want to make another one." This time, she had changed herself towards the more determined person she knew she was inside. This time, she wouldn't look like nothing but a child anymore. She was the apprentice of a very strong Force user. Whether it was in battle or during lightsaber construction, she would prove her worthiness to him and anyone else in any way she could.

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I smiled as at first she seemed to be scared of me. Knowing that I had powers well beyond her years. But truly I didn't want her to be afraid. No one learned out of fear. They only sucked up to the oppressor. I shook my head slightly, "Don't be afraid to say your mind around me. If we want this training between yourself and I to go well, we need to have good communication. Making you fear me will not accomplish that."

I leaned up and looked directly at her taking my saber from her, "So, in eve of what I have said, Do you want to build your own personal lightsaber?" I already knew that she wanted to, but I wanted her to feel as though our speaking was that of being friends. Really if this was to work, we did need to have good communication. Because if we had a failure to do that, then I for one would not be a good teacher. Nor would she be a good student.

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira wondered how he knew about her emotions. Secretly, while she now respected him she wasn't yet at the point of being casual one-hundred percent of the time around him. Besides, they were just starting to get to know each other and Elvira had it drilled in her mind now not to rust people unless she knew them very well. Would this case have to be different? She knew what he said was true, if they were to get through training well she would have to trust him. Would she be able to pull down her walls so quickly after building them up so high all her life? She sighed, "I'm sorry..." Her purple eyes were closed, she was shivering. A whole life of being alone had taught her to treat people this way. She knew now that she would have to teach herself differently all over again but she didn't know where to start. "I'm just- just so used to..." being alone...

She blinked though, "I do respect you, but it takes a long time for anybody to at least gain that. I- I just..." Life. She shook her head, now officially fed up with herself. "But yeah!" Her raspy voice was suddenly much louder, attempting to change the topic. "Yes. Yes I would like to build a lightsaber again." She let out another sigh, attempting to place her old life behind her She had sworn to leave everything behind, she knew she must keep it. She allowed her old feelings to be gobbled up in the Force as much as she could let them. She still could only hang on though. While she had left her old life behind, why should she not take the lessons she learned then with her? She knew that much was true. Whatever or wherever she must go, she would hang on to her morality... And she knew she should hang on to her master too. "I-I can trust you..." A bit of insecurity was behind her voice, but it was obvious in her tone that she was trying hard to let it go. "... Do you know of a good place to find good quality lightsaber crystals outside Ilum?"

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I have an effect of reading peoples minds. Not because I can with force meld, but more so that I can read people really. And her being almost like myself growing up, I knew exactly how she was thinking right now. Preferring to be alone, yet in her heart denying it. Feeling alone for so long that it's the only thing you know. and I knew that she was going to have trust problems with me. Everyone did. you just normally don't see a person with fire all over their body and the ability to destroy an entire ecosystem on a planet with a flick of the wrist. Hell, I have burned an entire city down to the ground.

"I don't ask for you to trust me with your life. All I want is enough trust to understand what is going on." Her question of where to look for a crystal was easy. I knew of a few that could be useful for myself, but not for her. I shrugged my shoulders. "That depends on what type of saber you want. if you are looking for a blue, I would say a Permafrost crystal, a Red one would most likely be a Synith-crystal. Like I said, it all matters on what kind of lightsaber you want."

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira blinked at his reply, to her little trust issue. She did know what was going on: he was the master, she was the apprentice. He would teach her to fight, she would listen. She knew this already, she knew she had much to learn and that to learn she must be able to stay close to her master. Thankfully to her though, he hadn't pushed the issue any further and stated some lightsaber crystal colors.

'Blue'.

Blue had been the color of her training lightsaber. It had been her most prized possession, thus making a lightsaber that was more familiar was her immediate choice. "Where do we find permafrost crystals?" She really hadn't heard of permafrost crystals; and she was also surprised to hear of any more lightsaber crystals outside Ilum anyhow. Her face was not so much of a 'hiding my emotions and looking cruel' expression now than a 'then let's get down to business' face now. Making a lightsaber would only be the start of the training Elvira had been ready for the moment Morna had helped her onto that bike.

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I smiled I motioned to the door and after myself for her to follow me. I attempted to walk with her rather than ahead of her, "We will be going to Hoth for that crystal. It's also fairly rare. So we will have to search for it." As we would be going onto Hoth, I knew that it would be cold, and that we would need a way to get around fast that could have a controled enviroment. I looked and smiled. "Go ahead and go get dressed for cold weather. We may encounter a blizzard or two. meet me in the Hanger when you are ready."

At the T- break in the hallway I went to the left, towards the hangar bay I moved and after encountering a man, "Go to the bridge and tell them to plot a course to Hoth. GO planet side, but do not land. From there I will go alone with my apprentice. Deliver this now." The man in S-1 area armor nodded his head and left me to my devices. I smiled as I went past the doors and looked around for the speeder I had just bought. Smiling as I saw the Nexu class Air Speeder. I opened the airlock and took my seat on the right. I grabbed the controls feeling the leather inside of it. It felt nice. And now I waited for her.

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira had to admit, hearing about going to Hoth seemed a bit... intimidating... However, when she was told to get ready, her mouth had formed an unavoidable smirk.

Elvira had gone to her quarters as fast as she could. She already had her tunic she had gained from her master on, she only tightened it a bit and put on an extra layer of the heavy white stockings which she wore under her boots. After that she placed on her boots and gloves. Then threw on the smallest winter suit she could find, goggles, snow proof gloves, a hood, and then put her armor and cloak on above them.

While her training lightsaber had been her most prized possession as a child, as a teenager her object of attachment had been her dark, green cloak. It had been the very first thing she had found out there in the streets, and she would cling onto it everywhere she went for the next three years. Within the last three and even now, she still wore it almost everywhere she'd go and almost always was seen with the large hood over her head. Since she had joined Morna she wouldn't keep the hood up as often for the sake of not being looked at by the soldiers as a stalker or freak. However, even when she had fallen asleep for the first out of one times she had kept her hood up over her head. It was the object that helped to fight her insecurity and always helped her to feel more protected. Unless Morna did the same to it as the Jedi Council did to her old lightsaber, Elvira knew it would stay that way as well.

Even when walking outside her door, the girl had been throwing her cloak over her body and clipping it to her neck. From there on out she raced towards the hanger where she knew her master was ready. It wasn't until she got there that she finally threw both her hoods over her head. And Elvira had not come unarmed, her old DC-17 blasters alongside one of her vibro-knives hung onto her belt she had over her snow-suit. She looked confidently up to her teacher and nodded, "Ready when you are." She got inside the ship and into the left seat.

@[member="Morna Imura"]

I shook my head, She did get ready quickly, but it would be awhile for us to travel through hyperspace to Hoth. I was just sitting in the speeder waiting for her. "You get ready quick, but we wont be there for a few minutes." She may have wondered why I was not wearing extra clothing other than my jacket with no shirt and skin tight leather pants and simple combat boots. It was because of my shaping abilities, and well, I never really felt cold anyways. "You don't need all of that. And if you don't mind I would like to ask you some questions."

I knew that it would tick her mind at to what I may be asking, but really I just wanted to know how much did she know. And what happened as she was a Jedi.

@[member="Elvira Congelo"]

Elvira sighed when he had told her it would be a few more minutes. She was all ready to go! But what pricked her curiosity was when he asked her if he could ask some questions.

Elvira blinked, slightly confused, and instinctively pulled her cloak tighter over her thin body. Her eyes still held the innocence when she simply nodded.

Overall, this machine was quite the nice ride. It was more comfortable than the public transports she would hitch hikes on and the lights just captivated her. However, the time she had been looking around the vehicle was briefly spent on when she first got in. Now she was focused on Morna, wondering about what questions he wanted to ask.
