Crat Moln was born to Dat and Mara Moln, two smugglers specializing in running blockades. Crat was born near dark side artifacts, which, for some reason, made him boast a natural connection to the dark side of the force.
The effects of the connection were seen quickly, as Crat, like Darth Plagueis before him, could influence other people without trying and perform feats of physical daring uncommon to his brittle species. His natural leadership, as well as his vindictive streaks, were also caused by this.
Considered a great mathematician by his people, who are known for their mathematical prowess, he was considered to be part of the Body Calculus, Yag'Dhul's ruling government. However, Crat spoke derisively of them, calling them armchair generals and lacking ambition. He decided to prove himself as an explorer. Having discovered several hyperspace lanes by the time he was 25, he expanded into prospecting. This eventually allowed him to start his own company, Crat Moln Consulting, which specialized in exploration, efficiency and strategic analysis.
His journey begins with him forming his corporation and running it. However, his prospecting will eventually lead him to discovering his dark side tendencies and eventually becoming a force user.
