Crafting a Monster

Having other test subjects to dispose of, a team of men carrying a hover cart of various mangled bodies came out to the spot to where they had dumped his body. But they soon realized that there was nothing to be found. No Jak, no nothing. "Do we call this in?!" one of the men said looking around for a body to confirm the man was dead. They didn't know what to make of it, one minute he was dead and now his body was missing. Another man sighed and lite up a cigarette. "Nah, an Atrisian tiger must of nabbed his ass, they are all over this forest." convincing the man that he was dead they began to dig shallow graves for the dead men and women. Little did they know what was with them @[member="Jak Sandrow"]

Jak Sandrow

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
Jak awoke.

...uhnnn.... must've been a good exper - where am I? Why -nng- can't -nng- I move?

He saw some other people there, and called for help. At least, he tried to, but his mouth was glued shut. He tried waving his arms, but they wouldn't move. Am I frozen in carbonite?

As a medteam passed him, a shiny surface went by his face. Only... there was nothing there. Just.... a sapling...

Ahhh... it was indeed a rousing success, then... Let's begin phase two, shall we? he thought, as he began to move his body - finally. A branch tapped one person on the shoulder, as another branch wrapped around someone else's ankle....
...

It was over in seconds. The massacre had taken no time at all, and the bodies of the freshly dead medteam and the recently dead bodies lay strewn about the yard.

The moving sapling suddenly shuddered. Reverting to the form of Jak Sandrow, he clutched his head, suddenly realizing he had murdered all these innocent people. "What.... what's wrong with me? What... what have I done???"

He turned his gaze to the facility. Therein lay his hatred, and he began to shift and change yet again, this time taking on a fungi growth, creeping along the walls of adjacent buildings.

---

He hung, suspended over the facility, having managed to get in.

Dropping to the ground, he walked up behind the elderly lady. "Ahem."

Marie turned around as soon as she heard the man's voice. That's all she needed to know to open fire. Grabbing her small slug thrower from her pocket she fired a few rounds directly at Jak before backing up a few feet. She had no retort or words to say to him when it came to her life being on the line. She had so much work to do still and she wasn't getting any younger, she still had to make sure her children lived and fought in battle like the warriors they were. Continuing to aim and fire, she emptied the whole fifteen round magazine at the plant man @[member="Jak Sandrow"]

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
[Not godmodding here, we had discussed this.]

The slugs seemed to crawl past his body as he bent and twisted around into his sapling form, taking a round here and there. In this form, he was able to see things in slow motion, it seemed.

Dodging all but three bullets (which did no more than graze), he formed a thin blade of plant matter, and with a sickening crunch, jammed it up to the hilt in her chest, right through her lung.

Ripping it out, turning his back on the gurgling woman slumped on the floor, he made his departure of the lab, and left for places unknown.

Marie hit the deck with an awful thud, she had been hit and hit bad. In her say old age this would prove to be a more than fatal encounter. Holding her hand to her wound a security team came forward and fired at the plant monster. Grabbing and carrying Marie away she needed to be put into stasis as soon as possible if she were to survive.

"Nobody cares for the woods anymore."
He whipped a few plant daggers at the forces behind him, and mauling his way through the people in front, he managed to get out with little more than scrapes.

Making it to the woods again, he took his leave of the facility, and, mere hours later, was spaceborne.
