Cracked

It was probably the first time she truly, desperately wanted to see something. She wanted to see all these amazing colours everybody was speaking of; she wanted to experience the same thing everybody else could. But unfortunately, she was unable to. She had to remain completely clueless of what was going around her and there was no way to change that.

It was one of these very rare occasions when Ellya wanted to be able to see.

She tried to get herself out of the group of people who were looking at the fireworks, but it was not quite easy. There was a huge amount of them and navigating through them was difficult even to her, not even talking about how impossible it was for Ciarre and Seeyeh to get through.

"Excuse me," she said to a person who kept blocking her way. It felt as if he had literally no respect for the blind girl. The people who saw were ignorant. And rude.

The man didn't react. She was sure he didn't even hear her -- the banging caused by the fireworks was too loud; it was extremely noisy around the place. Thankfully, Seeyeh realised what was going on and gave the man a little bit of a zap.

After that moment, he did notice the group of three was trying to escape the place and he did step aside. "Sorry," he muttered, even though Ellya was rather sure he didn't mean it.

But she was not a person who would be angry with somebody for too long. There was no need for behaving like that.

The rest of the journey outside the huge bunch of people went slightly easier. Of course, Ellya had to take a lot of breaks to wait for her two companions, but in general, after the man got out of the way, escaping became a lot easier.

As soon as she was out, she took a seat on a grassy hill. It was the only place where the group had not expanded yet. And it made Ellya feel a lot better.
