• Description: The Coven of Equilibria is a relatively new force tradition that is a group of neutral force-using Warlocks and Witches. A Sith Lord Sorcerer, an Elder Dathomir Nightsister, and an exiled Jedi Master worked together, while in captivity, to develop a new force tradition that has tribal elements, a respect for life and nature, but is accented with both dark side and light side powers using witch magicks.

The Coven of Equilibria is made up of different force traditions across the galaxy. Once the force sensitive member undergoes the Rite of Purification with the help of Elders and Spellweavers, the force user is able to access the Equilibria magicks, but as a result, the connection to the planets is permanent and they lose their abilities from the previous tradition. The only way it can be reversed is to undergo the Rite of Denouncement, which requires many Elders for it to be successful.
Total control and suppression of emotion is impossible once “Purified”. The raw power of the Force that they have access to has a primal strength to it that is too intense to resist. On the flip side, if control is no exercised, the Force of the Equilibria will burn the force user from the inside out. This is why Sith and Jedi that undergo the Rite of Purification have a much harder time than those of other traditions due to the extremes in their existence.
• Climate
The members of the Coven of Equilibria possess a balanced outlook with simple needs. Many of them take up a tribal lifestyle as hunters and gatherers. Hunting is a big part of the Coven of Equilibria’s tradition. The sharing of tales, gifts, talismans and many other shamanistic ways are a part of the Coven’s culture. While they use technology as needed, it is not a major part of the way they live.
It is a tribal/family atmosphere. Families are prevalent in the coven. Those that are gifted with the Force are put through the Rite of Purification and taught the ways of the Coven. If there are those who are not force sensitive, they are not treated any different.
• Reputation
While they are a bit “darker” than the other traditions, they are still much more of a neutral/gray faction than dark side. They are relatively unknown.
• Curios
Tattoos are common among the Coven of Equilibria. Trinkets and talismans are also commonly seen worn by members. Perhaps the most distinguished feature of the Coven of Equilibria is the shoto lightsaber and light whip used in Florentine together. Any kyber crystal attuned to its user has the orange appearance of molten lava, both the light whip and the shoto. The shoto is wielded in the offhand with an inverted grip.
• Rules
The Force tends to self-govern members of the Coven of Equilibria. If they allow the Force to take complete control of their emotions, they will die. If they try and suppress their emotions, brain damage will slowly start to occur. It is a delicate balance that gives leniency to either side, but it is the extremes that are dangerous.
Respect of your Elders is expected. This does not mean do not disagree with them—it simply means be respectful when you do.
Only kill when you must. It does not have to be self-defense. Executing a dangerous criminal is perfectly acceptable to the Coven of Equilibria—after all, eye for an eye is the essence of balance.
• Goals
They wish to continue to explore the “Equilibria”, which is the iteration of the Cosmic Force they draw upon. They wish to grow their tribes and expand beyond Binaros. Another goal, in some ways, is to be left alone…

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Coven of Equilibria is not an old tradition. Its roots can only be traced to 5 years ago. It all began with a large medical company called Midnight Medical Solutions (MMS). This large conglomerate of medical companies merged into one, financed their research and development department with commonplace bacta solutions and equipment across the galaxy. Innovation in bacta research has been a large focus of theirs for decades. In fact, they have often been accused of illegal experimentation in the pursuit of the “miracle solution”.
One such illegal research facility was nestled on Binaros, taking over the dilapidated and abandoned Imperial research facility from centuries ago, merged with an ancient temple from millennia past. MMS was capturing force users of different traditions and forcing them to work on these bacta concoctions, infusing their abilities into the solutions. MMS, due to the dangers of having a force user in captivity, utilized special harnesses on the necks of each force user, specifically designed for the force tradition it suppressed. For example, a Dathomir witch had a specific collar affixed to her neck that prevented drawing from the power of the force drawn from ichor, effectively suppressing her abilities. When they worked, the collar was deactivated and at the first sign of something “untoward”, they would turn it back on and torture the offender.
As such, MMS deigned to throw a Dathomir witch Elder, an exiled Jedi Master, and a Sith Lord sorcerer in the same prison cell. With the collars affixed and active, suppressing their specific gifts, they were not concerned about the intermingling. For space, they were put together in one holding chamber. The weeks turned to months with the trio in captivity. As MMS got closer and closer to their “miracle solution”, the trio knew they would more than likely be executed when they were not needed anymore—others like them, that proved to not be useful, were executed.
For months, the trio spoke about philosophy, life, and the Force. They all began to find common ground on a philosophy and tradition that was neither evil nor righteous. It was decidedly a neutral outlook on the Force, akin to many of the philosophies of Gray Jedi—but their ideas were decidedly not Jedi...or witch…or Sith.
As time passed, the trio began to sense a connection to the planet of Binaros. It was a deep connection to the heavenly body itself, the living Force from deep within the core of the planet. Late one night, the three decided to tap into this mysterious aspect of the Force that they felt. Using a ritualistic circle created by the Dathomirian witch, the trio held hands and began to use their combined energies to draw upon this iteration of the Cosmic Force.
Orange energy began to crackle along the trio’s body. Their eyes began to glow an orange hue. With the collars tailored and programmed for each tradition, the trio now found themselves unbound and able to draw on the force. It was raw, primal and wild. Continuing to hold the hands of the Sorcerer and the Witch, it took the exiled Jedi to soothe the emotions of the other two traditions. The Force was so primal in its manifestation, it threatened insanity and forced raw base instincts. But the Jedi held their minds together, full of clarity. The Sith Sorcerer was the first to be able to manifest the Force from the planet, incinerating the metal bars that imprisoned them. What happened next was a blur, but within an hour, every living sentient that belonged to Midnight Medical Solutions was dead. The three force users stood alone at the research facility. Instead of going their separate ways, the trio decided they would continue to experiment with their newfound connection to the Living Force. Years passed as the three lived off the land, merged philosophies and became their own coven…
It was a balance between the dark side and the light side. However, this Coven of Equilibria tapped into the primal nature of the land and the raw power of the Force.
Recently, the Coven of Equilibria has separated itself from the Outer Rim Coalition.

THE FORCE AND THE COVEN OF EQUILIBRIA
Aside from years of exploring their connection to the Binaros, they visited other planets and began to tap into the Force that came from the core of those worlds. They discovered that on planets that were unblemished by civilization, their connection to the Force was immense. It was stronger than any of their previous traditions. However, a planet such as Coruscant, proved that the connection was weakened a great deal. In space, their connection to the Force was barely existent. If engaged in combat, the Coven of Equilibria would have a tremendous advantage on an uncivilized planet. However, if in space, they would be at a decided disadvantage.
The raw power destructive power of Sith Sorcery is one facet of this tradition, able to draw upon the emotional energy that can bolster the magicks. This combines with the control and contentment of Jedi. In this philosophy is a universal respect for life, but the Coven does not hesitate to kill when threatened. The ritualistic nature of the Nightsister Magick lays the foundation for the Coven. Using the foundation of the Dathomirian traditions, the trio have developed their own rites and talismans for this tradition. It is a blend of Nightsister Magick and Sith Sorcery, tempered by the exiled Jedi Master.
Like the Nightsisters of Dathomir, they have a visible effect in their drawing upon the Force. Specifically, it is orange-hued energy. Its appearance eerily appears like molten lava. There is even a tactile effect of heat when drawn upon.
EQUILIBRIA FIGHTING STYLE
This fighting style is a combination of the Sith’s prolific use of the shoto lightsaber, the Dathomir witch’s lightwhip and the defensive techniques, including the inverted grip from the Jedi Master. This fighting style is simply referred to as the “Equilibria Style”. The three of them developed this style over the years and is taught to its members. The style emphasizes speed and aggressive counter attacks. The kyber crystals undergo their own Rite of Purification, which produces a smoky, sparking orange hued crystal. These crystals are used in the shoto and the lightwhip.
