The meeting room was spacious, liberally festooned with comfortable chairs and snack foods. It centered on a holoprojector, and a throne.

There was no other word for it. Padded black leather, high-backed, at the base of the holoprojector so that Ashin could face the entire room. She wore a black button-up and slacks, nothing severe or formal.

"Ladies and gentlemen," she said, the picture of dead calm, "I will confront Darth Moridin three days from now in his palace on Dromund Kaas. For most of you, your function should be obvious: Prevent outside intervention. Others of you have more specialized functions; for example, Prince Radon Mont will be involved at his discretion, but the majority of his role will be administrative, after I've successfully defeated Moridin. I've spoken to all of you individually. Now is the time for you to meet each other and work through whatever you need to work through in order to be effective in three days' time."

Radon stood. Seating himself in front of these people would be a crime to his sanity. All of them were, technically, beneath him. For the sake of his goals he saw fit to maintain this new role, working with Ashin, not for her. He might not be the one to officially lead the faction, but without his assistance, know how, and political skill she would certainly have future troubles. Fortunately for her, he had made a point of keeping his identity secret when it came to his more unsavory actions. That meant that he was still free to come and go as he pleased, especially since the galaxy knew him as nothing more than the Prince of Falleen. He was not a Sith, nor was he a Dark Jedi. Standing square in the middle, there was no reason for anyone to suspect a thing. Ashin knew, though. That was why she had come to him.

Fortunately for them, he stood in the back. And he said nothing, nor did he nod his head or anything, when his name was spoken. This was Ashin's show, and, as mentioned, most of his involvement in this would come after the defeat of Moridin. The defeat of one and the installment of another, with his new role, was just too delicious to pass up. He was going to make the most of this opportunity. Under the circumstances he'd chosen to leave Lenne on Falleen at the palace because he didn't want anyone involved in this to see Lenne as a potential weakness to exploit with him. She grew more and more pregnant with each passing day. It was better to keep her, and the child within her, safe. His eyes passed over those present, studying them, looking for weaknesses and intricacies that he could one day exploit. Even their number was not without plotters. Some day it would be him where Ashin stood.

Anaya had found herself and comfortable little chair with low arms that allowed her to sit sidewards, her bare feet twitched as she scanned the people in the room around her. Spencer, Darren and Sirella she had met before, even the Mandalore she had met in passing on the battle field at Junction. The fact that Ashin had lured him in only made her respect the woman more and made her wonder just how much grief he was getting from his men for agreeing to help in the first place. Perhaps they didn't even know, perhaps he had failed to tell them. She didn't really care too much, it just amused her to throw around if, buts and maybes.

The others, Anaya knew nothing about and given the chance she would keep it that way but Ashin seemed somewhat keen on the idea that differences be resolved. With a quiet sigh she twisted to sit in the chair properly and not seem like a petulant teenager who would rather be anywhere else but here. She scanned all of them again, debating who was better to start with, the Jedi girl or the Dark Jedi who had given her the impression he hated the Sith...

Sirella Valkner

Because I'm a plant.
Sirella laughed and walked in circles around the room. She approached the seated twi'lek and ran a finger across one of her lekku sending pulses of pleasure into her nerve center. Her smile broadened as she continued her circle examining the others as best she could. She came upon Mandalore and walked up behind him, wrapping her arms around him. "I knew you'd come," she said. "Ashin may have had her doubts, but I knew it was an offer too good to refuse." She had slept with this man for Ashin's sake. Her former apprentice, and perhaps her only friend, would sit upon the throne. It was inevitable really, afterall Sirella knew her friend, knew that she had been trained well in the art of politics and manipulation. She had a plan, as simplistic as it was, and with these assembled here there was little doubt it would succeed. "Soon we in this room will be some of the most influential people within the Empire. It just feels like rain on a sunny day doesn't it?" Sirella was a plant. where as meat might not find that type of day particularly appealing for a plant it was just the best.

Darren didnt take chances with the Sith. He wore his armor even though it was a meeting supposedly between people who wanted the same things. Moridin be dead. Darren had fought him before and wondered why Only Ashin would be going in alone? Darren fought Mordin when he was an apprentice. He had some experience in his fighting style. He didnt want the Throne of the Sith. All he wanted was his mother. And he expected some help if he was to do this for the Sith master. he was a weak little thing that charged into battle without thinking about one damn thing, but he had learned from that with his battle with Moridin and Daxton.

Darren looked around to see alot of people he had seen before. some he had never seen at all. he knew of what happened between the Sith plant and the Mandalore leader of the Mandalorians. He just shook his head when the Plant came over and started to talk to the large man. He could clearly see that he was a man to beat. Darren looked up at Ashin when she finished speaking.

Darren looked at her with a look that said "I will talk to you later about all of this." He stood up and looked around again to see if there was anybody that he might talk to. The closest he could possably talk to would be Spencer, Ashin, or the Mando. And he wasnt in the mood for talking. he walked over to the back of the room and stood alone. Waiting for the time to leave.

Anaya shuddered as Sirella ran a finger across her lekku, a small gasp escaping her. She glowered at the woman's back as she moved to the Mandalore, she had to admit that she was a little more than intrigued by the seductress, she stirred something in Anaya, but she was not fool enough to allow her lust to control her decision's.

Clad in armour Darren made his like for the situation very clear. Her anger spiked and she rose slowly moving to stand directly in his line of sight. "We have come together to show our support for Ashin in peace. Yet you wear you armour, because you fear that we might attack you. Your lack of faith concerns me Darren." Her tone verged on threatening and was loud enough to be heard by everyone, regardless of what conversation they were having. Her fingers twitched, itching for her saber to give the fool a real reason to hate the Sith, out of respect for Ashin she did not. "Why don't you take off your armour?"

Darren laughed outloud as the Twi'lik asked him about his armor. he shook his head and said so everybody could hear. "Its not that I lack faith. Its a matter of trust. I trust Ashin and Spencer, possibly the Mando, but you other Sith? No. I dont take off my armor for people who have taken something of mine." Darren made it very clear in his voice that he didnt like the Sith. He almost spat the name of the faction. Darren didnt work with people that stole things from him. "No if you would be so kind as to leave me alone like I was I would be greatfull And by the looks of what happened between you and the Plant Sith. Maybe you should go and talk to her."

Darren kept his arms folded showing no respect for the Twi'lik Anaya. With his words he knew that he might have angered her, but he didnt care. The only thing he cared about right now was getting the job done so he could rescue his mother. and the only people who knew about his trials was Ashin. And he didnt expect her to spill his secret unless he wanted her to.

Emberli had been the last to arrive, as he'd been held up at every checkpoint by overzealous Sith who thought the man was out of place. To be fair, he was, but he had clearance to be here and it had taken some coercion at every stop to get them to actually verify that he did.

Heads had turned, unsurprisingly, when he'd come in, and he could hardly say it hadn't been expected.

But when he felt arms around his waist from behind, he hadn't needed to look down to know who owned that purr of a voice that always seemed a breath away from a moan. Sirella. "Ashin had no doubts that I'd be here...", the man rumbles, back and chest shaking to accommodate the surprising bass he managed in such a quiet voice.

There's a pause as the giant of a man considers something. "It feels like the end of an era.", he finally says.

OOC: By invitation of Ashin Varanin…

IC:

The room was nondescript, filled with chairs, tables, holoprojectors; it was like any number of conference rooms spread throughout the galaxy, and so he paid it little heed. Ashin Varanin had only included it in the briefing packet because she knew that he appreciated attention to detail. He was rather particular about the details. He liked to know what resources he had at his disposal if things were to turn south and even something as mundane as whether or not the chairs had been upholstered in authentic or artificial leather might prove relevant in a combat situation.

That, and Ashin knew him well enough to know that if she didn’t provide the information, he would find out eventually. And Ashin did not want him snooping about.

The room was nondescript, and so he filed that observation away. It was really the room’s occupants that caught his attention. He couldn’t see them, not in the visual spectrum at least, but he could see them just the same. Their life auras glowed brightly, like beacons in a sea of tumultuous Force energies. The Forcers in that room were powerful, to put it mildly, and the non-Forcer was just as great, in his own field of expertise.

This was a room of power, and a room he didn’t want to disturb. It wasn’t that he was afraid for his own safety (he was reasonably confident that he could best most if not all of them in single combat), but that with power came great egos. He did not want to become associated with these people because they would be absolutely full of themselves and full of desire to accomplish “great” things that were great and relevant only in their own minds. He did not like that. He preferred down-to-earth ideals, missions that were accomplishable and would actually affect change for the greater good. He did not like assisting power and warmongers.

And so, it was with that sense of trepidation that Asemir Lor’kora, Fist of the Emperor, Commander of Null Regiment Prime, Ghost Commando, Forgotten, Slayer of Men, Women, and Children, Killer of the Cult of Shadow, did not enter the conference room. Instead, it was simply Asemir Lor’kora, friend of Ashin Varanin, who stepped into the room.

Asemir Lor’kora. Clad in a simple robe that hid his Specter armor. The Forgotten slipped into the back, silently, and gave his nod towards Ashin Varanin. He was here, and that was enough.

Ashin's eyes brightened as her old friend and fellow Cult traitor entered the room. She and Asemir had infiltrated Arcanix together, fought the Cult on Trevel'ka...

Many memories.

For the moment, however, she remained silent.

Anger pulsated of Darren at his comments, oh how her fingers itched to take her saber in hand and deal with him the best way she knew she could, but she could sense Ashin's look and she resisted. "You are a fool Darren. You fight to raise Ashin to rule the sith, yet you hate all of us and because of what? Because some idiot stole from you? Your hate makes you more one of us that you even realise."

She turned away from him and returned to her chair, slumping into it like a petulant teenager. "You can't be efficient if you don't respect who your fighting with. A little respect makes the difference between delfecting a strike from you and ensuring its success." She looked once More at Darren "Is that so much to ask for?"

Asemir watched politely as the occupants of the room quarreled. Another reason why he disliked these meetings. Big egos meant differing opinions and misplaced senses of self-worth, and that meant petty arguments. The Forgotten sighed inwardly.

He glanced up and caught Ashin’s eye, and read the irritation and thoughts that matched his. +How is it you keep getting caught up with megalomaniacs?+ he telepathed to her, his mental message carrying a careful mix of jest and seriousness.

Darren laughed. Thats all he could do right now. "you think I am more like a Sith? You are wrong on that." Darren walked over to Anaya "I fight for Ashin because I trust her. I trust that she has plans for others that may help me later. SO yes i fight for her rule." Darren moved to stand infront of the Twi'lik he was going to face someone when he would talk to them. "Yes you may think that the person stole some weapon of mine. but it is more than just a weapon. It is family. So back off of me." Darren was about to walk away she he turned to face here again. "And i do respect the Sith. They are people who are not to be trifled with. But i only show respect to those who have earned it." Darren raised his had to where Ashin was standing "Ashin has moved herself up the ranks of the Sith empire so I show my respect. I also show respect to Sirella, because she too is a master." Darren lowered his hand and then pointed his finger at Anaya "You on the other hand I dont show respect. Because I dont trust you. I dont know you. you may want to take your blade and cut my head clean off. But you wont get very far in life if you try." Darren had already pissed the Twi'lik off and he was seeing of he could do more.

He was already thinking about grabbing one of his sabers if she lept at him from where she sat. And it would be true. The sith would be very hard pressed to defeat him. He final saw a person standing in the back of the room. Most likely another Sith master. he grumbled to himself about how many sith were here. Darren moved to the back of the room where he was standing before. he looked at Ashin and knew that he had crossed the line. he probably shouldnt have said those things because he had now exposed himself. She was right he was becoming more sith like every time he was around them. but he didnt care soon he would get his mother back and he would go home to drop out of this war.

Spencer had appeared at this meeting in a pale blue dress that hung just above her knees. She took advantage of the moment to wear something that was the farthest from the Jedi tunic she usually wore. Her shoulders were bare, but she wore a light sweater shall to cover the skin that she showed. The girl showed off her girlish figure and it made her look younger than she actually was. She twirled a bit as she stood near Darren. Spencer was obedient and listened to Ashin; she promised the man would protect her if anything were to happen.

The twi’leks came over and Spencer quickly put up her guard. The woman liked to flinger emotions around like it was her job. It usually worked Spencer pretty harshly and right now the poor Padawan was feeling the coming onslaught of anger and rage. Taking a deep breath, the blonde held it she wanted to try and block everything out. She wasn’t good at it; she felt everything and the conflict between them.

Taking her exit she moved towards Ashin. The woman was calmer and Spencer could feel her own emotions again. Looking over at Ashin, a smile crept over her face as she remained silent next to the dark Jedi.

Ashin stood.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I expect silence now, please. Thank you.

"I've just been informed that another Dark Master seeks to make a claim on Moridin's throne. We need to accelerate our plans. I will not have this tainted by petty confrontations and grudges. From this moment on, you work together.

"I'm leaving now for Dromund Kaas. Either come with me, or take your own vessels. Mandalore, I understand this will make your part of the bargain difficult to uphold; uphold it to the best of your ability, given the new time constraints, and I will hold to my side of the bargain."

She departed.
