Counter Strike (Krest)

Coruscant
Highrise Tower not far from the Sith Temple
Valtryx's Personal Training Room
The buzzing and whirring of a lightsaber filled the personal training room of Darth Valtryx. A flash of red skillfully used to strike her target. That target was only a training dummy, of course, but soon she was to practice a new form against a real opponent; Darth Ferus. Ever since he had returned to the Sith she had been eager to learn from him, as he was the key to her growing in power. Through him she could learn the skills she needed to crush any who would stand in her way on the rise to supremacy. Their first lesson since a long time ago would be on Djem So, the fifth form, and one focused on creating an opening in one's opponent then striking. For too long Valtryx had relied solely on Ataru in her lightsaber combat, and now it was time to branch out.

And so she waited for the Zabrak, practicing on her training dummy in the mean time...

"I hope you didn't have to wait long." Ferus's voice rang out through the room as he stepped in. As ever, his signature was non existent, simply a habit now for his skills with art of the small. Both hands were clasped behind his back as he offered a simple bow of his head to the girl. "Impressive as always however. I assume you've gotten use to your new body then?" On his hips were his two sabers, as one could expect. He was here to teach, but he couldn't help but talk to her first.

The lightsaber came to a halt, as Valtryx turned to see the Zabrak had arrived. "Not at all," She smiled, spinning her now deactivated lightsaber in her hand. "It feels like I've had it for years." Her eyes scanned down herself at her form, nodding. "How are you finding it on Coruscant. I trust everyone's treated you will since your return." The red-head turned, waving her spare hand in the air. With that action the clutter of training equipment that had congregated in the center of the room cleared towards the outer edges, making adequate space for a practical lesson. Once it was clear, she stood at the other side, ready for the lesson that would come after their talk.

"Decent enough I suppose. I won't complain, that much is true." The Zabrak would move his way to the opposite side of the ring, pulling free his golden lightsaber. The blade would burn to life, it's unique flat bladed style waving side to side as Ferus rolled his shoulders. Once he was finished with his little stretch however, he would bring both of his hands above his head, holding the saber in the two handed grip. His feet would be evenly spaced, with the dominant right foot slid forward just a bit. He would nod once to [member="Darth Valtryx"].

"Shall we begin?"

Valtryx ignited her crimson red blade once again, spinning it in front of her in some form of display. After that she would assume a copycat stance of Ferus'. With her lightsaber held with both hands above her head and an evenly spaced footing, she would give him a nod. "Monkey see, monkey do." She smirked, charging forward immediately towards him despite her comment. Spinning her lightsaber once again, she then lunged forward with a horizontal slice, her aim to catch him off-guard, although she knew it would be unlikely. Realistically, she expected him to use the opportunity to begin teaching her.

A smirk formed on the Zabrak's face as [member="Darth Valtryx"] came running. Ever aggressive, she was about to learn something rather important about the stance the Zabrak had made. It lead into an overpowering overhead strike. His form would slide back as her strike came in, letting it pass just an inch from his red chest before he stepped forward. With his right leg planted, he would bring his golden saber down with the cap of strength he could muster, be it his own or the Force. It was a simple tactic by Djem So, and a quick path into an all out assault.

Realizing her fault, Valtryx whipped her blade upwards in an attempt to deflect the strike. However it was too powerful to simply glance off, and so instead the strike forced her down to the floor. There she tried to push against the down-coming lightsaber from a kneeling position, but she could not simply force it back. Instead she performed a small twist, freeing herself from under the blade, albeit in a shaky manner. Once she had regained her balance and was on her feet, she assumed a more defensive stance. The attack had definitely taught her to not constantly go on the offensive. "I was just testing you," She smirked, brushing off her mistake ineffectively.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"Keep telling yourself that." A wink came from the red man to [member="Darth Valtryx"] before he moved himself back to the starting stance, rolling his shoulders. "Part of Djem So is to make an opening and strike. Now, after my swing, I should of continued, pressed on wards and pushed you off balance until you simply could not keep up anymore. Keep that in mind, aye?" spreading his feet, he would charge in this time, only as he stepped forward he would bring his blade down to his left, and rip it up and across from her left leg to her right shoulder.

Valtryx nodded, readying herself in her defensive stance. "Try me." She smirked. As the attack came, her blade shot down to meet his to her right and continue the motion, attempting to push the blade aside. With this she then initiated a counter, spinning around whilst keeping the side his saber was still on protected, before whipping out with her blade at his right hand side; a fluid counter attack. Her aim was to keep his blade distracted in time to catch him off guard, but whether it worked or not was down to his reactions.

As she would spin, his foot would come up to kick her right in the rump. Using the push, he would leap backwards ,flicking his saber upwards in a neutral two handed grasp. The golden blade hummed as he grinned,offering the faintest of winks. "Careful about spinning, leaves your back open."

This of course, is what would happen if the kick connected.

[member="Darth Valtryx"]

The kick did indeed connect, leaving Valtryx with a sore back. Her confident facial expression was now a frown, and the red-head seemed to be more concentrated on the fight now. No longer could she be cocky, she had to prove she could do this and learn the form. Resuming her defensive two-handed stance, she awaited another attack from her opponent. She said nothing, determined to succeed.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"And if course, always be able to predict the unknown." Krest would keap forward this time, bringing his golden blade down in his off hand, the left made of flesh. While this was easily predictable as he went through the air, his metallic arm would come around, and a snap hiss could be heard. His palm saber sprang to life, and with his golden blade coming down, his palm would shoot out, aiming for one of her thighs.

Valtryx's lightsaber came to block Ferus' with ease, yet only with the help of the force did she see his palm saber coming. Thinking fast, she attempted to push his main lightsaber aside for a moment, giving her the time to spin it up to catch the palm saber. If successful, she would guide the palm saber over herself and towards his other saber, hopefully opening up his right hand side. Knowing she had to do this fast, she pulled back her blade from holding his back and used it to slice at his right side, but also stepped past him as well so that any retaliation from his blades would have to go further and therefore give her time to block again. A risky play, one which she hoped she had timed well enough.

Blue eyes would blink for a moment as his right arm was grabbed and moved. In fact, there was shock all over the mans face as [member="Darth Valtryx"] moved him. It was unexpected, and contradicting his earlier statement he had not expected it. This very well could of ended with the Zabrak in half, if not for his right arm itself. Tearing it back down, he would go to catch the blade along the durasteel coating. While this would end with the saber cutting through, it would find beneath Cortosis ore.

This was all he could do in such a position. While it would shut off her saber on contact, she only needed to flick her blade and find herself in a better position to end his own life.

Valtryx smirked for a second as her move had for the most part succeeded. However, she did not drop her senses and noticed the arm coming up. It was at that moment she knew she had the chance to kill the Zabrak. The man she had once loathed, the man who people she knew would want dead for certain. A good price would be paid for his head...

Yet instead she disabled her lightsaber, flicking her hand forward and releasing a push with the force to make enough distance between them to prevent an immediate reaction attack. From their she just tilted her head. "I had you there, but wouldn't want you getting hurt." She said, giving another smirk. "Again."

[member="Darth Ferus"]

A barrier would shimmer around his form as the push came, and a wide grin formed on his face. "So you did, or so you think." He would of slid a distance away, only to stand back up in a neutral stance once again. "I don't think going again is needed though. You've already proven your skill and understanding. Now its just more of repeating the actions again and again until they become instinct. Make sense?" Blue eyes would watch [member="Darth Valtryx"] , a smile on his lips. She was beautiful when she tried to kill him, or pointed out that she could of.

"Perfect sense." Valtryx smiled back, spinning her lightsaber's hilt in her hand before slotting it in it's holster. "I need to talk to you." Her voice became slightly more serious, yet not too grave. She turned and walked towards the large window overlooking Coruscant's cityscape, joining her hands behind her back. "About your enemies." She continued, her head turning slightly towards Ferus. "And how we're going to deal with them when the time comes."

[member="Darth Ferus"]

A faint smile formed on the Darth's lips as he moved over to Valtryx, positioning himself right behind her. He would rest his chin atop her head, just looking out to the city. "I'll do as I always have done. Break them and make them into an ally, or kill them." He spoke rather plainly, almost with a bored expression on his face. "I started as a Templar mind you. We kill those who won't back down."

[member="Darth Valtryx"]

"You know who I mean though, don't you?" Her mind drifted to Alex and her Order. Vulpesen and his allies. No matter what their personal opinions of Ferus or Valtryx might be, they would no doubt fight against them if Alex wished. "I don't think Alex knows about my transformation." She turned around to look straight up at the zabrak. "Should I keep it that way? We could always strike first, or we could lay low." A slight pause came, as she looked downwards for a moment. It was a tough decision. "I have to become stronger. Powerful enough... Then I will kill Alex..." Her voice was definite now. Her mind had been made up.

[member="Darth Ferus"]

"Alex is the leader of a flawed order. An order I plan to take advantage of at a later date. But it is not something we need to worry about, for now at least." He would wrap his arms around her waist, simply pulling her into a slight hug. "Asides, I plan to work with your master and another to possibly remove another threat close to Alex. If that works out, Alex certainly won't be a threat."
