Unsurprisingly to the wider galaxy...

Jacen lost in the Kaggath. But he gave it his all, he put on a show, and victory...let's be honest, was probably bribed away from him. It was the only thing that made sense. He made gods bleed. He wounded the 'best bounty hunter' in the galaxy, and would likely have killed him if the fight went on. Of course he would have. Victory was stolen from him.

And so, he did the only thing he could think to do. He made a call.
The implant Vakhari had implanted in his head likely kept him alive during that brutal fight. And even though all present would know that Jacen should have won, it clearly wasn't enough. More would need to be done. This stimulant she mentioned before, to start.
But Jacen didn't want to meet her in her spooktacular house of butchery. Not right now. He needed something good to drink. Something warm, something sweet. Medicine for his pride.. And that came in the form of a coffee shop on Terminus. He made the call and invited the good doctor to come join him here and perhaps more so then discuss further augmentations for his body, he could get to know her a bit more.

She couldn't be all spookums all the time, could she? What was she like when she wasn't sawing a creature apart, taking something out or putting something in? Was she pleasant? Was that even possible? Or was she just, plainly, the person she presented herself to be? The curiosity ate at him. And if he was going to trust her to go under her knife not only again but in a more complete surgery...he had to know more of who he was working with.

Just a simple coffee meet up. Get to know each other, learn each other's hobbies, likes and dislikes, then discuss how best to turn Jacen into something More than human that can challenge any creature in the galaxy.

A simple conversation that happens every day.

Despite the mire of smog that congested and littered the big city, it was a rather peaceful morning here. Thankfully the rising sun only had just begun to thaw the nightly frost that coated the dotted vegetation, the girl much preferring the chill in the air as opposed to the brutality of the sun against her sensitive flesh.

Ding~

The doorbell chimes as someone new walks into the coffee shop, if it wasn't for her more notable features, Jacen wouldn't have been able to realize who this was at all.

Grey and wooly leg warmers, black skirt, grey top with a black cardigan thrown over. A more casual attire that was a rarity for others to see, for most of the time Vakhari was clad in her more professional attire that boasted a gothic touch.

But today? She looked like anyone, nothing aside from her snowy and soft features was any different from other strangers on the street. You would never know who she was, how she is.. And what she does.

The staff, both fleshy and robotic, didn't even need to take her order. Her drink had been started the moment she walked into the store, perhaps a regular?

"Ah, Mr. Breska?"

She smiles a bit, her face able to only now be seen.

"My workplace too unnerving for you?"

Vakhari jests before taking a seat across from him, there was a darkness under her eyes... A lack of sleep perhaps?

"Jokes aside, I would imagine you are wishing to make a new appointment?"

Her eyes, though stricken with sleeplessness, were still sharp. She was leaning, inspecting where she had last done work on him.

Jacen kept his eyes down, studying the menu of the cafe. He didn't often come to places like this. Nothing so....relaxing. It was either high society restaurants or grungy cantinas with loud music. Never really a middle ground for him. But this place seemed perfect for a place to focus more intently on the conversation then anything else. He'd be too engrossed on enjoying his meal or drinking in any of his other more preferred locales. At least this place had something more soothing to drink then something he had to recoil from.

He hoped she'd like this place, at any rate, as he absentmindedly scratched at the back of his head where she'd cut him.
"Ah, Mr. Breska?"
He raised his head, ready to greet her with a smile on his face that quickly faltered,
"Oh."
His heart skipped a beat as he took her in, and he was sure he looked like he was gawking. Jacen tried to compose himself and stood, "Uh, Ms. Lutris. Hi. Hello." he stammered, then gestured to her seat, waiting until she sat down to follow.
She smiled at him, and it undid something in his chest. Was she always this... human? It was like night and day seeing her like this, out here, not looking at him like he was something to take apart and put back together.

Well, she may have been still looking at him like that. But the way she looked? Not all Sith were bad, right? She looked stunning.

"...Huh?" he blinked, trying to process what she had said. He heard it, definitely. The information was just lagging behind, too focused was he on being enamored by her visage. "Oh. Uh, Well...the way I thought about it, outside of your place of work we could..." he blinked, he had it all figured out in his mind before, what happened?
Jacen shook his head, "Uhm...talk about it. What needed to happen." He stopped and absentmindedly scratched at the scar on his head again, "I figured...if we were at your...lab? That I'd let my impatience get the best of me and would opt to do everything...now I kinda have...restraint."

And he was incredibly disarmed, "But uh....yeah. New appointment. And uh...yeah." He cleared his throat and exhaled forcefully, determined not to let himself stay off guard as he returned his eyes to hers. "I almost didn't recognize you," he said with a smile, "It's nice to see you outside of your work clothes."

She was concerned, obviously. His mind seemed to be having a hard time forming sentences- No, even words. He had scratched at the area she did work on... Did she fail? DID SHE?! The most basic of things, at least for her. The very thought made her pale nose crinkle with a hidden frustration, now was not the time to listen to everything.. How it all picked and pecked at her, every little failure.

Vakhari composes herself, not letting her smile or chipper mood fade. He had mentioned a tournament, creatures always got roughed up in those primal fighting pits. Yes, this was it.. She didn't do anything wrong. The self reassurance calming the easily sparked inner doubts and turmoils the girl faced.

"Are you feeling ok, Mr Breska? You itch at your wound, and your speech shows signs of lowered cognition."

She leans over the table, doing her best to inspect the wound area along with his eyes. Instinctively she reaches for a little pen-light in her purse, about to check his pupils.

"You said you had trouble recognizing me? How long has this symptom been going on? Is anything fuzzy? Any lightheadedness?"

His words seem to have sparked the wrong reaction from her, was it easy to tell she was not much of a social butterfly?

He cleared his throat again, "Yeah I'm alright. No uh...No lowered cognition at all. I don't think."
Jacen's eyes went wide when she leaned over the table, observing him. His face flushed and he stammered again, "Uhh no I'm okay, yeah. I'm...I'm good. I recognize you I just... you look good. I mean, you looked good before." He absentmindedly rubbed his head again and moved his eyes to the side away from her piercing gaze for a moment thinking about how to word it. "I...well...y-...." He shook his head and clicked his tongue, defeated by his failure to fully master the intricacies of flirting with someone who simply didn't understand.

He met her gaze again, "No injuries to report, no damage, no lightheadedness, and no fuzziness. I can see you very very clearly." He smiled, "You can run a check if you need to. The implant is good, no issues besides uh...maybe user error in this moment," he shook his head, a small chuckle escaping his lips, "I didn't call you here to talk about that. Just uh, our future." He paused, "Professionally. Medically. You know. What comes next. Medically....Professionally."

"Uhh no I'm okay, yeah. I'm...I'm good. I recognize you I just... you look good. I mean, you looked good before."

"Oh! Why thank you! Figured I might wanna bundle up just a little since the sun is hardly even up, those morning chills really get to me."
"No injuries to report, no damage, no lightheadedness, and no fuzziness. I can see you very very clearly." He smiled, "You can run a check if you need to. The implant is good, no issues besides uh...maybe user error in this moment,"

She waves off his offer to check, she knew something was going on, but especially she couldn't figure it out. Most could tell, while Vakhari figured the man was just jumpy around her for many reasons... None of them over being a crush.

"No no, I think I am fine not checking. It wouldn't do for me to inspect your flesh and skull right here in this wonderful cafe, or for M0rtis to scramble atop the tables.. Speaking of which."

Vakhari looks around, squinting her eyes. Soon, her droid would scramble into the shop, hiding under the table. For his lateness she would surge his system, making the man scream, yet no one could hear.

"Ah, there you are! Running a little behind I see?"

She says in a chipper tone, letting out a mildly amused huff before returning her attention to Jacen.

"I don't mind to visit this shop instead, I actually visit this place often when I am not busy at the lab. I don't even need to order anymore, just come sit down and wait."

Just as she said, a serving droid would deliver her coffee right on time. The steam dancing around her soft face as she took in the bitter smells, one of the few things you could tell she needed in life.. With the darkness under her eyes and all.
"I didn't call you here to talk about that. Just uh, our future." He paused, "Professionally. Medically. You know. What comes next. Medically....Professionally."

She agrees, nodding her head as she sipped down the hot coffee. Though, she raises a finger in response.

"Mm, correct. And I do believe I have that very next step, I had spent a long time making sure it wouldn't kill you.. At least not painfully."

The girl laughs a bit at her own joke, placing a box on the table. Inside the box would be the main injector, slim, sterile, with a red V adorning it. Alongside it there would be rows of little vials, filled with a crimson liquid.

"Jokes aside, this should be the best of what you requested. Enhancing you while still keeping the actual changes to yourself at a minimum, just don't inject more than one or you will become very nauseous."

Vakhari rests her elbows on the table, letting out a squeak of a yawn.

A serving droid appeared with a drink for Vakhari before they even took Jacen's order. Not that he minded, he quickly lost interest in any drink or such, so when the droid did ask "Order?" He responded simply, "whatever you want," and the droid whirred in acceptance and buzzed off.
He found himself slightly jealous of the patrons and staff around, that they were so used to her presence and visage that her arriving here was nothing of note to them meanwhile the sight of her sent his heart a flutter. They didn't even really seem to mind when the floating skull trickled in after her.

And it seemed that she was completely unaware of the effect she had on him, and any attempt to communicate that was falling flat. Either she was entirely new to it, or he was simply bad at it. It couldn't be the second thing, he thought to himself. Certainly not. So she was just unfamiliar in matters of affection. So how to proceed, then? State it flat out he found her attractive? Would that even work? Was it worth the try? Not right now, he decided, and actually found himself relaxing.

If she didn't realize how he felt, he didn't need to guard himself or what he said. It felt liberating in a way, but stifling in another.

When she placed the box on the table, Jacen waited a moment before taking it, not wanting to accidentally brush against her hand. With anyone else, the gesture might come across as cute. With her...he didn't want to risk how it may come across.
When he did grab the box, he opened it and observed the injector inside.

"You're too sweet to me," he met her eyes and smiled at the mention of the mix not killing him painfully, "I appreciate the work you do. I wish I could show how much," he said, his heart beating faster as he finally tore his eyes off hers and took the injector out of the box, rolling it in his fingers, "Nice...Gotta say I love the look of this. The contrasting red and white..."

"What all does this stuff do?"
He asked as he looked at the red liquid inside the injector, "and all it'll do is make me a bit nauseous if I take more then one?"

His lips pulled into a lopsided grin, tightly pursed together as he bobbed his head back and forth, "Doesn't sound too bad," he added, then returned the injector to it's box.

"You...thank you, Doctor. You've been incredibly kind to me. Unless this is secretly a mind controlling agent and I'll end up your thrall sooner or later," he laughed dryly, his fingers tapping on the box rhythmically. "And how would I go about getting more? Come back to you? Er-see you?"

Any attempt to maintain his composure was also destroyed the moment Vakhari yawned. An impossibly cute sound came from someone who created terrifyingly mind breaking monstrosities on the regular. He couldn't help but smile at the sound, and he covered his mouth as a blush crept across his cheeks.
