Corrupt Artifact

He pulled his blade out of the gut out of a dying Mandalorian who was grasping a Lightsaber. The T-Shape Visor was glaring at the man standing on top of her. The Mandalorian Armor they both had were of black and red colors, they even man still standing even showed the red dripping from his blade. He looked down at the women and dropped the blade as the grip on the Lightsaber loosened and rolled against the ruins floor.

Jaster was not happy to do that to one of his retainer, but this place drove her to a path not recoverable here. He currently stood in the Ruins of the Jedi Temple that were ruined after the siege by the Sith Empire. The Worrier was hired to fix this planet back to a stance of recovery, however, he still needed to explore the one place he deemed dangerous, the old Jedi Temple. Many were killed here, and any Force User who stepped near the place showed anger and rage that was uncontrollable. Being a Force Hunter, Jaster could hold his own, but this was a totally different matter.

One thing that he had hoped for was to get this place cleared out, but also a secrete anterior motive that would prove to be life changing if his Intel was correct.

He turned to take off his helmet and buckle it to his belt. "Damn Eva, even my most experienced Knight is weak to this places," he paused to take a sip of water from his canteen. "Guess their was so much death and anger here that its just overflowing with Dark Side Magic," he put his canteen away and put back on his helmet. The mechanized voice of his voice modifier kicked in, "Best make this quick, even my mind is starting to feel the effects of this place, got to find that artifact."

The Mandalorain paused as he felt the presence of another Force User around, being as he was possibly in a Dark Side Force Nexus it was difficult to tell. He grunted in the general direction he suspected and continued down into the deeper parts of the ruins that would lead him to the ancient Jedi Temple Ruins. He needed to reach the Old Jedi Archives.

Illumination, even in shadow.

Jedi or not, this was a place of great knowledge. Artefact to artefact, it crept from every surface, a shimmering haze; Vilka had to take her hand back, slip out of the Force. It was almost too much to bear for the Acolyte, to feel such great power, Jedi or not. Such a thing was rare. By the Dark Side's very nature, it was almost in excess. The hate in every heart, the sickness in every limb. And yet now, Vilka felt an island in a storm, single blackened pillar amidst the sunlight. Had best leave quickly.

She had come here for good reason- the Baran Do. An ancient Kel Dor order of Jedi, now long swept away. Ashes to time. But she'd long suspected they might hold the key to a deeper mystery. Something invaluable, a thousand years in the making. Sith knowledge was, as expected, sparse. Such orders held little interest for most of her kin, and she could not blame them. Even to look around her, now- it seemed almost the nature of the Jedi, to build so many temples and yet have them fall. History runs in circles, she supposed. Once more, the natural order had revolved, and here she was at its new dawn. Standing amongst the bones.

She stormed from hall to hall, scouring them for the data. She merely sought a curiosity, trivial history, nothing of power, and yet- there. Swiping the datapad, she transmitted the data back to her shuttle. Done. Now all that had to be done was leave. But then she felt it. Another stone in the pond, bruise in the Force. Not a Jedi, no, and fast approaching. Moving, at least. There could be no survivors. No witnesses. With a furious heart, she stormed after the intruder.

The sun had set on this place- now was the new age of dark.

The Mando did not take the time to be stealthy, the force was not fair like that. He used his armor to kick large boulders out of the way that were once symbols of this great place. Now it was a large gravestone for those who were buried here, a mass grave for jedi and sith alike. Too bad he could not have sent them there himself, he chuckled under his breath.

That is when it happened, his HUD picked up movement through the sonar ping and it was fast. As if the vision of the eye could not keep up, as Jaster arms vanished from his side and reappeared in a defensive stance. The man was practically married to death, a familiar friend who always carried its blade to his throat. It was rather interesting to have that feeling here, even his Mandalorain Knights he brought along with him did not make him feel like this. He let his instinct kick in and continued forward.

He stepped into a large room, the ceiling had caved in with only what seemed like bookcases holding the rubble in place. There were tables that looked as though they once carried terminals, now they carried nothing but boulders and wires. He still felt the blade of death hung above his life, there was something in the air. He knew his prize was just near here. From the blueprints he recovered from his dig on Naboo, he found the maps of the Ancient Jedi Temple. Just below the New Jedi Order was that temple, and he was now in their Archives. He continued to hold his blade in a defensive stance as he looked for an active terminal. He needed to slice into the mainframe and get access to the Vault.

Rumbling. Ancient stones, descecrated. Vilka grinned. If nothing else, this intruder appeared to hold just the right reverence for Jedi; she followed the groans, the air that shimmered with hot breath. Invisible trails, leading her through the darkness. A maze of shattered stone, bodies contorted. Jedi, Sith, all things inbetween; death held no preference here. At least she could admire that, she supposed. The fear was an aphrodisiac, black coals upon her heart's furnace; now, she called upon the Art of Movement. Every limb electrified, each breath a rush of blood, she thundered for her prey.

All the shadows, she felt them give way to light, bit by bit; cracks in the ruin, meek sunlight slipping through clothed in gold. Not far now. She heard his chest, the nervous rise and fall, the low-drum beat. Anxious, and yet not unready. His senses, unaffected. A warrior? Few of those to be find in Jedi ruins. Scavengers and fools.

She slowed her approach, naught but a silent silhouette as she neared him. Her eyes slipped shut. The Force was her guide, her ally, and now it would become her weapon. Corrupting its path, she felt her own mind scream out as she began to project a dark fog of Force Fear into the room ahead. The low hum of computers echoed in the open and empty space.

He had to be here, and now she intended that he would feel the true horror of the Dark Side, if he was not too strong to resist.
