THE IMPERIAL TREASURER
AGGADEEN IN THE GALACTIC EMPIRE vol. I
Issue #4 w/ Myra Arceneau Dashiell Myra Arceneau Dashiell Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell

Aggadeen watched as the pair seemed to exchange subtle glances, over his admission that the Galactic Empire was weakened from fighting the Alliance. It was a rare and risky maneuver for an Imperial official, but if they could protect their own transports for the time being then it would allow the Imperial Navy more time to structure itself into a more focused task-force in hunting down Black Sun piracy in the border regions and the core.

Makai Dashiell Makai Dashiell attempted to reframe his concern as a matter of government style, an attempt to deflect from the raw reality of the Empire's current limitations. He mentioned labor camps, a bit of flattery meant to appeal to the assumed brutality of the Imperial government. Camps were inefficient in terms of production especially when rebellion often targets those sites for slave liberation which would hamper the Imperial finances even more.

Myra Arceneau Dashiell Myra Arceneau Dashiell on the other hand accepted his terms, reaffirming their sentiments about stability and the necessity of uninterrupted commerce. There was a weary pragmatism in her tone, a quiet understanding that the day-to-day work of her companies would continue regardless of the grand machinations of governments and militaries.

He leaned forward slightly, his gaze fixed on Makai as he addressed the man's final question. "The COMFEAR document will be quite extensive about how company's are supposed to operate within Imperial Space. There will be little room for further negotiation, Mr. Dashiell as it is a directive from the Imperial Ruling Council. But I can accommodate you where I am able should questions arise during our next meeting."

He then looked to Myra, a flicker of something almost akin to respect in his eyes. "Your commitment to maintaining stability, Mrs. Dashiell, is exactly what the Empire requires. You will not find the Imperial Treasury interfering with your business so long as your business does not interfere with the Empire's."

Aggadeen's demeanor shifted, the meeting now officially concluded. He stood, and the Nova troopers behind him moved in unison, a synchronized display of discipline and power. He offered a final, curt nod to both of them.

"My aide will be in touch with the COMFEAR documents. Good day to you both."
