Coronation of A Queen [Open]

Thousands of voices could be heard crying out in the name of the late Queen of Alderaan more notably Kiyala's mother. Whose death shook Kiyala closer to the core than any other she had ever felt before, her nerves were also noticeably much worse on today. Hands quivering as she smoked in the back room attempting to calm her nerves before addressing the press because the people needed to see a strong leader and not a little girl quaking in her boots because of her lost mother. Her makeup stained her face from tears that only seemed to stop for mere breaks before returning and taking her over once more. She had not allowed any of her assassins or witches here save for a few who were personal friends because she could never afford to look weak. Clenching her fists drawing on anger to take over and purge her of her sadness but it would send off bad vibes to her people so she had to stop.
She knew the answer but was hesitant to do so as she had only attempted to do it in life or death situations but as she bit her lip she allowed Ashla in after so many years. At first it was only the smallest trickle but she could feel the force and knew it would always be their for her. Kiyala felt better and if she was willing to admit it better than she felt in a long time as she stood up; her makeup artist doing another flawless job at repairing and redoing her makeup. She gave the woman a hug while being careful not to rub off on her as well as she told her aide she was ready.
Stepping out on the balcony that overlooked the city she was at first blinded by the light but as she grew accustomed to the sunlight on this dark date did she appear to shimmer in the sunlight. The shimmer was due to the fact that she had a force shield on just in case as assassination attempts had been on the rest as of late. But her general force sensitivity was hidden by the bright and yet totally not gaudy necklace her mother bought her and she since embedded a concealment spell on. She wore a black gown and her make up was styled to make her look mournful and yet with a sense of strength at the same time.
"My people. . . Today as I'm sure you all are aware is a dark day. My mother thankfully and yet painfully died in her sleep while I was briefly off-world handling business on behalf of our safety and protection as a planet. As you know the assassination attempts on the royal and noble houses have been running through our very streets as of late. And I am here to say that today marks a great change due to my coronation. I will take a more active lead in this planet as Queen as well as reforms to the military systems and the monetary systems as I believe our world can prosper a lot more than it has been. I still deeply support our position within the Republic but we will be keeping our interest rather open considering the atrocities we've witness because of the Republic. I will help up become the planet that you, my faithful and loved citizens deserve to live in. . . one safe, secure and full of abudance and wonder. I will be throwing a banquet tonight for our citizens to get a dinner and the rare opporonity to see how the Royal Families, Noble Houses and the Military discuss the future of Alderaan. Thank you all for the well wishes and love notes concerning my mother, I assure you they have been much needed. Until later my people. . . "
With that being said Kiyala waved toward the crowds and offered them an air kiss before leaving the publics view for the solace and comfort of the inner castle. As soon as she was sure a holo camera could not see her she let out a breath and began to crumble once more into her emotions but she would not allow her guest to see her this way either. Standing up in the hallway separating them once more taking a few breath before rejoining her inner sanctum.

Her Force presence reduced to that of a non-Force-sensitive through Qey'tek meditation, her face hidden by a formal hooded cloak, Ashin rose from a seat as @[member="Kiyala Demont"] re-entered her inner sanctum.

"You did well, Kiyala," she said. They'd never been close, but Kiyala had served her more than once, or found common cause with Ashin's people. And now, the Queen of Alderaan had attracted Ashin's attention. "You handled that very well indeed."

She was manifestly not supposed to be here, but nobody seemed to notice that she was out of place. Pale blue eyes, unblinking and not quite human, stared at the young woman. "You've come a long way from the girl Avicus DuSang wanted as a toy -- or even the ship commander who saved Velok's flank at Roche. You grew strong, and I missed it. I'm Ashin Varanin," she said. "You never knew me by this face. I just wanted to stop by and offer a coronation gift."

A flat rosewood box sat on a nearby table; it opened with a gesture, revealing a serrated knife. "This is a Derriphan's Eye," she said. "Essentially indestructible, built for poisoning, relatively easy to conceal in formal wear. A noble's weapon."

It was rather strange when the invitation had come, few knew who she was or where she had come from in the temple. Less cared that she had been from Dathomir or if they did just assumed she was one of the witches and she had tired of correcting them. The idea of explaining that nightsisters were not the witches completely was a long, drawn out thing. That unlike some who claimed she had wounds and scars to show her dedication to the old ways. Meant little to them but someone wiser then her had said you can't have pretty nightsisters, though how someone from Alderaan knew who the hell she was... That was anyone's guess as Lavania walked with her staff tapping on the stone.

"I am here by special invitation." She held out the datapad for the man as the sound of the speech from @[member="Kiyala Demont"] finished and the voice for a moment sounded familiar... She was certain she had heard it before but was unsure while she walked and found a spot to be seated. Allowing someone to lead her inside and not into the path of the people with her headdress decorations clinking same as the staff until she was in a seat and it was silent at her side. There wasn't anything she could sense out of the ordinary yet, that part of her brain that said danger was screaming something was here but then she had danger on stairs when it came down to it.

Kiyala paused for a moment when the woman greeted her as she came into the inner sanctum; when her senses washed over the woman however nothing could be felt. Kiyala smiled at the woman's comments but still found herself puzzled on who she was. Luckily for Kiyala's curiosity the answer to that question came rather quickly and now Kiyala found herself wondering how easy was it for Kiyala to be accessed when she felt like she was pretty secure.

"It is nice to finally meet in person and of course your welcome here. We may not formally know each other but you allowed me to learn of a technique that saved my life so for that you have my appreciation." Taking the time to notice the serrated blade in Ashin's hand, Kiyala face lit up in surprise she was by no means experienced with alchemy but she could tell what use the blade held and then simply because it was a gift was great.

Pausing for a moment to notice the commotion at the entrance to her private chambers, she signaled her officials to allow @[member="Lavania"] into the room.

Ashin's hood rose in an unhurried motion that somehow happened to be just fast enough to cover her identity entirely. Her blue eyes faded to brown in a subtle but, to the informed, impressive display of the branch of Sith alchemy known as Mask. "Of course," she said belatedly. "You've done enough for me and for my people that at least some reward was necessary. That knife is merely a token. I owe you, and I pay my debts."

Her voice strengthened as the hooded woman looked up at Lavania. "And who's your associate?"

The one who came and told her she could go in seemed strange, then she was walking and standing in the room while the familiar albiet brief presence of Kiyala was there. She had met her once briefly and that was usually how much she needed to remember a person by feelings... Usually the other woman in the room she didn't know anything about by sense or smell. Just that she was average. Or pretending to be, seeing how she had met with and faced others who liked to hide their presence it was possible but how could you actually tell such a thing? "I am Lavania formerly of the nightsisters, and thank you for inviting me Kiyala but I am unsure what I am here for?"

The Organa Estate

With one motion of his hand the Holo imagine faded from view. Theo’s stood out of his chair and walked over to the window thinking carefully over the words of her Grace. Looking out over the garden he had normally found comfort in it. He did not today. Everything felt so delicate as the floors in the garden. Events were progressing rapidly cascading together.
