DESCRIPTION
CorelliSpace continues to remain a stable name in the Corellian Sector, building light freighters and other small craft that common in civilian circles in its area of space. Always nipping at the heels of Corellian Engineering Corporation, CorelliSpace seems likely to remain a minor, regional player in the shipbuilding industry, content to let its line of Gymsnor-series Freighters to sell at steady and sustainable rates. Unbeknownst to most people, the event known as "Brokellia" drove the company to secretly and quietly start building starships for more unsavory elements in the OUter Rim and unknown regions. With new benefactors from this expansion, most of CorelliSpace's actual product development has turned to small combat craft, first as uglies and unlicensed copies of legacy designs. Though now, it has started to develop its own small combat craft that have drawn the interest of planetary defense forces and other low volume customers who cannot obtain the latest technology from the more major manufacturers. The company has secretly fallen to and been infiltrated by the Directorate, who uses strategically placed personnel in the company to obtain intelligence and divert the company's products to allied rebels and the Directorate's own false flag forces. A number of company executives within CorelliSpace are also used as intermedaries between the Directorate and factions that it cannot otherwise openly or officially communicate with.

RATIONALE
CorelliSpace has existed in one form or another for hundreds of years, usually lurking in the shadows of Corellian Engineering Corporation, waiting for some fatal event to overtake its massively successfully competitor. However, when Corellia broke in two, CorelliSpace itself was hurt far more than its more diversified rival. Most of the company's facilities were on this world and it consequently suffered severe losses in material and personnel. With few locations outside of Corellia itself, its owners turned to somewhat less than savory (but technically legal) means to keep their company afloat. While its location on Talus continued to build Gymsnor-series Freighters in small numbers, its half-dozen Deep Space Manufacturing Facilities (including Space Station 5843) were shuffled to remote, "lawless" sections of the Outer Rim, where they were tooled to produce uglies and other small craft (often unlicensed copies of other company's designs) for sale to less than legal enterprises, such as pirates, smugglers, freedom fighters, and criminal networks. This successful enterprise soon brought in investment from crime networks which expanded the company's seedier side of operations. This in turn drew the Directorate's attention, as they sought to hunt down criminal enterprises in the Outer Rim. One such "investor" was captured and detained by Directorate forces under Admiral Quee, who quietly appropriated the shares under a false name and a shell company. Subsequent captures of other members of this criminal network saw the Directorate officers own a minor majority of 55% of the company through various fronts and shell companies. Rather than ruin the company or more directly take over it, Gir Quee and his officers have instead infiltrated the company, using their clout as shareholders to appoint various members of their staff to important positions in the company in logistics and starship construction. Using this shadowy influence along with strategically placed personnel, Gir Quee and a dozen high-ranking officers can pull the company's levers of power like puppet-masters, if they so desire. However, for the most part they are content to let the corrupt Corellians who originally staffed the company before "Brokellia" to run the day to day operations, even as they secretly glean intelligence information from their sales to locate and hunt down criminals or divert newly completed starships to rebel allies or their own false flag fleets.

(OOC Note: All members of the Directorate can use this company to make submissions)
