With a frustrated expression on her face Akodya strode down the buzzing streets of Corellia. She couldn't believe the situation she had found herself in. A Jedi Knight of the famed Jedi Order, was lost. On the planet she was born on. Inwardly groaning The padawan's hazel eyes flickered over signs and faces, searching for anything that would hint at a way back to her mother's home. Dressed in her more relaxed attire, she felt exposed without her robes. They were so easy to hide away in. Crossing her arms Akodya made a silent vow to never go shopping on any planet that wasn't Coruscant ever again. Looking around at other young women her age, Akodya felt her heart sink. What was she doing? shopping seemed like such a..normal thing to do. Other girls go shopping, Jedi meditate for hours on end. The temple seemed so very separate from the rest of the galaxy. Her thoughts soon wondered to a question that had been on her mind more and more recently; What would life be like for her if she wasn't a Jedi?

Stop being so stupid, Just by something nice to keep Mother happy then get home! She thought to herself, flicking a loose strand of hair out of her face.

After what seemed like hours of weaving through swarms of people and blocking out yells and chit chat, the crowd seemed to thin out. Looking around at the area she now found herself in, Akodya knew she had never been in this part of town before. She didn't like it. Rubbing one of her bare arms with one hand and with her other inching towards the saber that was hidden away, the padawan was overcome with an uneasy feeling.

Stang, where am I now?

"Is she high?" Whispered a dark skinned man.

"She better, the hell, not be!" Yelled a furious tanned man.

Both, exquisitely dressed, men huddled around a door in an alleyway. They threw a few choice Corellesi words under their breath before turning back to their disgruntled employer. "We are...truly sorry...all of this preparation...we will give you a full refund of course."

A woman scowled from a few meters down the alleyway and towards the two mulling men. "My employer does not appreciate being...inconvenienced," she said in an unimpressed tone, "I will inform him."

Pressing her wrist communicator she turned and walked towards the crowds beyond the entrance to the alleyway. "Sir...the subject is not in the position to fulfill her obligations."

In the ritz and glamour of the streets of Coronet City's money, a purpose driven man walked towards an attractive brunette and grabbed her (@[member="Akodya Mune"]) by the arm. "You don't know me...but I believe that you could save my life," he said calmly pulling her about and locking eyes with her, "it really is life and death."

The stillness of the area made Akodya's skin crawl. There were still a few people out and about, but not enough to blend into. She felt to open, to exposed. A chill ran down her spine as she sensed someone stride up behind her, but before she could turn around she felt fingers curl around her arm. Akodya's heart began to race and her muscles tensed as her hand inched towards her saber. Before she could snap around a cool voice spoke from beyond her. The padawan relaxed for a moment only to be turned around to face the man who still had a grip on her.

With his piercing blue gaze meeting hers, he spoke again. Akodya wasn't hesitant to react. Snatching her limb back from the stranger as discreetly as possible she stared back up at him, her Hazel eyes scrutinizing his expression. She couldn't tell if he was for real or not. Tilting her chin up she straightened her back. "Life and death? What's the situation...?" She asked slowly and awaited his response.

Baros stopped as if offended by her question. Looking towards a nearby alley, his shoulders rotated a little in frustration. As he turned back towards the woman, he brushed a finger of one of his eyebrows. This action seemed to turn on the smile, and ignite a cheeky gleam in his eye. "I really am sorry...for some reason I took you to the type of person that would help someone in need...if that is not you...then please continue on your way."

He turned and made a beeline to the nearest shopper on the promenade. "Excuse me...I need your help...please," he said loud enough for the woman he had just left to hear.

"Sorry...I've...got an appointment to get too," said the man that Baros approached.

Undeterred Sal-Soren turned to another woman on the walkway, again someone rather close to the first brunette that he had spoken too. "Please...it is an emergency...my friend is not well..."

"Oh...I am...um...not feeling well myself, I would not want to make them more sick," came the obvious lie in response.

Baros allowed this rejection to furrow his brow. He allowed only the momentary glance towards the attractive woman he had first approached.

The man seemed taken aback by her question, turning his handsome features toward and alleyway he made some kind of gesture before facing Akodya again with a wide grin and a mischievous glimmer in his blue eyes. Well, it wasn't that she had said no! she just...needed some background information, that was all. Rushing into things wasn't the padawan's style. Before she could open her mouth to answer the man made a dramatic dash to another shopper, begging with just enough volume for Akodya to hear. This charade went on for a little while, the man still asking shoppers conveniently in her line of vision. He wasn't actually trying to guilt trip her was he?

A pang of conscience struck her when he briefly met her eyes once more, and a frustrated sigh escaped her lips. The Jedi reluctantly strode toward him and eyed him suspiciously. "Alright, I can help you're...friend, was it?" She asked, her voice stiff and laced in forced politeness. Maybe it was just the annoyance of being lost and feeling tired that had her tense, but then again, she got the feeling there was an ulterior motive behind that wide smirk of his.

"Just tell we where to go."

If I end up sold as a slave dancer I am going to be furious.

Baros smiled. Success! With a confident glow he marched over to the new found hero of his life and offered her his arm. "May I escort my lady?" He said indicating with a confident gesture towards the alleyway across the way.

The alley itself did not look like the normal alley in this area. Most were clean and tidy, more routes to alternative stores and boutique outlets for high end stores on the main roads. They were never slummy, and always well lit. This alley was oddly unclean and rather grungy looking. The odd thing was that it was almost purposely so. All the grunge and dirt looked organized and placed. Outside the entrance stood a couple of men in suits with earpieces guarding the roped off entrance to the alley.

"Names Baros, Baros Sal-Soren," he said with a grin, "your name is?"

With a smug smile the man swaggered back toward her, holding his arm out for her to take. Self assurance radiated of him like a bad smell. Akodya ignored his notion and began to stride toward the alleyway he had gestured to with quiet caution. "You don't need to escort me arm in arm." She said without looking over her shoulder at him.

The padawan raised a single eyebrow at the area. Unlike the other alleyways in this shopping district, the walls that outlined the space were aged and dark. A odd shadow was cast in between the buildings making the section seem dim and unwelcoming. It was so out of place, that it seemed like it was on purpose. The grime on the concrete and walls seemed put there with a careful hand. Maybe made to keep others away from it? Possibly to put a person off strolling down there so no one would accidentally happen upon something they shouldn't. Of course, the set up wasn't exactly what caught the young woman's attention first. A pair of large men in dark suits waited like statues outside the entry. What in the galaxy was that about?

Once the man introduced himself she snapped around to face him.

Sal-Soren?

Suddenly the what seemed like hired muscle made sense. Akodya knew of that family, having heard it so many times growing up on Coruscant in the temple. The Sal-Sorens were known for one thing; money, and lots of it. Akodya tried not to scowl. "Akodya," She answered him, deciding not to present herself as 'Padawan Mune'. Her Coruscanti name all she wanted him to know at this point. The Jedi hadn't decided if she trusted Baros yet.

"And your companions in fancy dress are...?" She questioned with burning tawny eyes, motioning toward the two stone faced men.

"Suit yourself," he said with a shrug and a smile. Baros just needed to keep it cool. She seemed resistant which would make it tough, but she had what it took to fix his dire need. If she was not going to walk arm in arm with him, that was a bad sign, but not the end of the story.

Beyond the two guards stood two other men dressed in fine attire. Both looked artistic in nature given their flare for the extravagant. Around them floated several droids, each with a lens as it main feature. The were high priced photography equipment, though not everyone in the galaxy was accustomed to seeing their type around. Aside from that there was an attractive 20 something woman in business formal attire, she was pressed and neat with just a touch of school teacher to her look. "Jon and Jak," Baros said pointing to the two men either side of him, "this is Akoyda...she is good to enter and exit throughout the day."

"Understood Mr Sal-Soren," replied either Jon or Jak, it was hard to tell, probably for a reason.

"Ethl," Baros said with a slight wave of his hand, "I think our problems are solved." With a casual gesture he indicated the woman standing to his side.

"Hmmm," she mused, "not really in keeping with what we had in mind...but I will let the 'artists' decide if they can work with this."

Baros rocked on his heels a little and cast Akoyda was supposed to be a reassuring smile. In the interim, the one known as Ethl made her way over to the two men that were looking on from a distance down the alley. One of them put his finger up and could easily be made out to have said, "No". The other cast a shocked and annoyed glance at his partner with mouth open in surprise before his hand gestured towards Akodya and a few words were spoken towards his dissenting compatriot. The negatively outspoken one could be seen to shrug and shake his head before relenting, "Fine".

The one that seemed to have been defending Akoyda then marched on over to the young woman and took her by the hand. "Come with me darling...let's get you changed."

Akodya stood there rather awkwardly as the group of men that lingered at the back of the alley and the woman conversed. Baros shot her a bright smile as he rocked back and forth on his heels in a childish manor, obviously trying to be encouraging, but she still had no idea what on earth they wanted her to do. She didn't have to stretch her awareness to feel the men's displeasure when they openly gestured toward her. She briefly glanced down at her shabby civilian attire and frowned. A little bit offended Akodya turned her attention away from the group and studied the surroundings once more. A small band of interesting droids were setting themselves up, adjusting their own lens and lighting. She hadn't really seen many of those machines before, but Akodya knew they were used for taking pictures.

As soon as the woman in crisp business wear had finished her discussion, Ethl her name was, she walked straight over to the padawan, her tall shoes echoing as she did so. Firmly taking her hand Ethl told her it was time for her to change, and suddenly everything fell into place. The Alleyway, the droids, the suspicious beings whispering to themselves...

Oh no...no no no. This is a misunderstanding!

Whipping around to glare at Baros, a mixture of frustration and anxiety rose from the pit of her stomach. She felt cheated. Stupid and cheated. Her Jedi habits had made her come to the conclusion that this had to be some hidden meeting point for some kind of backhand deal, and of course she was wrong. It was a kriffing photo shoot, wasn't it?

"Changed?" She managed to stammer, wanting nothing more to slap that stunning smug look of his face. She was a Jedi of the Order! a being that dedicated her life to the people of the republic! No some...some...

She couldn't even make herself think of the word.

"You didn't tell her?" Ethl said rhetorically to Baros who simply smiled and shrugged in reply, "come on Miss Akodya."

She led Akodya back to a booth that was set aside for changing in and out of garments. As she walked past, one of the artists grimaced. "We will have to do something with the hair..."

"...but it's better than the alternative."

"...indeed."

Baros pulled back the barrier all the way and moved them out of the view of the end of the alleway. "Jon...Jak...when she comes out we are going to have her walk from this end towards the booth at the end...you will need to move to the side so we cannot see you...we want to see the beautiful people behind you."

"Understood Mr. Sal-Soren," came the reply.

Within the booth there was a headless, armless and legless manikin with a garment on it. Outside the small booth there was a bit of a hustle and bustle. "Now...we don't have all day!" Came the voice of one of the artists, clearly the impatient one.

Although Akodya wanted to throw all the curses she knew at Baros at this point of time, she was quickly shuffled toward a changing booth and shoved in, biting her lip in frustration at the comments of the 'artists'. What was wrong with her hair? Blowing a loose strand out of her face Akodya sighed, making a mental note to never wonder around Corellia ever again. She was left alone with the outfit she presumed she was to be sporting. the first thing that caught her eyes were extremely small shimmering lower piece. It looked so tight and form fitting. Swallowing hard Akodya removed her light saber from her belt, hunting for some way the weapon could be concealed within the garment. She felt so vulnerable without it.

"Now...we don't have all day!" Hissed a voice from outside the small changing space. Akodya scowled and mimicked his works mocking to herself silently so no one outside would hear. Safely hidden away from view the brunette began to peel of her clothes and awkwardly wriggle into the garment. As expected the tiny bits of material one might call pants hugged her lower body. Slipping over the rather eccentric looking overcoat. At least the shirt fit comfortably. Although were wasn't really anywhere to stash her weapon. Reluctantly she wrapped her old clothes around the sliver hilt and hoped no one would happen upon it.

Taking a sharp breath of air the Jedi regained her perfect posture and walked out of the booth, waiting for whatever will come next.

Never again.

One of the artists grimaced, it was the impatient one, "Well...let's do something with that hair, come...come!"

A chair and mirror station was set up to the side of the booth and Akoyda was led to sit there. What followed as a lot of fussing, tugging, pulling and twisting before her hair was in such a cacophonous state that you would imagine an artist being even more displeased. "There, that is pretty close to my vision...come come!"

The cameras started circling as Akodya was led to the entrance of the alley. There Baros was standing with a wide grin on his face. "You look beautiful! Thank you so much...you are a life saver," he said before walking past her with two thumbs well directed skywards, "now all we want you to do...is look moody...and walk towards us with attitude...stomp those high heels you've got on..."

"Ah...Mr Sal-Soren...you are paying me to do this part."

"My apologies," Baros said with a tip of his head and a small smirk.

"Alright! Will our model PLEASE do as Mr. Sal-Soren suggested," came the order from the lead artist.

The cameras began to circle around Akodya. It was clear now that these cameras were there to construct a three dimensional representation of the moment, as well as the ancient two dimensional.

The obnoxious 'artist' led Akodya to the small mirror and table hidden behind the booth, before forcing her into the chair and began to ruthlessly pull and tug at her hair. After having it yanked and twisted so hard that the top of her skull burnt, the fussing had come to a stop. Staring at her reflection in the mirror her jaw went slack. Her hair had been morphed into some loud and attention hungry mess.

How am I going to get any of this out?!

The artist gave Akodya a disapproving look, like some how the state of her head was her own fault. As soon as she rose from the chair and was hurried to the center of the alleyway, the droids began crowd her in an almost suffocating manner. Baros was now standing further up with a large grin on his face. Before striding past her he gave two thumbs up, making Akodya's jaw tighten.

"Moody? Oh I can do moody." She hissed before turning away.

Congratulations Akodya, you are now a Jedi/push over/voluntary model. You honor your order well! Stang, this is embarrassing...what if someone from the temple sees this? STANG! She cursed to herself. Glaring slightly, Akodya reluctantly began to walk down the alley has instructed. Her current mood was already working a temperamental expression as she strode, her excellent sense of balance made walking in such large shoes a breeze, much to her delight. With her perfect posture, a result of self discipline she had been taught in the temple and her chin slightly raised in a fickle fashion...she fantasized about cutting the camera droids down.

"Wow..."

Baros almost laughed. She was to perfect. Attractive, sure not super skinny and gaunt like the woman that was as high as a sky hook in the trailer, but she was a pretty girl next door type of attractive. The thing that was unexpected was how well she pulled off the 'slightly annoyed yet disinterested look' that the catwalks of the galaxy pushed their models to evoke. And her poise. She walked on those excessively high heels like she was walking on clouds.

"Our small miracle for the day?" He asked the men next to him in a hushed tone.

"Most definitely," replied the quieter artist, "young lady...have you ever considered a career in modelling?"

"She could stand to lose a bit of weight," whispered his cantankerous compatriot.

As Akoyda walked back and forth, the cameras did their work and the artists were at least satisfied that there was something in the can. Baros sauntered over to his new found 'it' girl, well not quite that big of deal but she was better than expected, and offered a grin such as would make the Cheshire cat envious. "Simply marvelous! Akodya...you are a star, seriously," he beamed before kissing her lightly on either cheek, "I can arrange payment for you...or you can keep this garment...Glitterstim originals go for a pretty high price on Corellia these days."

It was as if a weight was lifted off her shoulders when the droids disbanded and her little catwalk experience came to an end. Although when one group fled another one flocked, the designers plus Mr. Sal-Soren drifted over with a wide variety of reactions spread across the small pack. Just catching the last of the stuffier artist's comment as they approached, Akodya decided she'd ignore it...for his sake. The Jedi had her mouth open ready to let loose the distaste she had been suppressing but was caught off guard by Baros' generous, charming yet mischievous smile. Complimenting her, the young man briefly brushed his lips to each cheek, which took her by surprise even more than that grin had. Her whole body seized up at what she felt was sudden contact.

As he began suggesting a way to pay her, but Akodya quickly shrugged off all of his suggestions. "I'm alright, thanks. I don't need anything..." She said, trying to regain composure. Were would I even wear something like this? It's not exactly practical, and I don't really need credits. She thought. Her main goal at this point was to get the damn shopping done and return to her mother's house before the woman flipped.

"I'd rather just change and leave." She continued a little bit bluntly, her concerns lingering to her weapon that was still left alone under the mass of clothes in the changing booth.
