Among the first hyperspace explorers, Corellians have had a love for the stars since time immemorial. With legendary smugglers, swoop racers, and pilots, the planet was considered by many to be the mecca of spacetravel and their citizens had a reputation for having rocket fuel for blood. With advanced cities and well respected shipwrights Corellia was a shining jewel in the Galactic Core. Even after the Breaking of Corellia the planet's tenacious citizens and brazen smugglers are back at it again bringing their smooth one liners and blood pumping spice runs. But not all is fine on Corellia. After the collapse of the Galactic Alliance the Sith Empire have claimed control over many sectors in the Core, including Corellia, leaving the proud fliers grounded. Galvanized by their unjust planetary confinement and years of pressure from external governments the self-determined Corellians have reached out to all of the systems in the Corellian Sector.

The Confederation Will Rise Again!
Fiercely independent and on a backlash of more conservative rhetoric, the Corellian Confederation has reinstated the Corellian Defense Force, a fully militarized CorSec dedicated to keeping the spacelanes of the Corellian Sector safe from pirates, smugglers, and foreign powers. Under the "New Class Modernization Act" the CDF quietly builds its strength in hopes of one day overthrowing the Sith Imperial blockade that has been strangling their world since the fall of the Galactic Alliance.

CorSec has become increasingly harsh on punishments such as smuggling and patrols have increased even in the infamous Blue Sector of Coronet City. Investigators are on the hunt for the leaders of crime gangs. Crack downs on illegal swoop racing rings have increased and CorSec relations with shippers and smugglers has become nearly hostile. Under the watchful eye of Director Basali CorSec's own intelligence operations have become the de facto secret police, keeping the people safe from insurgents, assassinations, and political threats both at home and abroad.

Underworld Rising...
Despite these crackdowns on smuggling and the Sith Imperial Blockade, smuggling is booming now more than ever. In an attempt to snuff out the rebellious spirit of the Corellian people the blockade has been incredibly harsh on food and medical imports, rendering low income districts food deserts, forcing the locals of these places to rely heavily on the goodhearted and witty smugglers Corellia was known for. But this plight has also brought out the worst in the Corellian Underworld. Local and external crime syndicates have taken notice to the situation on Corellia and have taken advantage of their need for smuggled goods, jacking up prices and forcing smugglers to take on their weapons and drugs, proliferating violence into the streets of Corellia.

Hope is not lost for Corellia. Joining forces with other large powers in the Core they have pledged to help and join the New Republic. Still considered largely independent Corellia has pledged its military support to the budding nation and sits at equal standing to the rest of the member worlds.

The Corellian Confederation is a Minor/Sub-Faction of the New Republic. Our goals thus align with theirs. We hope to foster a fun and engaging environment to those who wish to play in a highly organized military environment on a Lightside/Neutral faction. We hope to provide such an experience while also aiding the New Republic further their own goals. We also hope to be a haven for play between those who wish to write in the criminal underworld, as corrupt politicians, line teetering intelligence agents, smugglers, cops, and everyday shippers.

As we are a Sub-Faction of the New RepublicWe hope that our members aid the Republic in their Dominions, Invasions, Skirmishes, and Faction threads. We also encourage inter-play and creativity among yourselves. As we are a minor faction there are few threads that feel like they have any impact on the board as a whole so we want to foster small, interpersonal stories between our writers and encourage a sense of ambition and initiative. We hope to be a home to law abiding citizens just as much as a den of scum and villainy!

The Corellian Defense Force​

​

Birthed from the need for Corellia to defend herself and her sister systems within the Corellian Sector, the Corellian Defense Force was reactivated after the Galactic Alliance's fall. Pulling from the naval branch of CorSec as its base, the Corellian Defense Force became the planet's main fighting force and the main peacekeeping power in the Corellian Sector. They differentiated themselves from CorSec by omitting the white and green and instead adopted a more aggressive black and orange.​

Corellian Defense Force: Office of Corellian Security​

Corellian Security, also known as CorSec, operated mostly as the main law enforcement group within the Corellian System. It was the second branch of the Corellian Defense Force and also held three sub-divisions. The Corellian Police was simply that, security and law enforcement division of CorSec which was comprised of Beat Cops, Detectives, and Tactical Response Agents and had almost sector wide jurisdiction. CorSec Troopers took charge of other ground-based peacekeeping duties and served as a powerful military group and maintained a modest Air Force. They proudly wore Corellian Green on their armor and starfighters. Together these two sub-divisions of CorSec defended Corellian colonies and Confederate worlds. CorSec also had a small naval presence in the form of its Smuggling Interdiction Division which worked closely with the Corellian Defense Force.

Corellian Defense Force: Office of the Navy​

The CDF consisted of three main branches; the Navy, Starfighter Corps, and Marines. The Navy was the largest branch of the CDF and acted as a force projection tool for the Confederation, interstellar security, and acted as limited atmospheric support for CorSec Troopers and the Corellian Marine Corps. The Corellian Marine Corps [CMC] were a rapid reaction force and operated closely with and utilized the Navy and Starfighter Corps in transportation and deployment with a staggering 85% of their forces serving on CDF Navy vessels as troops on standby and security for the ships. Last, but certainly not least, the Corellian Starfighter Corps were the elite pilots of the Corellian Confederation. They were easily among some of the best pilots in the New Republic and took pride in their black and orange X-Wings. They all served on Corellian Confederation vessels. Combined the CDF was a force to be reckoned with and was easily one of the largest and most robust defense forces in the New Republic.

Corellian Naval Intelligence​

Corellian Naval Intelligence, originally a branch of CorSec, was the Corellian Confederation's main intelligence organization. It became clear with the attack by Ella Nova, a Sith agent posing as a New Republic Senator, that the Confederation truly could count little on its allies in the world of intelligence. As a result, the Office of Corelian Naval Intelligence was formed. Comprised of several main and support branches, CNI operated its own Fleet of covert warships, the Tactical Response Team - which operated with its own rules of engagement and top secret clearances, and the Special Operations branch which operated numerous black operations units that were entirely secret. On top of their military and surveillance operations they also oversaw secret programs and advanced weapons research and development.

A Hive of Scum and Villainy​

Corellia has always had a proud military history and a strong code of ethics with Law and Order being highly valued. However its penchant for top-notch smugglers and corrupt officials has left the recovering world rife with criminal gangs, smuggling rings, pirate gangs and the like. A gang war is brewing in the streets of Coronet City and Corellia's other super cities. Smaller settlements still suffering from the effects of the Cataclysm live almost entirely under the boot of these gangs. Trapped in their biodomes and without an easy way to get foods and medicines many cities and towns on the recovering world rely on smugglers and their smuggling rings. Some pirates have even taken control of supply in these dire situations. Remnants of the First Order and the Sith Empire still linger in some portions of the Corellian Sector as well! Will you join the fight to clean the Corellian Sector, or will you join Corellia's criminal underworld and reap the benefits of a broken world?

Introducing Halcyon Operations

To Victory! Halcyon Operations were a Special Operations and Tactics branch of the Corellian Confederation. Comprised entirely of the revered and incredibly effective Halcyon Commandos of the Halcyon Program, they operated in various roles throughout the Confederation. While most served aboard the battlecruisers of the Corellian Navy, many also served alongside CorSec Troopers and as elite soldiers of Corellian Naval Intelligence. They were in fact technically a sub-branch of Corellian Naval Intelligence and acted as their sword, eyes, and ears into the other branches of Corellian Defense. While recruiting into the super soldier program was open, participants were chosen from the pool through very strict criteria, ensuring only the best of the best were admitted. More often than not however the members of the Halcyon Program are hand picked by Director Basali of Corellian Naval Intelligence or a panel of Halcyon Overseers.

The order of the Green Jedi is an order forgotten to the annuls of time, an order that is less strict and more freeform in the way they operate. Everyone from the Grandmaster down to the lowest apprentice are allowed far more freedom than they would be with another order, and known to be highly independent.

Above even the lightside of the force their duty is to the Corellian Confederation, preserving order and justice within its territories. Outside of it the Green Jedi are not as reclusive as they once were instead branching out providing aid to the allies of the Light when able.

Grandmaster:
The leader of the Green Jedi Order is not one considered the most powerful, or even the wisest of the Jedi within the group. Instead, it is the most distinguished Jedi that has been nominated by the council as a whole to represent them and guide them in times of Chaos or Darkness.

Master of the Order:
One elected as a leader of the Council this individual is one who is much like the Grandmaster voted in, and at times can even be the Grandmaster as well. Their duties include frequent cooperation and counsel with different branches of the Corellian Confederation. Giving vital input or even taking on the role of an ambassador to deliver word of council decisions.

Green Jedi Council:
Distinguished members of the order that have proven themselves through great acts within the order and alongside the Confederation. These individuals are tasked with voting on decisions that will guide and decide the ways in which the Order operates and delegates the most important of missions.

While an Order that is known for being lax in terms of their organization there are also different branches within the order where one could willingly enlist themselves. These branches serve different goals, or have duties beyond that of a regular member of the Order. Ranging from serving alongside the CDF on the frontlines, all the way to going to ground and operating from the shadows with the CNI.

Jedi Peacekeeper:
Individuals that have gone beyond the call of duty and willingly put their lives on the line alongside the CDF. Peacekeepers are often tasked with duties such as aiding Corsec in defending Corellian Colonies and Confederate roles. Often times by taking part in suppressing violence, or taking part in police investigations. The more determined of these individuals will even join the battlefield on the frontlines. The experienced Peacekeepers may even work side by side with the officers of Corsec to command troops.

Jedi Shadows:
The dark is an insidious thing, it is one that can not always be defeated with brute force, it at times requires cunning and a will strong enough to do what must be done. Those who embark down this path are known for going to ground, infiltrating dark sects or Orders and destroying them from within. In tandem with the CNI these beings may even act as spys, informants and if necessary even assassins in the battle against those who’d dare endanger Corellia or the Confederation.

Jedi Watchmen:
While there are those, of course, more equipped for fighting or those willing to give up themselves in the name of the order these individuals choose a different path. The Watchmen are the librarians that fill a youths head with knowledge, those willing to sit down and speak with other political powers and offer advice. Even at times going so far as to act as envoys for the Confederation to other worlds or even establishing Praxeums in the Orders name.

For the heroism and sacrifice shown by the Soaring First Fleet, the people of Balmorra have joined the growing Confederation. After the capture of their Lord Admiral the Admiralty of Humbarine have also begrudgingly joined with peace and trade brokered between the Balmorra system, the Humbarine System, and the Corellian Confederation. With their Lord Admiral returned and given the rank of High Admiral within the Defense Force navy crisis has so far been averted. ​

Also of note, the heroes of the Green Jedi led troops both on the ground and in the stars. Without them the battle may have been lost. Alongside them two allies took to the battle to aid our brave men and women. War Brews in the Core​

The Corellian Confederation clashes in a border skirmish over the planet of Kuat. While members of the First Fleet fought valiantly, the Kuat system and later the Alderaan system, fell under Core Imperial control. Efforts are being made to contact sympathetic systems in the sector in order to aid in further military resistance to the tyranny of the CIC.

In other news, representatives in the Ebaq system have contacted the Corellian Council in regards to joining the confederation after the tragic crash and destruction of the passenger liner Lucid Star and the cargo vessel Andromeda Star. The Diktat, Lisza Starseeker gave a statement after several sources indicated many on the passenger liner were bound for Corellia herself. The Diktat attributed the crash to the actions of roving pirate gangs which have become much more common in the Core Worlds as well as Colonies and Deep Core citing the recent and unprecedented pirate raid on Prakith. Representatives in the Balosaar system are also set to join after a similar pirate raid on First Fleet vessel CDF:2 Starchild was thwarted in a nearby system.

The Diktat has pushed forward a motion for an increase in military spending with rumored plans to integrate the recently released Starhawk Mk. II from Republic Engineering into the fleets of the Corellian Navy. In these dark times the Confederation believes it has tracked a large portion of the recent Pirate activity to a stretch of space between the Hosnian and Nubian systems. While Nubia has in the past been a proud part of the Corellian Sector, its recent alliegance to the Silver Jedi seems to have allowed these miscreants to flourish. Plans have been put in motion to aid in the patrol of these systems as the Diktat leaves for Kashyyyk...

Flying to Victory: The Corellian Starfighter Corps

For as long as space combat has been waged, the deciding factor in battle time and time again has been the starfighter. Able to nimbly fly through both space and atmosphere the daring souls that put themselves in the crosshairs of enemy capital ships have been sung as heroes throughout history. Pivotal in such legendary battles as the Battle of Yavin and Endor, The Battle of Scarif, and hundreds more lost to time, the pilots of the Galaxy’s Starfighter Corps have been instrumental in forging the path of the Galaxy. ​

Among the best pilots in the ‘verse, the Corellian Starfighter Corps, also known as Corellian Starfighter Command, proudly fly for the Corellian Confederation to defend the worlds that have come together in this tumultuous time in the Core. Comprised of Corellia’s non-Navy pilots, the CSC operates as its own distinct branch of the Corellian Defense Force. Unlike its sister branches, the pilots and starfighters of the CSC sport classic white and green uniforms and a variety of paint jobs on their starfighters. ​

While a separate entity from the Corellian Navy and Army branches, pilots of the Starfighter Corps often served alongside Navy and Army pilots, calling cruisers, space stations, and land bases home for various stints of time. Alongside the Navy, the Starfighter Corps operated in an expeditionary role, able to quickly respond to threats and project power over far flung systems. The Starfighter Corps did operate a limited amount of ground bases and carriers on their own however alongside their responsibilities operating Golan Fighter Platforms. ​
