DESCRIPTION
From the cobbled together pieces of companies not necessarily legally acquired, technically speaking, Coorimbus Companies was incorporated on Coorimbus IV circa 864 ABY. The property of Lord Dresta, the Prince of Kashyyyk, Coorimbus Companies is not vast nor a crowning jewel but Dresta hopes it one day will be. Holding companies that are largely known for one thing or for one type of product, it is a moderately sized company in terms of employees and locations, and shares locations with the companies that rest within its reach. Coorimbus Companies hopes to bring cutting edge technology to the galaxy, and has acquired a set of companies that Dresta believes are on the cusp of success. Still, Coorimbus Companies and its subordinates have yet to achieve mass success of their products.

Coorimbus Companies is interested in maximizing profit, and does business in a way that suits that, but not at the expense of employees. Generous pensions, college, maternal leave, equal opportunity chances for promotion, and livable wages are all features that Coorimbus Companies and subordinate companies benefit from. This has resulted in a brain trust immigration towards Coorimbus Companies’ subordinates. It has maximized its profit, however, by accepting private manufacturing requests - often regardless of the affiliation of the customer, though Dresta may veto it if the customer is, for example, a Jedi or affiliated with Darth Vulcanus or any of other Dresta’s enemy - while maintaining a loyalty to Dresta’s feudal holdings within Lords of the Sith. Dresta rather than anyone else. Dresta’s Cult may often use Coorimbus Companies or its subsidiaries as a cover identity. They are only legally benevolent, in that while they do have philanthropic measures that are not entirely necessary, they will also take advantage of local laws as much as they can.

Currently, Coorimbus Companies’ goals are to achieve a number of official contracts, create licensing agreements, and for their products to become a household name while undertaking a number of Lord Dresta’s oft-secretive projects. The fact that Coorimbus Companies is led by a Sith Lord is not known as Dresta sits as the shadowy Chairman of the secretive Board of Directors, and Coorimbus Companies is publicly believed to be spearheaded by her proxy - Violeta Zenatou, the Chief Executive Officer of the company and a Corellian that was formerly a Republic naval admiral. Violeta Zenatou’s personal agenda, amongst other things, includes attempting to build a corporate fleet for Coorimbus Companies - starting with the Nest, which is equipped primarily for hard-core self-defense defense against equally sized and smaller vessels and planet-wide experimentation and quarantine zones rather than combat.

Within the next three years, Coorimbus Companies hopes to go public in an IPO to raise venture capital as well as sell 20% of the shares within the company. They intend to expand shares at some other point, and perhaps even quadruple shares by dividing them before they make any more shares available. They believe that with enough work they can acquire a definite presence of shareholders within the company, confident that this will raise Coorimbus Companies to a high level presence within the galactic business community - thus increasing Lord Dresta’s broader potential for wealth.
