Advanced Weapon Systems:
Hydrus: An ion cannon with an enhanced firing rate and increased stopping power at the expense of overheating.
Screamer: For the Conyers, the aspect to disguise ion drives has been stripped, and instead the ‘screamer’ active jammer has an increased chance to interfere with homing devices on missiles.
Phantom: A compact, high-output jamming sensor that relies on its DERP to be able to absorb and block incoming long range sensor pings.
Ion: The frigate can be something of a pest to those with little to no defenses against Ion weaponry.
Armament: Outside of the ion cannons, and the mines the Conyers offers no additional armament meaning those with defenses against ion weaponry are able to take advantage of the ship’s lack of kinetic or plasma-type weaponry.
Vulnerabilities: Vulnerable to Ion/EMP based weaponry.
The Conyers II is loaded with more scientific laboratories and research facilities than the typical frigate but by no means is completely unable to defend itself. Using ion cannons, and a modular mine launcher the science frigate is able to fight back. Additionally making use of its sensor jammers and two squadrons she is able to buy time and get to safety.
The vessel has an average speed and maneuverability rating which won’t stand up against limited or even semi-unique ships of higher speed/maneuverability. It can outpace those that have lower ratings and some of the larger ships with their typical lumber speeds. Screamer active jammer and the phantom short range jammer enables the Conyers II to temporarily jam enemy sensors and disappear from radar before a shot is fired. Or, before another shot is fired at the vessel.
Originally built for the First Order, the Conyers II will be avaliable for those contracted with Primo Victorian.
