Private Converse Among the Crystals

Snow hissed under boot soles as Thea Nyko approached the gathered group of Younglings waiting at the temple door. While most would be bundled up in layers due to the cold climate of the planet, Thea seemed just fine. She was asked to lead this group through the Gathering, an honor she happily accepted.

Once they got pased the first test, where the little ones had to use the Force to break the fallen snow blocking the door, Thea huddled them in a circle inside the heart of the temple. "Alright little ones... " She started to address the Younglings. "A Jedi is the Force manifested as a physical being. Great responsibility is placed on us to protect the galaxy and keep the peace. How do we do that?"

Several expressions turned confused as they pondered the question. A moment later, Thea unclipped her saber from her belt, using the Force to lift it in the air between her and the Younglings. "A lightsaber is the Jedi's weapon. Every one is unique, just as every Jedi is unique. The time has come for you all to construct your own."

There was chorus of excited cheers from the kids, which earned a playful grin from Thea. She secured her saber back to her belt, letting them get the excitement out of their system first before telling them the rest.

Alexandra had been watching, her visit to the place intended on being a short one so she did not expect to be around for much longer but being able to see the Temple training the few younglings was comforting. It seemed that even with the destruction they had faced, there was some good that could be found in the world around them at the moment. It was a small bit of happiness and a future that Alexandra could appreciate forming before them while darker forces spread through the galaxy.

She would wait for Thea continue showing them the small display, that it was time for them all to construct their all and for this Alexandra felt further interest by observing and taking part. Even now her feet moving her to intercept them, her appearance from seemingly no where mixed with her robes making her almost look like a ghost for a moment before she warmly smiled at them.

"I see it is time for them to take their next steps? I hope I am not interrupting, but could I please join you all. It has been a long time since I have seen such bright futures create their own sabers." She would smile to the children, helping to calm any surprise or worry from her appearance before looking then towards Thea with her gaze asking the same question a bit more seriously.

Thea's lips quirked into a half-smile, her arms folding as she regarded Alexandra's sudden appearance. The younglings were already whispering at how she had seemingly drifted from nowhere, their eyes wide with the kind of awe only children could muster.

"Well, you sure know how to make an entrance," Thea said, tone dry but not unkind. She glanced back at the children, catching a few nervous faces and rolling her eyes good-naturedly. "Relax, she's not a ghost."

That earned a round of soft giggles from the group, enough to break the tension. Then her expression softened, sincerity bleeding through the teasing.

"You're not interrupting," Thea continued, her voice carrying the steadiness of reassurance. Her amber eyes lingered on Alexandra a moment longer, a silent measure in them before she inclined her head. "So yes. Join us. Just don't outshine me too much, or they'll start asking you to lead these lessons instead."

Her smile returned, lopsided with a flash of wry humor, but her tone left no doubt she welcomed Alexandra's presence.
