OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

SETTING INFORMATION

  • Structure Name: Sales and Contract Office of PVS

  • Classification: Office Building

  • Location: Varada V

  • Affiliation: Primo Victorian Shipwright

  • Accessibility: Public Access

The Contract and Sales Office is open to the public, but you’ll need to be buzzed in. PVS does not accept walk-ins, you must make arrangements to visit the office ahead of time. The offices are located in the main United Speeder Services tower and occupy floors forty-two through forty-eight. Giving them a great view of the city including Lightwave Plaza, the nearest speeder station is on the fifty-second floor on the west side of the building.

[*]
Security: Moderate

  • Security guards and smart holocards along with fingerprint scans keep various parts of the offices secure less secure areas only require the holocards. Although the sales office is relatively secure, guards can still ask to pat down any visitor if they feel the visitor is suspicious in nature.

[*]
Description: Sitting on the forty-second floor the main office has glasteel doors with their emblem frosted over. Two titanium handles greet you and once you step in, your feet are met with plush blue carpeting. Two white colored couches flank on either side of you, the main secretary asks you to check in and she’ll be with you shortly. Behind her another set of doors but their solid. Made of a wood you can’t quite discern but certainly worth the money you suspect. A small hallway seems to cut across the front of the secretary’s desk with people walking to and from. As you take your seat on a chair beside one of the sofas, the material is quite plush and the color matches the sofa the armrests are black and end up leaving marks on your arm the longer they rest there. Much of the office is like this blue carpeting, muted tone walls with retro art posters on either wall that highlight the ships of Empires past. First Order and Varada V flags sit on either corner facing you as you sit facing out toward the same pair of glasteel doors.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
United Speeder Services the reigning kings of speeder services within the First Order built their tower on Sor Yusan, muscling themselves into the skyscraper game there. They soon realized they needed more than just themselves to fill it and rather than give their competitors the Red Speeder Services a floor, they began to contract with various prominent and state owned companies.

Primo Victorian was one of those companies, as they were looking for a place to fit their sales and contract office. Having been beaten to the upper floors by Brandt-Volcata Industries, PVS settled for the forty-second through forty-eighth floor to meet their needs. Here they were finally able to install a smaller satellite office away from Victoria, alleviating sales from there so that they could focus on designs, while Sor Yusan picked up the tab on contracts and sales.

PVS just like all the other companies moved into the facility just after the rebellion on Kaeshana. The building’s history goes beyond that and prior to being built by USS, there sat several smaller skyscrapers once owned by the now defunct Imperial Exchange. It cost United Speeder Services approximately forty million Imperial pounds (about fifty two million credits) to demolish the old exchange and built their tower and was considered quite a steal to do so at the time.
