Description: The Consul-class Frigate was designed to serve as the mobile headquarters of Natasi Fortan, the dean of the First Order's diplomatic and government corps. Natasi Fortan worked with First Order engineers directly to assist in the design of the first ever Consul, the Frontrunner. She was heavily involved in the design and outfitting of the maiden ship, and as such it includes some upgrades that wouldn't be present in the subsequent models, in the form of more premium trim options, like real wood tables in her conference room and personal office, imported marble fixtures in her suite's 'freshers, etc. The ship is designed to serve as a traveling home and office for its master, as well as a traveling embassy to impress those who view it, either inside or out. It is staffed by First Order naval personnel and army, as well as containing offices for First Order government personnel to assist the principal's work.
The ship is solidly built, with a minimally-obtrusive bridge set towards the back of the ship. The rear of the vessel is flanked by large thrusters, each containing a supporting landing thrust (in addition to the half-dozen build into the main fuselage of the vessel that retract during flight) and flanked by protective armor plating in order to provide additional safeguarding to the ship's primary advantages: speed and agility. The front of the ship has a large, transparisteel viewport making up an entire half of an observation chamber. This observation chamber serves as a state room to entertain visiting dignitaries in comfort and style. The rest of the ship's working areas (those spaces that would be traveled by the government or visiting dignitaries) are similarly appointed to impress. All areas of the ship are kept immaculately clean and efficiently organized so as to not interfere with the working of the ship, or the actual piloting of the ship.
The Consul-class is equipped with consumables for two years (one never knows when one will need to throw an impromptu state dinner). The underside of the bow of the ship opens with a ramp for personnel ingress and egress. The rear of the ship also opens opens, with an optional ramp lowering to unload the armored speeder. If the hangar is opening in space, no ramp lowers, but the opening is large enough to allow for the launch of the Frigate's single fighter escort squadron.

- Agile: Designed to outmaneuver and outrun enemies rather than destroy them, the Consul-class Frigate is rather quick and nimble.
- Imposing: Meant to convey an image of strength, wealth, and import, the Consul-class is meant to impress those who view it with an idea of First Order greatness.
- Mediocre armament: As a purported consular ship, the Consul-class isn't particularly well-armed, bearing some weapons for defense.
