STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES
Mechanical Whiz-Kid: Connie has an innate understanding of mechanisms and consumer-grade electronics. Never without a hydro-spanner or a socket wrench, Connie can whip up a fix in half an instant. More often than not, she can make it run faster, better and more efficiently while she's at it. Her knowledge tends to be heavily focused on the cheaper end of components and brands, though she could easily carry her understanding up to more respectable or expensive systems.

Quick-thinker: Part of what makes her an excellent mechanic is her ability to think quickly, adapt to situations and improvise. With a mind that moves a mile a minute, Connie can come up with new plans and solutions almost immediately, continually evaluating them as she puts them into action. Whether it's a repair job, a new circuitry diagram or a way to resolve a family argument, she's the first one there with the plan. Just try to ignore the part where she talks to herself.

Frustrated: Years of being 'the nice one' in the family have had their toll. When your teenage rebellion gets ignored because you're still too nice to be noticed, it can start to grate. Often overshadowed and always underappreciated, Connie is ready to do something reckless in order to strike out, be seen and live her own life.

Plain-speaking: Connie has very little filter. Social niceties weren't a large component of her upbringing and she has learned several creative insults in her time. Whilst she doesn't always mean to hurt or offend people, she very often does.

Focused Education: Connie's clever but has a narrow focus. With her mechanical ability, Connie naturally gravitated towards that at the detriment of a broader knowledge base. Whilst not a failure at school, she tends to be distinctly, disappointingly average at best. Aside from Math, which she scarily excels in.

BIOGRAPHY:
Connie Copal can cope. That's what they used to say at school. And at home. Most places she went, in fact. When you've got five older siblings and you're the only girl, you learn pretty quickly how to deal with that. Born to parents who desperately needed a holoscreen in their bedroom, Connie is the youngest child and only girl. Her family own and operate a small mechanical repair shop on planet, tending to the third-hand starships, speeder bikes and datapads of people visiting the busy port.

Growing up amongst a bunch of bratty brothers, Connie was often involved in petty arguments and brawls. Her parents may have hoped that their only daughter would be above it all, but she was happy to prove them wrong. She was, however, the only one of the children who involved herself deeply with the family trade. Brought up around components, machines and engineering, Connie has an uncanny knack for dealing with electronics and mechanics of all kinds. As Connie grew older, her parents would often start passing on repair jobs to her, as she'd often fix it in half the time whilst being doubly reliable.

Now with adulthood looming in the distance, Connie expects to eventually leave school and take up the family business full time. The full weight of expectation and certainty on her shoulders, as her brothers grow up and leave the planet, searching for adventures of their own. Maybe, just one day, Connie might join them. If she could cope with it.
